Rosie is a 7-8 month old, sweet doodle mix pup. She currently weighs about 38 lbs, she is well socialized, loves her dog friends, and enjoys people very much. She is working hard on her potty training and is smart as can be so she will be a pleasure to train for her new family. If you're looking for a fun new pal for everything from hiking to jaunts around the neighborhood, we'd love to hear from you! This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. Hi, my name is Evan aka Quint and I have an interesting story to tell. If you can sit down and relax I will tell you about my short history! I am a gorgeous, approx 2 yr old lab mixed puppy who found myself in a bad way just 3 months old... like, hanging out at the gas station My face had injuries and scars and no one was there to care for me... UNTIL I won the "lost doggy lottery"!! People visiting on a mission to see their son graduate from Air Force boot camp the next day, found me! AND they didn't just leave me there... they took me to their hotel room (at the LA QUINTA INN..... :) and the rest is proverbial history!! They started calling around and the only nice person who actually answered her phone at 9:30pm was the founder of the rescue. One more phone call and one of the bestest people in the world picked me up at the hotel and brought me back to lost doggy heaven! Now I am awaiting the last awesome chapter to being a lost doggy and that is ADOPTION! I am about 60# full grown. I have a sweet and loving temperament and I love to play play play! I am a little bit silly and my personality EXUDES out of my pores like a sweet perfume! I am a big puppy with the greatest chance of my life.... Hey there, I go by Shy Shy, but my friends sometimes call me Pretty Girl or Silly - guess I've got a few aliases. My heritage is a bit of a mix: part Lab, part Blue Heeler, and all wiggle butt! When it comes to snacks, I'm all about the healthy stuff - carrots, apples, and peanut butter are my jam. Now, I've got a little quirk - I can be quite the alarmist around strangers. You see, I bark as a defense mechanism, but once I've given you the once-over and decided you're cool, get ready for a smooch fest. My favorite pastimes? Sunbathing, rolling in the dirt or grass after some epic zoomies in the backyard, and playing with toy bones, sticks, or my beloved PB-stuffed Kong. Oh, and squeaky toys? Don't get me started - they're the best! Car rides? Absolutely! Feeling the wind in my hair is a pure delight. Sometimes, I'll serenade you with a little snore, and as for where I sleep, well, I've got my own cozy doggie bed, but I won't say no to a spot on the couch or even the bed for some cuddle action. I've been doing great, and I'm still as sweet as ever. Just a little note, I can have some allergic reactions to food, but I'm on a special prescription diet, so no worries there. Never had an accident indoors, and I'm quite the communicator when I need to go outside.
