Story
Meet Raven – Your Loyal, Ball-Loving Sidekick 🎾 Raven is almost 2 years old and 100% ready to find her forever home—and her forever tennis ball. This sporty sweetheart is: • ✔️ Potty trained • ✔️ Great with other dogs • ✔️ Knows “Sit”, “Kennel”, and now "Down" like a champ • ✔️ Obsessed with tennis balls (like, truly... it’s a lifestyle) • ✔️ Loves going for rides in Foster dad's truck • ✔️ Highly food motivated and loves treats—that helps with training! She's got energy to burn but is doing well on a leash, improving with every walk—she's the kind of girl who wants to get it right and is eager to learn. Raven came from a home with a woman and kids, but she seems to prefer men. She warmed up to her foster dad almost immediately, but takes a little longer to trust women. No drama—just a girl with a few emotional layers. With her brains, heart, and snack-seeking superpowers, she’s been adjusting beautifully in foster care and is looking for a home that gets her: one with patience and plenty of playtime. If you’re looking for a loyal, sporty companion who will proudly carry tennis balls in her mouth like trophies and give her heart to the man of the house (and maybe the woman too, eventually), Raven is ready for her next adventure 🐾 If you are interested in finding out more about Raven, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Raven is currently in Millbury, MA. The adoption fee is $500. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Meet Loki Loki is searching for a quiet, stable home where he can feel safe and truly settle in. He may take a little time to warm up, but once he builds trust, Loki is incredibly loyal and turns into a total cuddle bug.Loki loves going on walks—and he’ll definitely remind you when it’s time to head out! He’s quite vocal about his routines. Even though he’s around 8 years old, Loki is still very strong on leash and remains an active, energetic boy. He especially loves going on hikes, enjoys playtime with tug-of-war being a favorite, and absolutely loves sunbathing outside during the summer.Loki’s ideal home:Adult-only householdNo other petsFully fenced yard (required)Low-traffic, calm environmentPatient adopters who understand that trust takes timeLoki thrives in peaceful settings and is best suited for someone who enjoys a relaxed home without frequent visitors or constant activity. When given the space to move at his own pace, he becomes a loving, devoted companion. If you’re willing to give Loki the time he needs, you’ll be rewarded with unwavering loyalty, plenty of cuddles, and a walking, hiking, sun-loving buddy who can’t wait to enjoy life by your side.

Story
**This is a courtesy posting for Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue. Please contact them directly! https://ygrr.org/profile/chief/ ** Weeooo Weeooo Weeeoooooo. This is the Chief – patching in on the radio with a public service announcement regarding finding my furever home. Spread the word far and wide, because even if you aren’t my furever home, you may connect with someone who is. We’ll start with the humans – I need humans that will meet me where I am. I’ve gone through a LOT of change in this last year of my life. Change that no old boy should have to go through. And before this, my life had been a bit difficult living with a child who did not respect my space, my boundaries, or my body. So, at this point in my life, I’d like to be child-free from here on out. I’m in retirement. The last thing I want to become is a babysitter again. I need humans that will be patient and understanding as it takes me some time to trust new people. I’ll enjoy meeting you, but trusting you takes time. I think that’s more than fair with all I’ve gone through and I think most people can connect to that need as well. It’s important for my humans to just let me have time to settle in, be simple. I don’t need fancy things, I just need understanding and patience. I would love an active home, because even though I may be considered a “senior”, I run and hike with the best of em! I would love to go to a home that plans to go on LOTS of walks. I also LOVE hikes in the woods where I can sniff stuff and perk up at the squirrels. I LOVE to swim and could swim all day if you wanted. I am also a master fetcher. I have some crazy agility skills when it comes to catching a ball faster than you blinking your eyes. I also need my down time. I enjoy napping in my crate or a dog bed, or under your feet at a desk. I sometimes dream about chasing tennis balls. There are humans here who I have become best friends with. They gave me the time and grace in the beginning to just let me be me. And I’ve appreciated that SO much that now, when they come to hang out with me, I have the zoomies and I rub my face all over their face! I’m a lover boy at heart, but I require time to gain that trust first. I LOVE a good car ride too. You want a dog that wants to ride around, then I’m your dude. This is when I may lose my loyalty, as I will jump in anyone’s car that wants to giver me a ride (sorry, not sorry). My biggest fear is not finding people that will accept me for me. Think about how that must feel? Like I’m never enough in some way because I need to be better or I need to change. I’m really a simple guy once you get to know me and let me be myself. I want a simple life, but I need people who want that for me too. Copy that? I’m sure the folks here at Yankee will tell you more if you want to talk to them about me. But for now, I’ll be signing off. Chief, over and out. **This is a courtesy posting for Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue. Please contact them directly! https://ygrr.org/profile/chief/ **
