Hello, meet Bronze. Bronze is a 3-year-old Labradoodle. I am currently looking for a loving new home for him due to an upcoming move and not having enough time to give him the attention he deserves. Bronze has a playful, energetic personality and would benefit from a little continued training. He does very well with children and is very affectionate. He may need up to two weeks to adjust to a new environment, so patience is important during that transition. While he should not be crated immediately upon rehoming, he is fully crate-trained once settled. He can be put in the crate but in a new environment he can have a little anxiety!

This is Crockett, a stunning wolfhound(?)/schnauzer(?)/doodle(?)/labrador(?) mix, who was surrendered to us because city life was too exciting for him. Crockett is a big, strong boy, at almost 100lbs. He has a medium energy level and has been completely appropriate with every dog we've ever introduced him to. He is comical, eager to please, smart, affectionate.....and sometimes a bit stubborn! He is very chill and is not the kind of dog that is up in your face all the time.Crockett would do best in a suburban or rural area, with dog savvy adult owners that like to throw a ball and perhaps another dog. Due to his size, Crockett would not be a good fit for a home with children. Please note that Crockett will need regular grooming. This friend has just arrived to us on transport from a high-intake shelter partner! When our friends are new to us, we are often unsure of their full background. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and update their bio with more information as we learn. They are pending interactions with animals until they have been cleared by our vet. Please note that we often are unsure of house, crate, car, and leash training status upon arrival. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

If interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application at https://seniordoghaven.org/adoption-process/. Because all of our dogs live in foster homes, meet-and-greets are scheduled only after a completed application is received. Adoptions must be within a reasonable distance of Middletown, DE so our volunteers can conduct an in-person home visit. Teddy is a sweet 14-year-old Miniature Poodle weighing just 11 pounds, and he is the definition of easygoing senior charm. This gentle little gentleman may be mostly blind, but he navigates the world with quiet confidence and a whole lot of heart. Teddy is fully housebroken, leash trained, crate trained, and perfectly content living the cozy couch potato lifestyle. Teddy came to us from a shelter and has settled beautifully into foster life. He has chronic dry eye and will need daily eye drops for the rest of his life, and he currently takes cyclosporine. While he’s not a fan of his eye drop routine, he tolerates handling well and is otherwise a very low-maintenance companion. Because of his limited vision and mobility preferences, Teddy will do best in a home with very minimal stairs. He can manage a couple going up but does not like going down and will need to be carried for stairs. The good news is he does not require a fenced yard. He happily goes outside to do his business and comes right back in. Teddy is wonderful with other dogs and gets especially excited when he sees them. His little tail goes a mile a minute when friends are nearby. He is also good with kids and enjoys a calm, loving environment. Whether he is sitting quietly with his person or snoozing in his dog bed, Teddy is content simply being near his people. His favorite things include naps, mealtime, and the company of other dogs. His least favorite thing is definitely eye drops, but he forgives quickly with a cozy cuddle. Teddy’s ideal home is one that appreciates the gentle joy of a senior dog and can accommodate his need for minimal stairs and daily eye care. In return, he promises to be a quiet, loving companion who brings warmth and sweetness to every day. If you are looking for a mellow, devoted little shadow to share your couch and your heart, Teddy may be your perfect match. 🐶💛

Kona is a rescue from Alabama. She was abused as a pup and is still working through some fearful tendencies. She is playful and loving but does require some time to warm up to new people. With the proper training and right person Kona could compete for the best dog around. I have adored my time with her but due to unforeseen circumstances it would not be fair for Kona if I were to keep her. Ask any questions needed.
