Story
Cosmic Charlie is proof that sometimes the best souls just need a little time to feel safe. After what we suspect were many years of neglect and hard living, Charlie is finally discovering how wonderful life can be and he is soaking up every second of it. Once he recovered from his neuter and dental surgeries and realized he was truly safe, his personality started shining bright. If food is involved or the answer to something is “yes,” Charlie breaks into the cutest little twirl and occasionally sings his own happy song. He prances through the house like a tiny gentleman on a mission and happily follows his people from room to room like the world’s cutest shadow. Charlie is an easygoing little guy who has settled beautifully into a home routine. During the day, he lounges nearby while his foster dad works, and he’s learning confidence through gentle guidance and clicker training. Every new little milestone feels huge for this sweet boy. His foster family was thrilled the first time they finally heard him bark because Charlie is such a quiet little gentleman. He’s beginning to grow more comfortable around the other dogs in his foster home too. While they’re not quite playmates yet, they happily share nap spots and peaceful companionship. Charlie is also doing wonderfully with potty training and quickly figured out that outside potty trips earn treats. Smart boy. Charlie loves attention, soft blankets, pellet ice, car rides, going outside, treats, lap sitting, and simply being close to his people. He’s a world class snuggle bug who is still learning how to “dog,” and honestly, watching him discover joy is pretty magical. He would do best with someone patient and loving who understands that trust is earned gently. He doesn’t enjoy being separated from his people and prefers kindness over rough play or tug games. Cosmic Charlie’s adoption fee is $300 and includes neuter, vaccines, parasite prevention, dental care, and microchip. If you’re looking for a sweet little old soul who will adore you with his entire heart, Cosmic Charlie may just be your perfect match.

Story
Just look at that smile! The little guy grinning from ear to ear is aptly named Happy Man, and honestly, we've never met a dog who wears his name more proudly. This charming young Miniature Poodle wakes up every day ready to share his joy with everyone around him. His tail wags with enthusiasm, his eyes sparkle with happiness, and his smile says it all. Happy Man's journey to Critter Cavalry Rescue began with heartbreak. When his beloved owner passed away, he and another dog were left alone in the home. Kind people made sure they were fed while a dedicated rescuer searched for help. Thankfully, Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in, and this precious little boy was given a second chance at the future he deserves. At only 18 months old and weighing about 10 pounds, Happy Man has settled beautifully into foster care. There he received everything he needed to start fresh: a complete veterinary examination, neuter surgery, vaccinations, heartworm testing, fecal testing, a microchip, and all the loving care he could handle. He passed every health check with flying colors and is now eagerly waiting to find out where life will take him next. And what a wonderful life companion he will be. Happy Man is smart, affectionate, playful, and full of personality. He loves people and thrives on companionship. Like many young dogs, he is still learning a few things. He is almost housebroken and will need a family willing to establish a consistent outdoor potty routine. His elderly owner relied primarily on pee pads, so he simply needs a little guidance and patience as he learns new habits. The truth is that rescue dogs don't always arrive perfectly trained. They carry the effects of the lives they've lived before. But what matters most is who they are at heart—and Happy Man's heart is pure gold. If you're searching for a young dog who is healthy, intelligent, loving, and guaranteed to brighten your days, this little star deserves your attention. He has overcome loss, embraced a new beginning, and never lost his joyful spirit. Some dogs come into your life and make you smile. Happy Man is the kind of dog who makes you smile every single day. Could you be the lucky family he has been waiting for?   Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 12, 2026, 5:17 pm

