Story
Hello! My name is Kirby. I’m a 5-year-old doodle mix weighing about 51 pounds, with a confident stride and a happy-go-lucky attitude. I know who I am, and I move through the world with a friendly, upbeat energy that makes people smile. I’m playful, social, and always ready to join in on whatever’s happening around me. I’m good with other dogs and wouldn’t mind having some canine friends around. I am looking for a home without young kids, where things are a little calmer and more predictable for me. That kind of environment helps me relax and be my best self. I’m not shy or unsure — I’m confident, curious, and comfortable being part of a routine. What I’m looking for is a forever home that wants a fun, friendly companion who already knows how to enjoy life. I’m past the puppy chaos but still playful and full of personality. If you’re looking for a dog who will bring energy, joy, and confidence into your home, I might just be the one for you! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Hello new friends, I’m Barbie — a 10-month-old Labradoodle/Terrier mix weighing about 31 pounds, and I’m basically sweetness wrapped in fur. I’m super friendly with everyone I meet and just full of happiness and love. I’m always excited to make new friends. I may still be young, but I have the heart of a gentle little angel. I’m very sweet, eager to be loved, and I sleep perfectly through the night like the good girl I am. I’m playful and silly during the day, then curl up and snooze peacefully until morning. If you’re looking for a young dog who’s already wonderfully loving and friendly, I might be exactly that pup. I’m just a Barbie girl living in a Barbie world… but hoping to be a part of yours! Story
Meet Hunter 💛 Adult | Male | Lab x Hound x Terrier mix (best guess — but 100% good boy) Hunter’s heart has been through loss — his beloved person passed away, leaving him unsure where his world went. But even through the confusion and sadness, Hunter’s spirit shines bright. He greets every new person with open-hearted trust and that classic “Lab smile” that says, “I’m so happy to see you.” Hunter loves all humans and soaks up affection like sunshine. He’s good with female dogs and has wonderful manners — fully house trained, crate trained, and easy on a leash. He’s one of those dogs who just gets it: gentle, respectful, and grateful for every bit of love and stability you offer. He’s the kind of companion who will quietly curl up beside you, take long walks at your pace, and remind you what unconditional love feels like. After losing his person, Hunter is ready to find his next forever — someone who will give him the same loyalty and warmth he so freely gives. 🐾 If you’re looking for a devoted friend with a heart full of love and resilience, Hunter is waiting to meet you. 💛 Apply to meet him today: www.wtfarmtn.org
