We’d like to introduce you to Chloe, a sweet doodle who is currently in our care and looking for a loving home. Chloe and another female doodle were found running down the street and were taken to the local shelter. Sadly, no one ever came looking for them. When they first arrived, both girls were in rough shape, with severely matted fur.  Since then, Chloe has been cleaned up and is starting to really blossom. We are still getting to know her, but so far she has been incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves attention and enjoys being close to people. She also seems to do well with other dogs and has been friendly with the humans she’s met. We do not yet know how she does with children, so any introductions should be done slowly and thoughtfully. We are also not certain if Chloe is fully housebroken, and we want potential adopters to be aware that she may need some patience, consistent training, and understanding as she adjusts to life in a new home. One thing we know for sure: Chloe is a gentle, loving dog who truly deserves a safe, caring, and stable home. She is up to date on her shots and is scheduled to be spayed soon. We will continue to update her information as we learn more about this beautiful girl. Crate Trained: No. He will not enter a crate willingly and gets anxious when led into one. His anxiety manifests in incessant barking when left alone, but if he's loose, he will pace, run from door to window, and scratch at the door. A crate will ensure he cannot harm himself. Good in the Car: Yes, he loves his car rides. Good on a Leash: Yes, but he can pull if he sees something he wants. Energy Level: High - he is a lab mix after all. Need a Fenced-in Yard: Yes. Dog Friendly: Slow intros required. Blue isn't the kind of dog that likes it when another dog comes on too strong. He prefers a slow and steady build-up to friendship. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive home? No, he does not need another dog. I think he is a one-dog-per-home kind of dude. Cat Friendly: No. Kid Friendly: Yes, with proper, slow introductions. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Blue will do best with kids 10 years and older or children dog-savvy enough to give him his space and not get too hyper with him. Traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Like most labs, Blue is a pure Velcro dog and is always down for the 24/7 cuddling. He needs to be by your side and likely will not run away if he somehow manages to get loose, though he IS a lab, so…better leashed than lost. He loves to play catch in the yard, or otherwise do anything engaging that requires the presence of his people. Blue really, really loves his people. While some may have inherited dad’s looks, personality-wise these puppies are all Pointer! Currently growing up in foster care, these babies have been raised alongside kids, dogs and cats, giving them lots of early exposure to the busy world around them. They are super social, smart, vocal, mouthy and VERY active. They love to play, explore, investigate everything and keep their humans on their toes. They’ll thrive with active families who are excited about training, enrichment and giving those busy little brains and bodies plenty to do.
