HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- Loves being outdoors, going on walks, and smelling all the smells; will also keep your yard squirrel-free - Loves sleeping in bed with his family at night and is a quiet bed guest - Mostly potty-trained in his foster home but will need some help from his new family to get to 100% - Well-mannered in the house, and has done pretty well free-roaming at home when his foster family is gone - May be more comfortable with women than men - Has done well with calm, polite children, but young, noisy, active ones are too much for him (mature home recommended) - Has done well with the resident dogs in his foster home and may enjoy a dog friend in his new home - Has done well with cats who sit and ignore him, but will chase cats if they run; may do best in a home with no cats or with a very confident, dog-savvy catThe ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 35 Age: 3yrs 1mths 3wks
