Our dog was a Christmas gift for our two children in 2020 during the pandemic. Our family traveled nearly 100 miles to the breeder’s home to pick him up. The kids loved him and enjoyed his company. Once we returned to a “normal “ routine following the pandemic, it became a bit more challenging to keep up with daily walks and doggie care. Yet, we continued until both kids graduated from high school and left for college. We travel more now and the kids are no longer living at home to constantly love on the doggie. We’d love for him to be with someone who has more dedicated time to spend with and nurture him.

He knows to sit when asked especially if you have a treat. He is a perfect gentleman on a leash. He sure could you a spa day. He has a lot of love to give and just wants to receive a life time of love back. Are you ready for a new best friend? Ask for ID# 16962 Run 111. He will be neutered soon and micro-chipped upon adoption. He has tested negative for heart worm. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. A year ago, we adopted Moose (Lab/hound) from the Atlanta Humane Society. He was quiet at first, but as he grew comfortable, his personality slowly came out. As he settled in, we realized just how energetic he truly is. At first, we thought it was puppy energy, but after a year of training, it’s clear this is simply who Moose is: a goofy, people‑loving, dog‑loving, American‑cheese‑obsessed ball of energy. We adore him, but we don’t run, don’t have a yard, and don’t have the time he deserves. Moose needs a family with kids to play with, space to run, and experienced dog owners who can match his energy. He's one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever met. He never meets a stranger, loves cuddles, and is a sucker for sitting on a couch and looking out the window or completely sticking his head out of the car window on car rides. His favorite things are bones and lots of love. We’re hoping to give him the fuller life he deserves.

Bijou is a sweet little Poodle mix. He is about 2-3 years old and weighs 10 pounds. He was found dumped on the side of the road in a crate with another dog who has since been adopted. Bijou was matted and terrified when he arrived at Tiny Paws. It’s been a long road but he has made excellent progress and come such a long way in his foster home, but is still quite shy when meeting new people. Bijou is sweet and affectionate to his foster mom. He is so excited to see her that he gets the “tippy tappies” and that has become his nickname. He loves his foster siblings and we are requiring another confident dog in the home that can help show him the ropes! At this time, we are also requiring a home with a fenced yard for him. ******************** Preference is given to applicants located within the metro Atlanta area. Applications from outside this area may be considered under certain circumstances. Tango is an eight-month-old, 43-pound puppy in Lena’s litter of ten puppies. They were surrendered by their owner and on their way to the vet to be euthanized when we intercepted them. Tango fun and playful, he is great with other dogs and has a very happy-go-lucky nature. Like any puppy, he needs some work, but he’s social and loves to please, so training will go fast for someone with time and patience.
