Story
You know what’s better than spaghetti and meatballs? Just Meatball. 🖤🐾 At around 8-9 years old and 63 pounds, this handsome Black Lab mix is a pro at taking it easy. Meatball is the definition of comfort food in dog form – happy to spend his day lounging, soaking up head rubs, and keeping you company while you tackle important tasks... like deciding what to watch on the tube. 📺 House-trained, crate-trained, and even skilled at using a doggy door, Meatball is an easygoing guy who appreciates the simple things in life. He enjoys short walks (pulls a bit on the leash but is comfortable with one), chewing on a good bone, and hanging out with his favorite humans. If car rides are involved, he'd prefer a seat right next to you, thank you very much. 🚗🖤 At bedtime, Meatball isn't picky. Whether he's on the bed or curled up on the floor beside you, he's happiest ending the day close to the people he loves. Meatball gets along well with other dogs and would do just fine with another dog sibling or as your one-and-only sidekick. Kids and cats are both unknown at this time, though he can be cat tested if needed. He is currently preparing for surgery to address damage caused by untreated ear infections from before he was rescued. The scar tissue has affected his hearing, making it a little more challenging to learn basic commands. The hope is that after surgery, he'll be better equipped to continue building those skills. In the meantime, Meatball is doing his absolute best, and his foster describes him as one of the sweetest and easiest dogs ever. Meatball seems to understand just how special a safe home can be. Despite everything he's been through, he's incredibly loving, endlessly cuddly, and simply grateful to be part of a family. If you're looking for a low-key companion who's happiest by your side, Meatball might just be your perfect recipe. 🍝🖤 Ready for Meatball to roll right into your life? His adoption fee is $175 and includes his neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. 🐕Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕

Story
Aside from their wonderful temperament, there are so many other reasons to adopt a Black Labrador Retriever, and here are the top five... 5. They are easy to find in a snowstorm 4. Black and white photography is so much fun 3. You never know if they have been rolling in mud 2. Makes a game of hide and seek in the dark, oh so challenging! And the number 1 reason to adopt a Black Labrador Retriever *drum roll* 1. With their stunning, shiny black coat, they go with everything! But seriously, Callaway is true to her breed. She loves everyone. When she meets you, it will feel like you are the most loved person on earth. After all the loves and kisses, she settles down nicely with a bone or to nibble on a stuffed toy. She is a young gal, around 1 year old, and weighs 45 pounds. We believe Callaway is a mix of another breed but retains all the wonderful, fun qualities of the beloved lab. Miss Callaway is house-trained and crate-trained. She loves nothing more than to sack out on the couch after some playtime. Hiking or walking on trails is her dream pastime. So much wildlife and nature to sniff. Hold on tight to that leash; if she sees a squirrel, she understands a lab’s assignment to catch and retrieve. Got a pond, creek, or pool she can swim in? Those webbed feet aren’t just for looks; they have a very specific purpose! Callaway would love an active home with plenty of opportunities to sniff, play, and be the young pup she is. Her story had a “phew!” beginning. She was very pregnant and found herself on the euthanasia list. Minutes before her time, we said NOT TODAY and grabbed her. Shortly after, she gave birth to seven beautiful little babies. Now that her babies are finding their forever homes, she is ready to start looking for one of her own. She has been around dogs and seems fine with them. Callaway will come home spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $175. Find your way to PawsitiveTailsKC.org to fill out an application. Once approved, you will be contacted to schedule a meet-and-greet. Oh, yeah, we forgot one more thing from the list… She will love you forever, and you will wonder how you ever lived without her. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
Come join the SUNSHINE Gang with Reba Rose Sunshine!!! ☀️ This girl is a 1.5 year old Lab/Boxer mix, with a fun-loving personality! She weighs 48 pounds and is full of happy energy, but without being overwhelming. Reba, Reba Rose, Ms. Sunshine…it doesn’t matter what nick name you come up with for her. She’s going to happily greet you, your kids, your dogs, your neighbors, your neighbors’ kids, and your neighbors’ dogs as if they’re all just part of her SUNSHINE gang!☀️ She loves to play with other dogs and her toys. She’s pretty much always up for some type of game, play time, or even just hanging out at home. Her most charming trait is that she plays like a baby deer. Don’t believe us? Just wait and see! Reba Rose Sunshine is both potty trained and crate trained; and happily sleeps in her crate at night without issue. She’s learning basic commands like “sit” and “kennel” and walks pretty well on a leash, although she’s still working on mastering her strutting skills completely. Although she’s mostly out of her puppy phase, Reba Rose Sunshine would love a home where she gets consistency and structure, that way she’s able to continue building her good habits! She would also thrive in an environment where her family is active and engaged with her since she loves the people in her SUNSHINE gang! ☀️ Reba Rose Sunshine is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Her adoption fee is $175. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org.
