Story
Hi, Frankie is 1 year 5 months old. He’s a very high energy labradoodle, he does well around other young dogs but doesn’t understand queues very well. He is up to date on all shots as of January 2026 and neutered. We are about to welcome a baby and can’t afford to get him trained. We would love for him to go to a home that has enough time and energy to give him all the love he deserves. He’s such a friendly boy but just too hyper to have around a newborn. You would be lucky to bring him home!

Story
Liesel is a sweet girl with loads of energy. She likes walks, but needs a fenced yard to run and fetch as well. She is dog reactive and when she came to us we were told she does not like other dogs, but that isn't true. She is just dog selective and has spent time with six different dogs while in our care and has done very well. Introducing the dogs in a proper manner is crucial to successfully getting Liesel to accept a new canine friend. She gets very excited when you first come home or greet her and will tend to jump to say HI, but once things get calm, she calms down as well. She has had some training sessions with 3 different trainers and knows some commands. Liesel has calmed down slightly since coming to us, but she will always be a bit high strung and her adopter must understand and accept that. it is just part of who she is. Liesel loves people, both children and adults, and just needs someone to love her for the dog she is. She wants to please and will be loyal and loving forever, if given the chance..

Story
Meet Boomer -- a 1.5 year old Doodle weighing around 41 pounds! Boomer ended up in the Shelter. He was escaping the yard (not fenced) and was heading to a nearby gas station where he was given snacks.    So this snacking Doodle will require a fenced in yard. Standard fencing please. No 4ft Boomer will require grooming  to keep him looking handsome. Foster mom guessing 4 times a year. Boomer is good with other dogs, cats and kids. He's a little jumpy, but his foster mom is working with him.  Boomer isn't a fan of the crate.  His foster mom has been leaving him out at bed time and he's fine also .He's ok to be left out during the day while she runs errands also.  Boomer is down for cuddles and belly rubs. Boomer is housetrained. He's learning his routine and follows a Lab named Charlie who's showing Boomer the ropes.Every PAWS dog is loved, vetted, and ready for a fresh start February 9, 2026, 4:45 pm

Story
Hi, I'm Hunter! I'm an 8-year-old male miniature poodle and weigh around 18 lbs. I spent my first 7 years living in an Amish puppy mill and was dropped off at a vet clinic when I was too old for breeding. I live with other dogs of all sizes (20-100 lbs.) and do fine with them. I can be a little bossy at times, so would do best with other dogs who tolerate that. I would probably be calmer in a house with one or two calm dogs (right now I live with puppies and they can get me overexcited). I might be ok as an only dog too. If someone is interested in me, we could do a foster-to-adopt program to check it out. I would probably be fine with cats and can test if you need. I shouldn't be in a home with children. I seem to be more comfortable around female adults and follow them around for attention. I have to trust you first and then I will want petted! I am crate trained and happily eat my meals in the crate. I should wear belly bands in the home as I work on housetraining. I am spry and healthy but don't have much of an exercise requirement. It might be easier if you had a fenced yard but that is not currently a requirement. As far as toys, I love playing with my ball and like to paw at it and roll it around. Hope to find my family soon!Every PAWS dog is loved, vetted, and ready for a fresh start February 9, 2026, 4:45 pm
