Story
Bella is a very affectionate and loving girl. She loves her humans and enjoys cuddle time. She is great with young kids. Bella is house trained and enjoys eating in her kennel. We are so sad to rehome her but have had a home / schedule change that does not allow us the time she deserves. Looking for a loving person /family to adopt her as soon as possible so we do not have to put her in a shelter. Bella does occasionally pull on her leash during walks, however, will walk nicely when walked regularly. She gets along great with other dogs.

Story
Savi is a great dog, she is 7 years old now. She is house trained and does well being alone without tearing anything up in the house. She plays fetch and will sit on your lap when you hang around the house. She is a little happy when you leave but she calms down soon after. Also, she tends to jump up on new people cause she is so excited, but that goes away quickly. She has been a great dog to our family and we are looking for another home for her than can take good care of her and give her the attention and love she deserves. We want to re home her because our lives are very busy with two kids and can’t always walk or play fetch as much as she wants and she deserves better. Feel free to ask any questions you want about her. Adoption fee can be waived if provided proper verification of new housing and proper intentions for the dog.

Story
Adventures with Pooh Bear! One of the City of Raytown Animal Control Officers needed expert help and Pooh Bear offered to ride along! They started with a pup cup, which Pooh loved! Then they went on a tour of all of the detours around the city! Pooh enjoyed the warm breeze, sunshine, and extra pets! She is such a good girl, is very calm in the vehicle, and loves to observe new things and be petted at stoplights. Pooh Bear is available for foster or adoption. She is a pretty golden color cattle dog/lab mix and is under a year old. She's learning that she doesn't need to worry about food running out; Pooh Bear was emaciated when she came to us after being found tied to a dumpster. Thanks to the loving care she's receiving at Laurel Pet Resort, she has already gained weight, her fur is soft and shiny and she is learning to take treats gently. Pooh Bear does well with other dogs and children, walks nicely on a leash, and loves attention and cuddles. If you want to meet this amazing girl please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387. Pooh Bear's in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home.

Story
For six years, Kona has waited. Five of those in shelters, watching as others found their forever homes while she stayed behind. Fourteen months in a foster home, loved but still waiting. Waiting for someone to finally say “She’s the one. She belongs with me.” Most don’t know the pain she’s endured. She was saved from a kill shelter by a small rescue, but instead of safety, she found suffering. She didn’t get along with the other dogs there, and instead of kindness, she was met with cruelty. The woman in charge would take a cigarette lighter to her skin whenever she acted out. Imagine the fear, the confusion, the loneliness she must have felt. We immediately brought her into our care, promised her she would never know pain again, and have loved her ever since. Kona is sweet, snuggly, and silly. She loves stuffies, squeaky toys, and the simple joy of curling up next to you on the couch. She doesn’t beg at the table, doesn’t bark for no reason, and is completely housebroken. She loves all people—kids, too—and has the best little zoomies that will make you smile even on the hardest days. She takes daily medication for a history of seizures, but she’s been seizure-free for nearly a year now. What she needs is a home where she is the only pet—a place where she can finally feel safe, secure, and loved beyond measure. Right now, Kona spends most of her days alone. Her foster family adores her, but with their changing schedules, she’s left waiting yet again. And hasn’t she waited long enough? Six years. That’s how long she’s been overlooked. She doesn’t have endless years ahead of her. But she does have today, and tomorrow, and however many days she’s blessed with left to give someone her whole heart. And isn’t that worth something? Kona needs a hero. She needs you. Please, don’t let her spend another day waiting - give Kona the home she has always deserved. In an exciting update, Kona is the 2025 International Pooch Playoffs Champion. She placed 2nd out of 32 dogs in Regionals and won Internationals over 32 dogs and one cat! Rosie Fund is providing her adopters with a Rosie Life Starter Kit, which covers 2+ months of her medications. PLUS Bigfoot Pet Photography has added a $350 photo artwork voucher! Meet Eclipse! This sweet girl came to us from a rural shelter in Oklahoma where she was dumped after being attacked by her owners other dogs. Since coming to us she has shown that while she is still working on her trust in dogs, she is always elated to be around all humans. She loves being held, getting cuddles, and zooming around the yard with her toys!

Story
Meet Atticus! This sweet boy won the “Favorite” award from all staff and volunteers that have met him. He is wonderful with all dogs and people. He is a smaller boy with a funny stumpy tail who tap taps all over the place! When he gets really excited, his whole little body starts to wiggle. He especially loves but scratches and will dance while you give them. Atticus is truly a perfect boy. Atticus would likely prefer a home without cats hard toys and bones only, as he is a toy fiend and will go absolutely nuts over soft toys!!
