Little Zoe was posted on the Des Moines reddit as a surrender by a person in a bad situation. We took her in one week ago and are helping her find her forever home. She is currently 6 months old (born April 2026) and around 25 lbs. She has done very well in the house, learning to walk on a leash well, knows "sit", "down", and "come", and is housebroken. She is a very sweet and playful dog, was shy at first but opened up right away once we got home. She is up to date on shots (we have papers from owner) but not yet spayed. We are working on crate training. According to the owner, she is good with other dogs, and we haven't seen any signs of aggression while taking her out on walks. She has been good with our two cats at home, but wants to play with them more than they want to interact with her. According to the owner, she grew up with 3 cats. We don't have kids and can't speak to that, but given her age and disposition suspect she would be a great family dog.
