PLEASE COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION FIRST. WE DO NOT RESPOND TO ONLINE INQUIRIES - ONLY ADOPTION APPLICANTS. Meet Peggy! Peggy is a sweet and sensitive girl with a huge heart who is always ready for what’s next. Whether it’s taking a long cozy nap with you or going on a leash walking adventure! Peggy can take a little time to come out of her shell at first but once she does she will fall head over paws for you. When in new situations she may need some direction from you to show her the way but is very eager to please and gains so much confidence through each obstacle she faces. She thrives with some exercise such as walks during the day but doesn’t require heavy amounts of work. She also enjoys learning new skills like waiting before coming out of doorways, the place command, sit, down, stay, and more! She loves a good brain work out! She is very motivated by affection and eager to connect with you, but isn’t too food motivated. She is well mannered around human food, has some experience being around cats, and is currently working on healthy dog socialization in the Mirror Image K9 Day Camp program. She is happy with sleeping in her crate at night and feels safest in there when people are not around or she’s feeling overwhelmed. Continued crate training is a must! Peggy would do best in a family who loves to go on walks or hikes, is able to provide her with direction in times of uncertainty, is willing to work towards building trust in confidence in Peggy, and has just as big a heart as she does!

Story
Jordan was given to me about 1 1/2 ago from a family friend. He is playful, loves to run, and loves treats. I would love for him to be able to run in a backyard or a dog park on a consistent basis. Unfortunately, my job and school load has become too demanding for me to have time for him. He loves people and love to be rubbed.

Story
This is Mocha. Mocha is a beautiful chocolate flatcoat Labradoodle. She is 3 years old and does best with other dogs of the same size or dogs that actually like to play. She loves all people and children and is very loving. She enjoys laying on the couch, watching out the window, and getting head and belly rubs. Mocha is potty trained and doesn't have any food aggression or severe behavioral issues. She does however have a paper obsession, so any important papers are advised to be properly put away and out of her sight. Example, I lost about a roll of 50 stamps to the paper monster known as Mocha. Other than paper, she will not destroy anything else. I am not sure about her temperament with cats as we don't have any. Mocha does shed and requires brushing about once a week to maintain. She does know multiple commands (sit, paw, eat, stay, lay) and returns using her name. Mocha is a good girl and deserves a good home.

Story
Adoption Fee: $200 Physical appearance: Annie is a 12-year-old chow/Pitbull/Labrador mix. She is a medium size dog and weighs about 50lbs. She has the most adorable crinkled ears and her eyes will melt even the iciest of hearts, Personality: Annie just wants you to love her 24/7. She is a total sweetheart and will look at you like she is staring deep into your soul. She does great with the dogs in her foster home, even the testy one. She also ignores the cats. Annie can be quite protective of her foster mom if she thinks something is dangerous, and her bark is a great deterrent. All Annie wants is to sit in your lap, stare longingly into your eyes and sneak a gentle lick now and then. She LOVES breakfast and dinner and even with her age, will get a major pep in her step and try to jump as her foster mom walks her food bowl over. You know she's super excited when she nibbles and nips at your fingers while she trots by your side. She is an amazingly sweet girl that is just looking for the home to let her live out the rest of her days. Why she’s in rescue: Annie was found by one of our volunteers when she ran out in front of her car.  It took no coaxing at all to get her into the car and she was taken to the shelter to be scanned for a chip. The owner was located but stated Annie was old and he didn't want her anymore. The volunteer refused to leave her at the shelter (who could blame her!) and offered to foster her if we would find her the forever home she deserves. Manners and training: Annie is potty, and crate trained, but she will have an accident in the house if not let out often.  She's older and just can't hold it like she used to. She is not destructive in the house and can be left out of the crate if someone prefers. She will also wear diapers without an issue. When her foster mom goes out she just naps on the couch or on the memory foam dog bed. She walks well on a leash but does need help getting in and out of the car. Vetting: All our dogs are brought up to date on rabies, Bordetella, and combo, negative for intestinal parasites and heartworms, neutered and microchipped before adoption. Annie does have arthritis so steroid injections now and then help keep her pep in her step and reduce any pain. She has a couple of lumps and bumps but they have all been biopsied and found to be benign. ##1810664##
