Meet Mr. Laid Back! Preacher is the king of snuggles and has perfected his couch potato act! This 3 year old boy has been overlooked for too long and we are on an active campaign to get him in his forever home where he can have his very own family to tell him everyday how perfect he is. Preacher's foster mom has know him for quite some time as she volunteers at the shelter he lived at, he has always been one of her favorites. When cold hit and outdoor pups needed to be in she took him home to live with her dogs.... and he stayed as a foster! She says "he is a big puddle of love and so warm and squishy, he's the best snuggler. He is an overall lower energy dog. He gallops to fetch the ball then lays down next to me with it when he comes back. He is good with dogs big and small, and seems uninterested in cats. He is currently on journey of learning about the world since his experiences were limited in the shelter." Preacher is about 90lbs and admittedly needs to drop a few pounds. He is house and crate trained, neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vetting. Meet Luna! This sweet girl was surrendered to us when her owner could no longer care for her. She is a older girl but she still has quite a bit of energy. She likes to bebop around the yard and play with toys. She is also affiliative and affectionate once she gets to know you. She has spent most of her life in a home and she is hoping she can get back into a new home soon! It is unknown how she would be around other animals or kids, but she may be ok after a meet and greet here at the shelter. Luna would most likely be a lower key dog once she settles into her new home. She would be a dog that would enjoy a nice long walk and then some snuggling on the couch with you. Tatum is a 3 year old lab mix. He would love to be in a home where his people have time to spend playing with him, training him and going for walks. He is a smart dog with lots of potential for someone who has the time to work with him. He is up to date on all vaccines and his records will be provided. He loves playing with dog toys, especially a soccer ball. He is very good in the house, does not climb on furniture and is not destructive. He gets along well with the cats in our home. He’s been through a board and train program which helped him learn better manners including leash walking as well as the “place” command. DNA testing done on Tatum showed him to be 42% Labrador Retriever, 27% Akita, 8% Australian Shepherd, 8% Beagle, 6% Boxer, 5% American Staffordshire Terrier and 4% Bohemian Shepherd. He truly is a mixed breed!
