Ryder is a 4-month-old, 20-pound F1 Labradoodle mix with the softest curly coat and the biggest, goofiest puppy smile you've ever seen! Ryder and his five brothers and sisters were rescued from a not-so-good shelter in South Texas. Thankfully, all six of them are now safe, healthy, and ready to find their forever families. This super social, happy, and loving boy absolutely lives for people time. After not getting nearly enough cuddles and attention in his short life, he's making up for it big time! He'll happily follow you around the house, crawl into your lap (even when he gets bigger), and give you endless kisses. Ryder does wonderfully with other dogs too, and he would love having a furry sibling to play and grow up with. Ryder is still very much a blank slate when it comes to training. He hasn't had much structure yet, so he'll need a patient family willing to teach him the basics: potty training, crate training, leash walking, and manners. The good news? He's a smart cookie! With consistency, positive reinforcement, treats, and lots of love, he's going to learn fast and become a wonderful, well-mannered companion. Ryder will thrive best with an active, patient, and caring family who's ready for all the fun (and occasional chaos) that comes with raising a young doodle. He needs daily playtime, mental stimulation, continued training, and most of all, to feel safe and loved every single day. Ryder has already overcome a rough start, and now he's bursting with potential. All he needs is his people to show him what a good life feels like. If you've been dreaming of a curly-haired cutie with puppy-dog eyes and a whole lot of love to give, Connor would like a word! This handsome boy is a 4-month-old, 20-pound F1 Labradoodle mix with a big heart, oversized puppy paws, and a serious appreciation for human attention. Connor and his five siblings found themselves in a not-so-great shelter in South Texas. Thankfully, we stepped in to give all six puppies a second chance, and now Connor is ready to find the family he was always meant to have! This boy is happy, social, and absolutely crazy about people. After getting less attention than a puppy deserves during his short life, he's making up for lost time! If you're sitting down, expect company. If you're giving out belly rubs, expect a line of one. And if you're looking for a loyal little shadow, Connor is happy to apply for the position! He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs, so a canine sibling would be a welcome bonus. Of course, he'd be perfectly happy soaking up all the love in a home of his own, too. Now, let's talk about the Doodle in the room: Connor is still a puppy! He's a smart little guy, but he's starting with a pretty blank training slate. Meet Cofi, I am a big, energetic, playful guy who has absolutely NO concept of personal space. 😅 If you sit down, I’m probably going to assume your lap is available—and yes, I will fit. At least in my mind. 😂 I love chasing balls, playing hard, and being right in the middle of whatever you’re doing. Leaving me to my own devices—or should we say vices—is probably not recommended. I’ve been known to do a little counter surfing when the opportunity presents itself. Hey, you shouldn’t leave good snacks unattended! 😁 I can be selective about my dog friends. We picked up Summer from a breeder in Pennsylvania. She is about to turn 7 years old. We picked up her brother Ocho from the same breeder (same parents) 1 year later, so he is about to turn 6 years old. I’m looking for a home for these dogs where they can get a lot of attention. They love to play with each other, follow their owner around, and go for walks together. They are snuggly and playful and good with kids.

They would likely LOVE a canine friend again in their new home. 🌱 Needs a Patient Guide: Because she wasn't socialized much to the outside world, walks and new places can feel pretty overwhelming to her right now. She currently does not know how to walk on leash at all and is going to need lots of patience, treats, and reassurance! 🛡️ Confidence Building: She needs an understanding adopter who will take things slow and help her feel safe as she learns the world isn't so scary. 🫈 This guy is going to be big and is seeking an adopter who can manage everything that comes with an active, adolescent, large pup! Meet Fuzzball! Fuzzball is a beautiful black lab mix with a gorgeous coat, soulful eyes, and an incredibly shy personality. Fuzzball is very nervous in this noisy environment, but if someone is able to give her space as she decompresses and allow her to set the pace and learn she is safe, she will be able to build trust and blossom in a new home, and will bond closely with her person. Fuzzball has been shut down and did not show great interest in other dogs initially, but she is curious when other dogs are nearby so she may be interested in spending time with a mellow, well-socialized dog who is able to give space when requested. If you have a dog you believe would be a good fit please bring the dog for a meet. She may be content as an only dog, but she cannot live with a cat or small animals. Because Fuzzball is shy and wary of hand movement, she will need an owner who is patient and experienced with positive reinforcement, or willingness to learn, so she can create happy associations to her new home and to the scary world. Once she begins decompressing in a home she will be able to learn that toys are fun, and her playful side will have an opportunity to come alive as trust builds. Because she is shy and finding her way, she is not a good candidate for living with children (adult only home), and would not thrive in a chaotic environment. Despite being nervous, she gravitates to trusted people for comfort, but this will take time. As she learns she can relax and enjoy the good life, she'll benefit from regular exercise combined with lots of mental enrichment such as food puzzles, snuffle mats, sniffing outings, and learning a few new tricks to fully meet her mental & physical needs, and prevent boredom. Mental enrichment also helps dogs feel less anxious. Dogs who are nervous are often not able to tolerate confinement such as a crate without a lot of preparation and learning the crate is a safe space, but some dogs never do well in a crate. Having a relationhip with a regular vet will help keep Fuzzball healthy. To meet sweet Fuzzball, please come to the shelter on Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri from 12N-3:30 pm, or Saturdays by appointment.
