Story
Meet Harley — a 9-year-old Black Lab mix with the chill energy of a seasoned couch connoisseur and the heart of a gentle soul. 🖤 Harley is basically the definition of “low drama, high reward.” Indoors, she’s calm, polite, and perfectly content to lounge by your side — or better yet, on the couch, which she absolutely adores. (Stairs and tall furniture can be tough on her achy joints, so she may need a little encouragement to hop up, and the bed might be a bit too ambitious for her.) Outside, she enjoys a slow wander, following you around the yard like your quiet little shadow, and she’s happy to join you for a walk when you’re ready. She’s crate-trained and house-mannered. Although Harley can live with other laid back pets, she will thrive being the only dog. She is perfectly fine with cats, and stays calm around horses as well. Once she warms up to you, she’ll be your loyal, steady companion everywhere you go — indoors or out. She does get a little anxious in new situations or when meeting new people, so a patient adopter who lets her go at her own pace will win her trust in no time. And once she feels safe? She’s all love and devotion. Harley is currently working on her “summer bod,” so she'll need a human committed to helping her shed a few pounds. She’d do best with kids 13+. At night, she’s made it very clear she prefers to snooze near her people — after all, why sleep alone when you could drift off beside your favorite humans? If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing companion who’s equal parts loyal friend and professional nap partner, Harley’s ready to curl up next to you and make herself right at home. 🐾💤 If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing companion who’s equal parts loyal friend and professional nap partner, Harley’s ready to curl up next to you and make herself right at home. 🐾💤 If you are interested in finding out more about Harley, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Harley is in Berlin, MA. The adoption fee is $400. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Raven — a 2-year-old, 60-pound Labrador Retriever who runs on joy, enthusiasm, and absolutely zero spatial awareness. 🐾😂 Raven is wonderful with her foster mom’s kids and has a heart as big as her personality. She is deeply, passionately, and unapologetically obsessed with toys. Stuffed, squeaky, bouncy — if it exists, Raven wants it in her mouth immediately. Now, a fair warning: Raven does not fully grasp that she is a medium-sized dog with actual mass. When she jumps onto the couch, she does so with the confidence of a puppy and the momentum of a bowling ball. She doesn’t guard her toys at all — she just grabs them enthusiastically, occasionally forgetting that human hands and legs are attached to the process. No malice, just pure Labrador enthusiasm. Because of her “full-contact play style,” Raven would be best with older kids who can laugh, dodge, and appreciate her lovable clumsiness. Raven is sweet, playful, and endlessly entertaining — the kind of dog who will make you laugh daily and keep life interesting. If you’re looking for a happy, toy-loving, slightly uncoordinated best friend who lives life at full speed, Raven is ready to cannonball straight into your heart (and possibly onto your couch). 🐶💥❤️ If you are interested in finding out more about Raven, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Raven is currently in Millbury, MA. The adoption fee is $500. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram!
