Zoey was surrendered to the shelter when her owner was relocating and could not take her along with them. When she first arrived, Zoey was missing a lot of fur and was very itchy! This was due a severe case of fleas. Zoey had a secondary skin infection and yeast infection in both ears. She has since been treated for everything and while her hair is slowly coming back Zoey is feeling much better! She is a super sweet girl that just wants to be with you! She loves attention and enjoys going on walks! She did live with another dog and did well with them in the home. She did well with the tester cat here at the shelter. Zoey did live with children and loved them very much! Zoey would ove to have a second chance at a loving forever home soon! Story
Kiara was surrendered to the shelter when her owner could no longer care for her, this was her second home in her very short life. She is a 6-month-old, German shepherd/Lab mix and currently weighs 23 pounds. When she arrived, it was noted that Kiara had some vision impairment, not much but you could tell she was not able to see things unless she looked at it a certain way. It was found that Kiara has some old scarring from corneal ulcers that is quite extensive on the right eye but is found to a lesser degree on the left eye, we are not sure how the ulcers occurred or if they were ever treated. Kiara also has a scar that goes around her muzzle that we do not know what happened or when it occurred. Kiara is a sweet girl that did live with children and loved them! She is still a puppy that will need someone that understands the time and patience to train a puppy.
