Story
Jeff is a very lovable 7 month old labradoodle puppy. He currently weighs 50 pounds. He has a lot of energy and loves to jump up and hug you. He is up to date on all of his shots including rabies, and has been tested for heartworms with a negative result. Jeff also has never had any fleas or ticks. He is registered with the Fayetteville Animal Hospital on Bradley Ave who have all of his records and medical history. He also boards there and the staff know him and adore him. We recently discovered we have allergies to Jeff. It is with a heavy heart that we must re-home him. We are hoping to find a home where he will be loved and given all of the attention a puppy needs. Please know that Jeff has a sensitive stomach and is currently only eating dry kibble (Purina One). Any deviation from this will lead to explosive diarrhea. Jeff also has sensitive skin and if his paws or armpits are left wet for too long he will develop a rash. We will provide his kennel, harness and leash, and bowls.

Story
Do you love snuggles and cuddles?  Arlo, a 1-year-old labradoodle, came to us after a difficult experience in a home where he was attacked by both a protective mother dog and the male dog. He’s healing quickly and will soon be ready to find his forever home.   Arlo is as precious as he is handsome! His sweet personality makes him a favorite. We have had 100’s of dogs walk through our doors as a foster, but Arlo is a true favorite. I need him to find his forever home before my husband decides we should keep him.    We can't wait to see him thrive in a loving home where he can get all the care and attention he deserves.   Age?Arlo just turned 1! DOB: December 10, 2023   Favorite activity? Arlo loves to cuddle but love to play with toys.    Crate Trained? He absolutely hated the crate when he first got here, but he’s starting to settle in.    Potty-training- Arlo is house trained but did have an accident when he first arrived.  How does he do with kids? He’s an absolute love.    How does he do with other dogs? He gets along great with other dogs.  He does love to play.    How does he do with cats? He’s terrified of the cat!      Is he Hypoallergenic? Who knows! While we would love to say all doodles are hypoallergenic, nobody can really guarantee that.  It’s a mix between a dog who is considered “hypoallergenic” and a dog who isn’t. So, we have no idea which side wins on this one.     How big will he get? He’s full grown and weighs about 30lbs.    Training? He’s a smart boy so training should be fun with him.    He’s looking for a home that will love his snuggles as much as he loves giving them. A home that will give him lots of exercise and let him play with all the toys!   What's included in his adoption fee?  His adoption fee is $550 and includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella, influenza, and rabies. De-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), neutered and micro-chipped. Each of our dogs also receive flea and heartworm medication every month.   We look to place our dogs in homes where they are loved, allowed on furniture and treated like family so please do not apply if you are looking for an "outside dog" or if you have any dogs who live outside only. He’s a young guy so for the safety of all involved, we want you to consider this when applying to adopt. If you're looking for a dog who will keep you warm at night or snuggled by your side while watching TV, one who will enjoy playing in the yard, or one who’ll enjoy going and doing whatever the day finds, this may be the guy for you. Arlo’s wish list consists of an inside forever home. A home with lots of toys and pet parents who understand the time commitment that a new puppy requires. We’d like to see Arlo have a fenced in yard to be able to roam and play, but that’s not a deal breaker.    If you think you have the perfect home for Arlo and have questions, please contact us at HootiesHaven@yahoo.com We do out of state adoptions, but require you to come here and meet the pup if you are approved to adopt. Please feel free to ask for more details. We work hard to place our fosters in the very best homes. Please be aware that we have a lengthy application. Our application weeds out those who are not serious about adopting. When filling out the application, please be sure to include as much information and be as detailed as possible- your explanation could be what sets your application aside from the rest.    Please, if you are not serious about adoption, or if you are considering another dog, we respectfully ask you to please not proceed as our volunteers have other full time jobs and reading through applications and calling vet references is time consuming.   Please know, if you’re asked to come for a meet and greet, it’s just that- you are coming to meet the dog. We are the dogs advocate, so we are watching to see how the dog interacts with the family, and how the family interacts with the dog.  Our goal is to place all of our dogs in the home that’s best suited for them.    Link to Arlo’s Adoption Application:    https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/22197/generic   IMPORTANT MESSAGE  Our adoption interviews are being held strictly by invitation and appointment only. We are not be open for walkins. ##2272877##

Story
Wayne is an 8 month old male Lab mix, who would love to be your new best friend! He is very friendly and oh-so-eager to please. He will even occasionally jump up to your level, just to show how much he loves you. Wayne also gets along very well with other dogs, and has lived in the same pen with a few different dogs while at the shelter (currently with Rocky). The other dogs have really helped Wayne come out of his shell, bringing out his joyful lovable personality. Wayne is playful, and enjoys having short play sessions with Rocky or chasing toys with you. When he is in the park, he loves to run as fast as he can to check out everything; but then he comes running back to you, since you are MOST interesting to him! Afterwards, Wayne enjoys resting close by you, and simply hanging out together. He will make a wonderful, loving companion for someone. Please visit Wayne soon, he can’t wait to meet you! Story
Nevada is a 2 year old female Lab mix, who is friendly and sweet-natured. She absolutely loves being with people! Nevada enjoys a short run in the park, but seems to prefer spending most of her outdoor time walking around and exploring new sights and smells. Nevada is fine when passing by other dogs’ cages, and she came in to the shelter with another female dog. Still, a meet-n-greet is always recommended if other dogs live in your home. Nevada is fairly laid back, well-mannered, walks well on a leash, and will follow your lead. She also takes treats oh-so-gently from your hand, and has such sweet soulful eyes that are sure to steal your heart! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
Maddox is a 6 year old male Lab / Great Dane mix, who is a sweet and friendly boy! Maddox may be 6 years young, but don’t let that fool you - he has plenty of energy to keep up with an active family. Whether it’s walking around the neighborhood, playing Fetch in the yard, learning new tricks, or simply relaxing by your side, Maddox is all in! He thrives on being with people and would absolutely love to be your new best friend. Whenever he is in the shelter’s fenced-in park, Maddox loves to run around the perimeter and explore any new scents. He's definitely the curious type, always eager to see what’s going on around him. He also likes to greet any dogs that pass by the fence, and we’re planning to test him for doggie playgroups soon. There seems to be only one thing that Maddox doesn’t like, and that is cats … he is just too interested in the feral cats around the shelter, so a cat-free home would be best for him. Otherwise, he is a happy-go-lucky and friendly guy who just wants to find his forever family soon. If you’re looking for an active and loyal companion who is always up for an adventure, Maddox is your perfect match!
