Story
Dennis is 4 years old and he is a very good dog. We got him as a new puppy just before our daughter was born and were optimistic. Unfortunately, despite no behavioral problems and being easy enough to house-train, my wife and I have come to the realization that we simply are not dog people as we had thought ourselves to be. He is incredibly sweet and good with children and other dogs. I have never even seen him bare his teeth. He has more energy than I care to exhaust as often as he deserves (a modest amount), which is what this decision has largely come down to. We learned about ourselves that we aren't "dog people;" okay, so we're sentenced to some 15ish years of just treating the poor guy like a burden... every pet, obligatory. every food purchase, a regretful necessity. He deserves a home with someone/people who will genuinely enjoy him because we can see that he would be so easy to love by those with the capacity to make room for him as a member of their family.

Story
Meet Kassie — tall, sleek, sweet, and the best mix of play and cuddles. Kassie is a 1 year, 11 month old, ~60 lb leggy lady who looks like a sighthound–Pointer–maybe-Greyhound remix, built for speed and powered by curiosity. She’s had a rough start, bouncing in and out of the shelter, but once she landed in foster care it became clear: this girl didn’t need a label — she needed structure, patience, and someone to believe in her. And wow, has she been rising to the occasion.Kassie is:💖 Very sweet and affectionate🏠 Learning the ropes of house life 💤 A crate superstar who tucks herself in at bedtime like a polite little goblin🎓 Already knows Sit and Come and responds to a whistle like a champ❄️ Shockingly obsessed with snow despite her short coat🐕 A big fan of fence-line zoomies with the neighbor dogShe’s still learning leash manners (she had opinions at first), but with the help of a Halti collar, walks are getting calmer and more focused every day. Kassie is smart, eager, and very capable — she just needs someone committed to continuing her training and helping her feel secure. Now, full disclosure from Kassie’s management team: she has a strong prey drive. Cats who calmly mind their business are usually fine, but cats who run? Kassie’s brain says, “CHASE MODE: ACTIVATED.” She has made progress with guidance and supervision, but she may do best in a cat-savvy, experienced home or one without small critters. Kassie does great with other dogs. Kassie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested, so she’s ready to start the next (and best) chapter of her life. Her adoption fee is $285.If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, athletic girl who’s learning how to be the very best version of herself — Kassie might just be your perfect match. 💕🐾 All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Chocolate is a young chocolate Lab looking for a safe, loving home. She is about ~1.5 years old, 68 lbs, and has the classic Lab sweetness--friendly, affectionate, and eager to be near people. She doesn't seem to like small dogs. She was found as a stray wandering door to door in my neighborhood in the middle of the night. She has been receiving care for skin issues/mange, as well as some paw injuries. She will need someone willing to continue helping her heal (she loves her baths!) and settle in.Chocolate is a big puppy and has the energy to match. However, she loves to chill and just be near humans. Ultimately, she needs more than I can give her long-term, especially with my other two rescue dogs. She deserves a home where she can get consistency and cuddles on the couch.Fun facts: She is completely housebroken and hasn't chewed up anything destructively. She is a retriever, though, and has collections of items she's 'retrieved' throughout the yard :) She loves the trampoline.
