Story
Palmer-Labradoodle male, ~ 6 yr. (Feb. 2026) Palmer was rescued from a high kill shelter. He was adopted, but unfortunately, the family fell onto bad times and split up. All the pets were sent back to their original rescues and Palmer was warmly welcomed back by his foster home in Bourbon County Rescue. He's accepted the changes in his life but we do want him to has his very own family again. Where he can have the security and love he so longs for. Palmer is a nice medium sized dog with a lot of personality. He's an active dog, who needs an experienced owner/family with an active lifestyle to keep him mentally and physically challenged. He's a loyal dog, bonds easily to people and is a friend to all. Palmer is about 40-45#. A home without small children and cats would be best. He may be too exuberant for them. Palmer gets along well with other dogs. His adoption fee is $300 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Story
If you like the scruffy, fun, active, outdoorsy type, this girl is for you! She absolutely loves to play in the pond, in her case the water basin in the play yard, she enjoys running around the play yard checking things out and playing with her friends. At 1 ½ years of age Roxanne is still a youngster, so she would probably enjoy most any fun activity that she was included in. She is also a friendly and good natured girl that loves people (adults and older kids) and gets along with other dogs. She does not do well with cats. Roxanne is a good size too, weighing 38 pounds…not too big, not too small. All this girl needs is a fun and active family to call her own! She has been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested, is current on all vaccinations, worming, heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Roxanne is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the New England area every week and her fee includes transportation.

These pups are in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania too!

Story
Meet Toby - a big, handsome yellow Lab with a heart just waiting to belong to someone again.Toby is about 3 years old and came to us as a stray, which still surprises us. He had no collar or microchip, though the marks on his neck suggest he once wore one - meaning someone, somewhere, knew this wonderful dog. We truly expected someone to come looking for him… but no one ever did. Now, Toby is ready to start fresh. He’s a bigger boy - possibly an English Lab - with that solid, sturdy build and a whole lot of energy to match. When you first meet him, Toby might be a little shy for a few minutes, just taking it all in. But give him a moment, and you’ll see his true personality shine: happy, friendly, and eager to connect.Toby is very much a young Lab at heart. And if you know Labs, you know that “young” can last a while! He’s not a couch potato - he’s a go-go-go kind of guy who will thrive with an active family. Daily walks, playtime, adventures… that’s his dream life. Because of his size and strength, he’ll need someone who can handle him and continue working with him. He’ll benefit from a “tune-up” in house training, leash skills, and general manners - but that’s all part of the fun with a dog like Toby. Labs are smart, eager to please, and love having a job. With a little time and consistency, Toby is going to be an incredible companion.Toby would do best in a home where he has space to stretch his legs - not an apartment - and people who understand that a Lab’s joy comes from being active, engaged, and included in daily life.If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving, slightly goofy best friend who will keep you moving and smiling, Toby might just be your perfect match.
