Story
Introducing Goose, the epitome of canine charm and affection. This delightful pup stole our hearts when we adopted him at seven months old, but unfortunately, we're facing the heart-wrenching reality of having to find him a new home. From day one, Goose has been a cuddly, curious soul who effortlessly charms everyone he meets, whether they have two legs or four. His easygoing nature extends to his interactions with other pets and children, making him a beloved member of any household. Despite our best efforts, we're unable to continue providing Goose with the care and attention he deserves. As we prepare to welcome our first child into the world, juggling the needs of two dogs has become more than we can handle. Goose, with his ever-growing need for training and guidance, deserves someone who can offer him the time and resources to thrive. While we've successfully crate trained him, Goose still struggles with potty training, which has become increasingly challenging for us to manage.

Story
My parents have to move. They will not be able to bring Frida with them as they are downsizing and will no longer have a yard to accommodate a dog her size. She is 4yrs old and a loving part of our family. She is an only dog, but very much enjoys the company of other dogs as she frequents doggie daycare and is naturally a social butterfly. Willing to please and ready to play, she will be a great addition to your family!!

Story
Almost a year ago we adopted a labradoodle from my husband’s sister as she was going to take him to a shelter because her mental health was impacting her ability to care for him. We gave her a third of what she paid to save him from going there. Fast forward to now, we just don’t have as much time to commit to him as we thought. We have a young child and busy work schedules. We are moving soon and need to find him a good home. He’s great with kids. His sister did have a cat. Never had an accident in the house. Will sleep in a crate at night. He has a lot of energy and is social (typical labradoodle) and needs someone who has space for him to play and be goofy. Someone who can help him be a little more trained when it comes to listening and walking on a leash. We are trying to train our actual human child right now and just need to have him someone who has the time. He’s 1.5 years old. Approx 75 lbs. Fixed. Up to date on shots. On flea, tick, and heartworm meds. He’s very sweet.

These pups are in Cary, North Carolina too!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Do you want an active senior dog?  Boone is the dog that is perfect for you. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING BOONE? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC   Boone is a beautiful, friendly Black Lab who 12 year old and 60 pounds.  Boone is such a good boy who deserves another good home. His owner had him since he was a puppy but unfortunately his owner has serious health issues and can longer care for Boone.  They loved Boone so much, they choose to give him up for adoption so he could continue to have a great life. Boone loves humans and canines.  He loves playing fetch with his humans more than playing with other dogs. He has not been around cats or children, so we are not sure how he would behavior.  Older children would probably be best.  Boone is housebroken and has great house manners, so he does not need to be crated when we are not home.  Boone has a lot of energy for an older dog.  A fenced yard would be nice to have.  But if he doesn't have a fenced yard, he would need a daily walk and some serious play time.  Bonne is leashed trained and he is very well behaved on our walks. Boone's loves to play fetch.  You should plan on purchasing a ball launcher or have a good arm!  His love of fetch knows no bounds: hot or cold, day or night, rain or shine, he's always ready to play. He loves butt scratches, ear massages and belly rubs.  He'll join you on the couch or bed or be content with his dog bed.  Boone is looking for a family to play fetch with him and love him for the sweet boy he is.  He will need a home with another dog or with a human who is home most of the time. He is not used to being totally alone. Boone has always lived with either another dog or a person who was home most of the day.  Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.    We prefer that applicants live no further than one hour from Cary NC.  Our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian is any medical care is needed prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We will consider applicants who live a bit further IF the fit is perfect for Boone. Please consider giving Boone the loving forever home that he deserves.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING BOONE? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Looking for a puppy!  Look no further since Travis could be THE one!    Travis is a fun loving handsome puppy who is looking for his forever home after being cared for by Best Friend Pet Adoption since he as only two days old.  Look at him now and read his story below.   He loves to play with his siblings and is working hard on his housebreaking skills.  He sleeps in an open crate within a puppy pen where he feels safe and comfortable.     Travis would be a great dog. He would love to live in a home with another dog and a fenced yard that they romp around in.  An active family would also be a good fit for him.  He will bring a spark of joy to any family that adopts him.      Puppies this young need to be tended to during the day and let outside often to encourage housebreaking.  If adopters are not home during the day, they will need to have a plan in place for someone to check on Travis during the day.     Travis is ready to start an adoption trial now.  Are you ready for him?     EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Eleven puppies were turned into a local shelter when they were two days old.  They were found with no mother in sight and umbilical cords still attached. Best Friend Pet Adoption and another shelter rescued all the puppies. We took three puppies and bottle fed them.  They are now healthy,  growing quickly   and looking for their forever homes.    Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Travis requires an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can be considered for adoption.   Applicants must live no further than one hour from Raleigh/Cary NC. You must be willing to bring Patrick to a BFPA veterinarian in the Raleigh/ Cary area for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Adoptions are not finalized until Patrick is neutered at 5-6 months of age.   Best Friend Pet Adoption covers the cost of all medical care until he is neutered.  INTERESTED IN ADOPTING TRAVIS ? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. You MUST submit a Best Friend Pet Adoption application and be approved prior to being considered to adopt Kit Kat.  Here is the link to our application. https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC .    Are you looking for a new puppy this year? You should consider Kit Kat. She was born on is 12/17/23 and has been under foster care since she was born.  Her   Mom is lab mix who weighs 52 lbs.  Kit Kat weighed 27 lbs at the end of April (4 1/2 mos old) , so she may be larger than her Mom when fully grown.     She is fun loving puppy who is eager to explore the world. Please see her cute video!       She is housebroken. But being a puppy, she should be let outside on a regular basis.   She loves to cuddle and be around people. Kit Kat loves to get attention and be on her humans laps.  She is currently living with three large dogs and gets along fine with them.  She loves to play and run around, so a home with another dog and a fenced yard would be ideal.  Since she loves people so much, she would also do well as an only dog in an active family that is home most of the time.                  If your family is looking for a great new family member who will entertain you and bring you joy every day, Kit Kat will be the sweet girl you are looking for.  Please consider this wonderful dog to be a part of your family today!       EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Kit Kat was born the day after Best Friend Pet Adoption admitted her pregnant momma into our rescue. She has always been in a loving foster home.  But it is now time for her to find her forever home.  Do you think that home could be yours? We hope so!    Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.    Applicants must live no further than one hour from Raleigh/Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized after Kit Kat is spayed  at 5-6 months old.
