Story
She was born Feb 2023. I am her Grandmother and my daughter is going back to school out of state. When she adopted her when she was 2 months old she was told she would be a small to medium size Labradoodle. But she is definitely not close to being medium she is larger even at 10 months. She needs a pet parent(s) that will continue to spoil her, that does not have allergies as we do and is able to spend a lot of time with her she loves attention and companionship. She is absolutely beautiful, smart, loving and full of playful energy!!! She knows basic commands, crate trained, potty trained to use a bell at the door, enjoys exercising such as running laps in the backyard and going on trail walks. She is very playful and full of energy. Note: She needs a regular spa day/grooming routine with a groomer trained to groom labradoodles. Also a parent that will need to brush her every day to maintain her healthy and gorgeous coat between her hair appointments.

Story
We took Kami in from a family who had run out of options to care for her several months ago. We had hoped to make it work in our home, but we don’t have a fenced yard, and we are out a lot with our kids schedules and haven’t been able to give her the activity she deserves. She has been very patient with our kids, especially our grabby 1 year old. She is house trained and loves to snuggle, but is a little shy with new people or dogs.

Story
A short essay on the benefits of adopting me, a dog named Beau. . . Boy howdy, I'm a looker! My stunning physique will make YOU the talk of the town! My nubbin' of a tail has its own independent charms, to be sure, wagging furiously every single time I see your face. But I'm not just pretty, I'm also a deep thinker (see picture for me looking thoughtful) and very smart. For example, I already know how to "sit," "lay down," and "stay." Heck, I'm even housetrained. I also reserve my barks to notify you when you should know someone is outside--smart, eh? I would be a wonderful companion to your dog! I lived with a tiny squirt of a canine, but I think I could be friends with most any other dog. We'd just need to interview each other to make sure we'd be cool as roomies. I'm not real picky about keeping the kitchen clean or anything, but one thing I value in a dog is the ability to play chase. Bonus points if a dog can play chase with a toy in his mouth and accept that I like to vocalize while we run. While I'm still a young guy, only about a year old, I already know how to chill when I'm inside the house. Give me a Nylabone and I will happily lay at your feet for hours. I appreciate sleeping in, too, so no need to get up early on my account. Perhaps my most endearing trait is my love for my people. Cuddles, kisses, ear scratches, pets, and just plain ol' being near you are my favorite activities. Did I do a good job? Do you think we might be buddies? Yes? Pick up that phone and call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 and ask about me, Beau! I'm in the Kansas City metro, but I love going for rides in the car (I call shotgun!) and my friends say they'll drive me to the right home. So go ahead and ask about me! #thepetconnection

Story
Bear is a big, lazy puppy who loves his walks, playing with other dogs, snuggling, and sun bathing outside. Once he warms up to someone, he loves to cuddle up while he takes one of his many naps throughout the day. Bear had a rough past, so he's still learning how to dog. He loves other dogs and mimicked them in his previous home. They were his best friends and safety blankets. Bear will need to be in a home with a canine companion. He will also need a quiet home, without a lot of commotion or visitors. Loud noises and lots of movement frighten him. He's slow to warm up to strangers and needs a home with people who will give him time and space and proper introductions. Bear's owners are rehoming him because they have a new baby, which means lots of noise (oh, the crying!) and so much commotion and so many visitors. This is all very stressful for Bear. Bear is an extremely sweet dog who just needs a little emotional support and patience. He's a smart guy and would benefit from continued training. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on this fabulous pooch. He's in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection

Story
This sweet girl is Junie!!! Junie is great in the car, on a leash, and in the home! She would prefer if you had a feline-free home, and if she were the only one who could steal your spot on the couch. Playing fetch is her favorite past-time, especially when followed by a nap where she can cuddle up next to you. Come in and meet Junie today!!! She is around 2 years old and 50 pounds. Her adoption fee has been sponsored, so there is no fee required to take her home, just a donation if you are so compelled. Midwest Animal ResQ offers a 30-day adjustment period within which you can evaluate the pet's progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 30 days, you determine your recently adopted pet isn't a good fit, you may return the animal and receive a MARQ credit that can be used toward the adoption of another animal. Our biggest priority is finding the very best match for you, and Completing Families one Tail at a Time! All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested, and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays.
