Story
Bailee Beasty is in need of a new home. She is a Labradoodle and will be 1yr old April 26. She's been spayed and chipped. She's also about 45 to 50lbs now and current on her shots. She's a sweetheart even in her rambunctiousness and smart. She knows when I ask her if she wants water and goes right to her water bowl. She is strong and pulls me when I take her outside because she has so much energy and I'm short lol. She loves people, loves to jump on them, and to give doggy kisses. She knows how to sit, down, and do puppy push ups. She is crate trained and acts like she's never fed lol. She loves treats but Beggin strips and the rawhide chews gives her the runs. Ask me how I know. You should have a fenced in yard and she needs the room to run. Did I mention she has a lot of energy. She loves to try to play with the neighbors Bichon but he's so small and older lol. Unfortunately my 6yr old grandson is afraid of her. This was unbeknownst to me when adopting her.

Spaghetti and his sister, Babe Noodle, found themselves at an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. The shelter is no place a puppy should ever end up in, fortunately they have been rescued by K-9 Lifesavers. Spaghetti has landed a nice foster home, but what he wants more than anything is to find his forever family. Could that be with you? Spaghetti is a sweet and playful puppy. He has not met a person or dog that he doesn't love. At Spaghetti's young age, he is in his prime for training and socialization too. Adopting him would mean gaining a loyal companion. He's waiting to shower his lucky family with plenty of wet nose kisses and butt wiggles. Submit an application today and change this sweet boy's life forever!  Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org.Sponsor Me! Story
Hi there! I’m Edith, a 10-month-old (as of March 2025) labradoodle with a light brown/cream-ish coat that makes me look like I’ve been dipped in sunshine. Right now, I weigh about 35 lbs. (and growing!!)  Now, about my name… you might be wondering why a puppy like me has such a classic name. Edith feels just right—it has some sass, a little class, and it definitely makes me sound very refined. I am a lady, after all!  I’m still figuring out this whole "new environment" thing, but I'm trying to catch on as quickly as I can. It's kind of scary to arrive to new places so I'm just trying to get to know people and my surrounding. Sadly, I was adopted by someone but she returned me after a very short while. She said I barked too much. I'm a dog...that's kinda what we do!  The thing is, I’m a sensitive soul still learning to feel safe in the world. I need patience and understanding as I adjust to new surroundings. I may take time to warm up to new people and places. Loud noises and unfamiliar situations make me nervous, and I express myself vocally when I feel uncertain. I’m still working on my potty habits, but with consistency and love, I’ll get there! I’m looking for a compassionate home that will help me build confidence at my own pace. So, if you’re willing to give me a chance, I promise I will learn to trust and accept all your love, and will show you all my gratitude by giving you hugs and kisses! ##2338687##

Story
Ember is a very energetic and fun medium sized pup (55lbs). She's young (1-2yrs) and vibrant and looking for a home where she can participate in family activities like hikes and walks and Netflix nights. She's as good of a snuggler as she is a jogging companion. Her fur is soft and fluffy and she is lower shedding but we CANNOT guarantee hypoallergenic. She is strong and requires a fit owner who can handle a large and active pup. She did have some matting that resulted in dry skin (hence the shaved spot) that was exmained by a vet who performed a skin scraping to ensure there was no mange or underlying condition (test results were negative). She should be kept on a high quality kibble with fish oil supplements. Ember is located in Houston TX and can be picked up there or we can discuss transport options. Her fee is $850. Meet and greets are done via video chat after an approved application has been submitted. Complete an application for her at recycleddogsrescue.org if interested!

Story
Luna, who also goes by Looney, Looney Balooney, Looney Patooney, or Lunar Lander, is one of the cutest, sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She loves her people and wants to cuddle and stay close to them all day. When you leave the house, she gets a little sad, but as soon as you come back, she’s so excited—she’ll run to you with a toy in her mouth and her tail wagging like crazy. Luna also loves long walks and sniffing everything she can. She does best with about an hour of exercise each day. She’s super expressive—her face and ears show how she’s feeling. She tilts her head when she hears her favorite words, and her ears move in all kinds of ways depending on her mood. Her favorite words are “outside” and “treat,” and her favorite sentence is, “Do you want to go outside?”

Story
Hello, My name is DuoDuo, my family named me in hope that I would bring good fortune and well wishes. I was orignally founded by a shelter at a few weeks old baby. My family adopted me when I was 14 weeks old and I have been with them since. I am five and will be six on the Fourth of July. I am a relatively high energy canine and love to go for hikes. I normally walk well on a leash but do sometimes get overexcited. I am very friendly and love attention, the more the better. As long as you are friendly, I will be friendly. I am also an alpha dog, so you have my protection. I am a well-mannered canine. I know to sit, but don't fully understand stay and lay down. I understand no, but will try for a compromise. I know to ask for help and to go out for the bathroom. I normally don't steal food but if its smells good, I do jump very high. I hope to go to a home that has space and can take me for an adventure weekly. A home that can give me the attention and love i need.

Story
Breed(s): Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Mix Age: 3 years Weight: 65 pounds Vetting Status: Neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm negative & maintained on preventatives. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Looking for a dog that is all about YOU? A best friend, a loyal companion? Trevor may just be your guy! This handsome, eager to please fella was found as a stray, completely emaciated. He gained over 25 pounds and looks like a completely different dog! Trevor is crate trained, but much prefers having less restrictions and more freedom. His house manners have been stellar in his foster home -- no accidents or incidents. Trevor loves people, a love bug that wants to be the center of someone's world! Hanging out and being in your presence & playing with his K-9 companions fulfills his days. Stuffed Kongs are certainly on the favorites list too. This sweet boy is a highly intelligent and rapidly picked up on learning an array of commands to include sit, lay, paw, kennel, down and no. Trevor also enjoys going for a car ride & will gladly offer to ride shot gun on all your important trips... petstore, mcd's, bank with a drive thru giving out cookies, etc. Trevor has been exposed to a vast array of other dogs, both big & small. He would love to have K-9 companions, but surely would not argue with being a SHD (single hound dog) & the center of attention. Cats seem super fun to chase (eek!) and would NOT be recommended. If you think Trevor may be the pup for you, please visit the link below to fill out an application. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TREVOR is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!
