He absolutely loves people and is great with kids. Onyx is playful, affectionate, and happiest when he has space to run, which is why he would thrive in a home with a yard or plenty of room to stretch his legs. Onyx is mostly house-trained and very social. When he sees other dogs, he gets extremely excited because he wants to run over and say hello. He’s not aggressive—just very enthusiastic and still learning his leash manners. Because of his energy, Onyx does best with an active owner who can give him exercise, structure, and plenty of toys to keep him busy. At 75 lbs, he doesn’t always realize his size and loves zoomies, so a home with space is ideal. Our dog was a Christmas gift for our two children in 2020 during the pandemic. Our family traveled nearly 100 miles to the breeder’s home to pick him up. The kids loved him and enjoyed his company. Once we returned to a “normal “ routine following the pandemic, it became a bit more challenging to keep up with daily walks and doggie care. Yet, we continued until both kids graduated from high school and left for college. We travel more now and the kids are no longer living at home to constantly love on the doggie. We’d love for him to be with someone who has more dedicated time to spend with and nurture him.

Bijou is a sweet little Poodle mix. He is about 2-3 years old and weighs 10 pounds. He was found dumped on the side of the road in a crate with another dog who has since been adopted. Bijou was matted and terrified when he arrived at Tiny Paws. It’s been a long road but he has made excellent progress and come such a long way in his foster home, but is still quite shy when meeting new people. Bijou is sweet and affectionate to his foster mom. He is so excited to see her that he gets the “tippy tappies” and that has become his nickname. He loves his foster siblings and we are requiring another confident dog in the home that can help show him the ropes!
