These adorable 9-week-old bundles of chaos came to us after an unplanned breeding in Lancaster. Mom is a German Shorthaired Pointer and dad is a Labradoodle. While some may have inherited dad’s looks, personality-wise these puppies are all Pointer! Currently growing up in foster care, these babies have been raised alongside kids, dogs and cats, giving them lots of early exposure to the busy world around them. They are super social, smart, vocal, mouthy and VERY active. They love to play, explore, investigate everything and keep their humans on their toes. They’ll thrive with active families who are excited about training, enrichment and giving those busy little brains and bodies plenty to do. Because they’re currently in their tiny-piranha stage and particularly mouthy, homes without very young children are preferred. If you’re looking for a quiet little couch potato...keep scrolling. But if you want an adorable, intelligent, energetic little hellion who will keep you laughing while you help them grow into an amazing dog, this litter might be exactly what you’re looking for! ABOUT WYATT Wyatt is a sweet, silly pup with a big personality and plenty of enthusiasm for life! At just over 1-year-old, he’s an energetic guy who can get a little excited when greeting his friends, but he’s learning that keeping all four paws on the floor is the best way to get the attention he’s looking for. With a little consistency, he catches on quickly! Wyatt has done fantastic with other dogs so far and loves having canine friends to zoom around with. And if you’re looking for a dog who will keep you laughing, Wyatt has you covered. He’s quite the drama queen and isn’t above putting on an Oscar-worthy performance over the tiniest inconvenience, especially if it earns him a little extra attention! Beneath all the theatrics is an incredibly sweet pup who is ready to bring plenty of fun, affection, and personality to his future family! Because all of our dogs live in foster homes, meet-and-greets are scheduled only after a completed application is received. Adoptions must be within a reasonable distance of Wilmington, DE so our volunteers can conduct an in-person home visit. Meet Dutchess (aka Dutch)! Dutchess is a sweet, gentle 13-year-old yellow lab. This girl is a total couch potato who just wants a cool, cozy spot to nap and some gentle pets and brushing to go with it. When Dutchess came into rescue, she hadn't been vetted in years and was quietly struggling with arthritis pain — her owners surrendered her, and she's been making up for lost time ever since. Since coming into care, she's had a dental, an ear hematoma repair, and treatment for a UTI, ear infections, and hot spots. She's on a few daily medications to keep her comfortable (Cosequin, gabapentin, Carprovet, and amantadine), all manageable and worth every penny for the peace this old girl deserves. At 78 lbs, Dutchess is fully housebroken, calm, quiet (she doesn't bark), and great on a leash. She's good with other dogs and respectful older kids, but due to her arthritis she does best with gentle, considerate humans — cats are still a question mark. She sleeps in a dog bed, isn't crate trained, and because of her arthritis, she cannot do stairs and is too heavy to be picked up or carried — so her new home should be stair-free with easy, ground-level access to a yard for potty breaks. A fenced yard isn't required, but easy outdoor access is a must. Dutchess isn't looking for excitement — just a soft bed, a cool napping spot, and someone to love on her senior years. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi my name is Mimi! Before you get all excited because I am a poodle, please read all about me. I am a sweet girl, but I must have been used mostly for breeding because I am cautious of new people. I will literally run away from you if you move too quickly and when you do pick me up, I will shake even though I eventually will lean into your touch. It was said that I was about 5 years old when I came into rescue. My teeth were so bad that it was rrally hard to tell. Unfortunately my foster recently noticed that I was coughing and took me back in for a other exam. The vet found a slight heart murmur this time and I am currently on medication for this. I am doing great and my cough has disappeared. I will be on this for the rest of my life. Otherwise I am a very happy and energetic girl. I get along well with all dogs and cats. I would do best with no children as it take me a while just to warm up to adults. I would like an older quieter family with a fenced in yard so I cam go outside to potty and run and play. I need someone who is going to be patient and allow me to trust them so they can spoil me like I deserve to be.
