Story
🐾 ADOPTABLE: Jack the Labradoodle 🐾 Meet Jack, a 3-year-old Labradoodle with brains, bounce, and a whole lot of love to give! 💛 This sweet boy has been professionally evaluated by our trainer and is ready to find a home where he can thrive. 🎾 Jack's Quick Stats: ✔️ Smart, eager to please, and quick to pick up routines ✔️ Energetic and playful outdoors, but relaxed and calm indoors ✔️ Loves people — he wants to be near you, but happily snoozes in his own bed ✔️ Great with other dogs who enjoy a little playtime chaos ✔️ Would do best with an active individual or family (especially one with kids!) While Jack’s done surprisingly well in a small living space, he’d love a home with a yard to zoom around in. He’s still working on some boundary setting (typical doodle energy!), but his temperament is sweet and affectionate — he just wants to be your best buddy. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Nova is a 6-year-old, 50 lb dog who’s sweet, affectionate, and loves being around people. She’s quick to offer her paw and gently grab your hand when she wants attention. We’re rehoming her because we’re all moving soon, and none of our new places allow pets. With our busy schedules, Nova needs a home where she can get consistent companionship and care. Nova’s Highlights: • Friendly and loving • Gentle and sweet-natured • Medium energy, enjoys playtime and cuddles • House trained • Knows how to shake paw Nova would do best in a home where someone is around often and ready to give her lots of love. Story
Meet Cheerio – your pint-sized poodle pal with the bounce of a puppy and the teeth of a dog who just left the doggy dentist. 🦷✨ At an estimated 9 years young, Cheerio clearly missed the memo about slowing down. He’s 17 pounds of pure poodle pep—zooming around like he’s training for the senior Olympics. Don't let the age fool you—this guy’s got the energy of a wind-up toy with fresh batteries. Let’s talk highlights: 🐶 Great with other dogs – a social butterfly in a curly coat 🏠 Crate champ – happily settles in like it’s his personal spa ✂️ Grooming pro – he got a fresh shave and strutted like it was Fashion Week 🐾 Vet visits? Eh… hit or miss. Some days he’s a model patient, some days he’s like “hard pass, thanks.” 🎾 Playful and energetic – ready to chase toys, tails, or your heart ❤️ Loves attention – if you're sitting down, he's probably already in your lap Cheerio just got his dental work done, so his pearly whites are in tip-top shape and he's officially ready for his forever home! He’s got the spirit of a puppy, the heart of a cuddle bug, and the coat of a mini poodle who knows he looks good. Adopt Cheerio – because life’s better with a little fluff, a lot of love, and a dog who’s always ready for playtime. 🐩💫 If you are interested in finding out more about Cheerio, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Cheerio is in Millbury, MA. His adoption fee is $350. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
