Story
Ralse is a loving 6-year-old, 75-pound dog adopted from a shelter in Kansas City, Kansas. He appears black but has gray and white in his coat, with soft brown eyes and a gentle, people-loving personality. He is house-trained and generally well-behaved, with only minor habits like getting into wrappers or paper. He gets along with other dogs but has a strong prey drive and cannot live with cats. Ralse is strong on leash and will pull when he sees dogs or squirrels, so he needs someone comfortable with a larger dog or willing to continue training. He can jump a 4-foot fence, so a secure yard or supervision is important. This is a very difficult decision, but I can no longer give him the care he deserves. I’m seeking a loving, responsible home where he can thrive.

Story
This gorgeous girl is June Bug, our friend from The Rescue Project. She's a lab mix and about three years old. But more importantly, she's a happy girl is so much fun! June Bug isn't just pretty. She has the smarts, too! She's very willing to work for people she likes (and food, she's willing to work for food). June Bug particularly enjoys showing people that she knows shake with both paws, as she's perfected that skill, and knows she'll get ... food! She likes learning new things, so go ahead and teach her all the fun stuff to help keep her mind busy. June Bug can be cautious around new people and things, but give her a chance and show her you're one of the kind, good humans. She'll love you to the moon and back and show you her snuggly, goofy side. She is worth your time, we promise. June Bug is looking for an adult-only home with a fenced yard, as kids can be loud and scary and apartments aren't going to work for her. She needs to be the only pet in her new home. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information. June Bug is staying in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #JuneBug #LabMix #DogTraining #DogLovers #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #KCmetro #DogRescue

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Renee (renees@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.  Millie was found as a stray in rural Missouri so we know very little about her past. Her coat was completely matted with twigs and even some barbed wire, poor girl. We speculate that she was dumped by a breeder. Her beautiful coat is growing back nicely. At this time, she is adjusting to the city sights and sounds in a patient and loving foster home. Everything in the house is new to her, stairs, television, laughter, big voices, clanging of kitchen tools and pans, etc. When she is startled she either freezes or walks away. Millie is trusting of the adults she knows, curious about those she doesn't and warms up quite well. She enjoys being petted on the head and freezes when she's unsure of how you will touch her. Millie enjoys her neighborhood walks and is interested in dogs that look like her, Doodles, that are also out walking. Millie is a home body, it's where she feels the safest. She enjoys being with her humans, hanging out in the kitchen for meal prep, car rides (you have to convince her it will be a fun ride), walks, is house and crate trained.  She is a gentle, quiet and sweet girl looking for a quiet home with adults that want to include her in calm activities.   Approximate Birthdate: May 2019 Adoption Fee: $250 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Story
Rocky is a gentle soul who starts his morning with some stretches, downward dog yoga poses, and meditation (aka naps in the sun). He's a big chap at about 80 pounds, but don't worry, at just about five years old, Rocky won't be growing more! We recently learned that Rocky loooooooves to swim! Like, really loves it and could possibly be a water sports dog, too. He dives for the ball and really commits by putting his head and body under the water! This pooch has heart *and* skills, we're happy to report. He's also super cute -- bonus! You couldn't ask for a better pooch than this guy. He's intelligent, affectionate, loving, house-trained, and doesn’t chew on anything (except for toys and Benebone wishbones). Do you have a dog in need of a canine companion? Fantastic! Rocky adores the dogs in his foster home. He carefully picks out toys to share with them, and then they enjoy a good game of chase in the yard. He would also do great as the only pooch in his home if he gets plenty of attention from the humans. Rocky is not so much a cat guy, though. Rocky already knows sit, stay, come, touch, and shake. He loves earning treats by doing these tricks and could be easily trained to learn even more. Rocky takes treats so, so gently from your hand, too. (He's such a good boy!) Some of Rocky's favorite things are getting pets, riding in the car, being outdoors, playing with toys, and going on walks. While Rocky loves cuddling in bed with his humans, he patiently waits to be invited up, because he's polite like that. What Rocky would love to do most of all, though, is find his forever home. Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you're The One. If not, please share Rocky's information with everyone you know so you can visit Rocky at their house when he gets adopted. #thepetconnection