INKY IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN. INKYWILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED!    Meet Inky – A Second Chance Wrapped in Curls!  Inky is an 8-month-old Labradoodle girl weighing approximately 37 pounds, and she's ready to find the forever family she's always deserved. This beautiful young lady has a striking jet-black, curly coat with a charming white patch on her chest. Her long legs, soulful dark eyes, and soft floppy ears give her an elegant, athletic look, while her sweet expression reveals the gentle heart beneath all those curls. Inky's story could have ended before it really began. When she became ill, she was suspected to have parvo, and her owner planned to have her euthanized. Thankfully, a compassionate local veterinarian stepped in and gave her a chance. After a thorough examination, it was discovered that Inky was actually suffering from a severe case of worms. With proper treatment, good nutrition, and lots of care, she made a full recovery and blossomed into the happy, healthy puppy she is today. Now Inky is looking forward to the future and hoping to find a family who will love her for the rest of her life. Like any young dog, she's still learning the ropes. She is doing well with both crate training and house training, and she's currently working on leash manners and basic obedience. Inky is smart, eager to learn, and at the perfect age to continue her training with a family committed to helping her succeed. Inky is looking for more than just a home—she's looking for a second chance. A chance to be someone's best friend, adventure buddy, cuddle companion, and beloved family member. If you're ready to open your heart to a resilient, beautiful girl who has already overcome so much, Inky is ready to fill your life with love, loyalty, and plenty of Labradoodle charm. Could Inky's happy ending begin with you?    She is fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped.  Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to PA.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Inky up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Inky here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 9, 2026, 6:38 pm

Story
Linus is a sweet senior with plenty of pep. When excitement strikes, he expresses it the best way he knows how: spinning in circles. His foster mom considers it one of his most endearing qualities, and it's easy to see why. Linus loves his foster dog siblings and enjoys playing with them and his favorite squeaky toys. He has found his voice in foster care, though he only chimes in when the other dogs are barking. He gets along well with cats, mostly just ignoring them. Before coming to Rescue Me WV, Linus's teeth were in rough shape. He had 9 removed after entering rescue and has 5 remaining, so he requires soft food and soft treats going forward. The good news: he is a great eater and already knows how to sit for treats. Now that his mouth has healed, his personality has really blossomed. At the end of the day, Linus is happiest curled up in a lap or snuggled close on the couch, though he also appreciates having his crate available when he wants a little quiet time. He is social, affectionate, and full of heart. If you are looking for a sweet companion who loves other dogs, enjoys a good squeaky toy, and will happily snuggle up beside you, Linus is ready to make up for lost time.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Nino is one sweet little Maltipoo and has already won over his foster in only moments!    BACK STORY ON NINO; Nino had a rough start to life.  While he had a home, it is apparent that his human didn’t spend much quality time with him. He arrived at his foster home very stressed and afraid. He doesn’t seem to have been exposed to much of the world, but he is curious to explore new things with gentle encouragement. He has his own little (poodle) personality and likes to cuddle up and receive attention. His fur is as soft as velvet! He’ll cuddle next to you on the couch but is also content to lounge on the floor next to your feet. He gets along with other dogs but doesn’t really interact with them.  Nino is a good eater and likes just about everything, including cucumbers and cauliflower! He enjoys exploring and walks well on leash.  He is house trained and will go to the door (or whine) when he needs to go outside.  He is very food driven and also very smart, which makes him easy to train.  He wants to please and will do just about anything for treats! He sleeps well (sleeps on his bed on the floor) and doesn’t demand to get up early (lets you sleep in if you want!)   Due to his slow start in life, Nino is a little on the nervous side.  He needs more time with a human parent who will help show him the world and build his confidence.  Obedience training with his new human is a requirement in order to continue building his trust and confidence.  He enjoys his training sessions with his foster mom and may eventually also like to do other forms of training such as agility. Nino is crate trained but doesn’t require being confined to a crate when he is home alone. He doesn’t get into things he shouldn’t, so hurting himself or making messes should not be much of a concern.  He is also fine with being left alone. I think he enjoys the peace and quiet Nino will need a quiet home with a person experienced with the poodle breed or who has a calm demeanor.  He tends to be concerned when meeting new people, so a household that has lots of people coming and going is not a good fit.    This little guy has the potential to make someone a great companion, but no small children.  He is curious about cats but doesn’t chase them.     If you are interested in Nino, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 12, 2026, 4:37 pm
