Meet Baxter 🐾 Baxter is a sweet, affectionate boy who takes his job as a professional snuggler very seriously! Give him some attention and he’ll happily soak it all up. And if you stop petting him before he’s ready, don’t be surprised if he gently paws at you to let you know he’s not finished yet. ❤️ Baxter loves being outside, enjoying tasty treats, and having a good chew toy nearby. He’s also a great little travel buddy who rides nicely in the car and walks well on a leash. Baxter enjoys the company of other dogs, but he’s just as happy hanging out with his people. He would do best in a home with another friendly dog to keep him company and help him feel comfortable. When meeting new people, Baxter can be a little timid at first, but it doesn’t take him long to warm up. Once he does, his affectionate personality really shines! Good in the Car: Yes, he loves his car rides. Good on a Leash: Yes, but he can pull if he sees something he wants. Energy Level: High - he is a lab mix after all. Need a Fenced-in Yard: Yes. Dog Friendly: Slow intros required. Blue isn't the kind of dog that likes it when another dog comes on too strong. He prefers a slow and steady build-up to friendship. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive home? No, he does not need another dog. I think he is a one-dog-per-home kind of dude. Traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Like most labs, Blue is a pure Velcro dog and is always down for the 24/7 cuddling. He needs to be by your side and likely will not run away if he somehow manages to get loose, though he IS a lab, so…better leashed than lost. He loves to play catch in the yard, or otherwise do anything engaging that requires the presence of his people. Blue really, really loves his people.
