Story
This tall, chocolate Lab mix is as handsome as he is tennis-ball obsessed! Zeus is a true ball FUNATIC—and we mean it. Say the magic words, “You ready?” and watch his whole face light up. He’ll drop the ball right at your feet, tail wagging, waiting for the next throw… and the one after that… and the one after that. If you pause too long, those big, soulful eyes will melt your resolve until you give in. (Trust us—you always will.)But Zeus isn’t just about fetch. Beneath his athletic side is a big, sensitive sweetheart who loves nothing more than to curl up and snuggle like he’s a 10-pound lapdog. He’s proof that even big dogs can be softies at heart. 💕Zeus has lived peacefully with cats before, so he may be open to some feline friends in his next home. He’s still pending a dog-to-dog test, so stay tuned for updates on how he does with canine companions!Zeus has been deemed Potentially Dangerous in Maryland due to repeated incidents of running loose, barking, and behaving aggressively toward other people and dogs. This is not the same as being deemed dangerous—it simply means he’ll need a responsible adopter committed to keeping him safely managed. For more details, our staff will be happy to explain what this means. If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate, tennis-ball-toting best friend who will fill your life (and your yard) with love and laughter, Zeus might just be your perfect match. 🎾🐾Zeus's adoption fee is $50, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoptionPlease note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive!
