Netflix and chill anyone? Calling all homebody enthusiasts! We have found the perfect boy for you! Finn is the ultimate good boy with the blockhead. I’m not sure if he thinks he is full dog or full potato! He loves to give kisses with his massive tongue and to be fed treats out of the palm of your hand. His signature move is belly rub begging L O L and you will see that consistently throughout his video below. https://youtu.be/ikvE4g7QTlg Finn is 82 pounds of pure love! We believe he is a black lab pittie mix and about 2 years old. Due to him being a rescue, age and breed are not guaranteed. But no matter what he is, you will want the joy of experiencing the vibe that is Finn! Don’t let his weight deceive you, Finn is pure teddy material! As soon as you enter the room, Finn will greet you with a lick, a wag, and a roll, promptly expecting belly rubs in return. He is not interested in running or hitting the gym. He wants lazy days every day filled with treats and affirmation. He prefers the life of pampered luxury. Due to Finn’s size, he may be best in a home over an apartment! But he doesn’t require a lot of exercise and he is definitely not looking for vigorous walking. So, if you don’t mind a tight squeeze of living space, any size apartment will do as well. He is a bit of a mosier and tends to get worn out easily, so keep in mind that stairs and long walks to get to a potty space will be a bit strenuous for him. Finn isn’t the first one to be picked in a game of tag or chase. But he may give you a good run in tug of war. He has no issue with doggy friends as he lives in a foster home full of puppy siblings! But he may not be the best partner for a sibling expecting tons of play partnership. Finn would honestly be fine as a solo pup as well. The adoration of his humans is what he craves the most. Do you have kids? Finn would love to help keep them company! He had so much fun playing with our staff’s kiddos aged (4) and (5). He absolutely swooned over getting pats on the head and treats galore. He wasn’t phased at all by their screaming or jumping off the couch. He was just happy to be a part of the fun! Finn really likes the dog life. He wants to be the prime pet to bask in all the good sun spots by the window. He should be in a home with no cats to avoid any turf wars for lounging locations. I imagine Finn’s motto would be “It’s all chill vibes man.” He is going to be the perfect addition to a family just looking for a boy to cuddle with and snuggle with. He’s the type of dog that is going to leave an imprint on his family’s life forever. There are some dogs that are just pure to the core, and Finn is one of them. Story
The innocence and sweetness that radiates from Sandy is the reason why you should adopt her. We immediately fell in love with her and her gentle soul. She has the type of eyes that look into your soul and instantly make you melt. Sandy loves affection, quiet in nature and she is so gentle to. She does take some time to warm up to new people but once she does you’ll find yourself a loyal best friend. She shows her affection by subtly leaning in or taking a teeny tiny step closer to her person for love. Sandy is the definition of love and she has so much of it she wants to share. Watch her video and you'll see her gentle soul radiate from the screen: https://youtu.be/qZViPpTEe90?si=gGNglg2YAnockPe- Sandy has a calm demeanor and does amazing with all dogs. She has a gentle play style and naturally matches the energy of her canine companions, whether they’re rambunctious or relaxed. Having another dog in the home is a must and it helps build her confidence, so she’ll do best in a home with at least one other dog. She’s still working on building her confidence and will require a patient family who can give her time to adjust to her new surroundings. A secure, fenced yard is a must to ensure she has a safe space to explore as she settles into her new life. This sweet girl is fully crate-trained but enjoys sleeping in bed with her fosters. She’s also 100% potty-trained and hasn’t had a single accident while in foster care, which is super impressive for how long she lived outside. Sandy absolutely lives for her daily walks, where her gentle and easy-going nature truly shines. She loves getting out to explore, strolling calmly on a leash and remaining completely non-reactive to squirrels, bunnies, and other distractions. Walks with her are so easy and a joy! She also does great on short car rides, and loves heading out to walk around the local lake. She currently lives with a family that includes two teenagers, a resident dog, and a steady stream of foster pups ranging from six-week-old puppies to dogs as large as 70 lbs. She’s also cat-tolerant and has shown remarkable patience and adaptability with every animal she meets. While she isn’t overly treat-motivated (yes, she’ll even turn down steak!), Sandy has one irresistible weakness: Colby Jack cheese. She simply can’t resist it! Her fosters use it as a treat and also wrap her monthly flea medicine with it. Another endearing trait? She’s incredibly quiet and rarely barks, making her the perfect companion for a peaceful home. Sandy loves affection, but on her own terms. She’ll let you know when she wants attention with slow movements, and enjoys chin scratches, head rubs, and chest massages. She’s just the right mix of affection… not super needy or in your business all the time, but also not apathetic or needing to be left alone. She just wants to connect in her own calm, sweet way. Sandy is a calm and gentle pup, but sudden movements can make her a bit skittish, so she’d do best in a home with older, respectful kids who can give her the space she needs to feel secure. Her ideal family will be patient and willing to give her the time she needs to adjust, while also providing a stable and supportive environment to help her continue building her confidence. If you’re looking for a gentle, sweet, and loyal dog who’s ready to share her heart, Sandy is the one for you. Apply today and start your journey together! Story
The first thing you need to know about Zendaya Maree is her love for her people. Once she opens up, it's game over and before you know it she's the best morning wake up call and the sweetest greeting when you get home. She will snuggle with you all day if you let her and enjoys hanging out in the back yard with you. Zendaya's foster mom specifically says that her absolute favorite thing about her is how affectionate she is and also how expressive her eyes are. She has the type of eyes that look into your soul! Watch her video and fall in love with this sweet and soulful lady: https://youtu.be/xUDR_qW1Das?si=g8E94DwDPlQboof1 Zendaya Maree is believed to be a lab pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 64 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Her video is just a small glimpse to show you what your life would look like by adopting Zendaya. It honestly doesn’t even do her justice because her drive for love and affection goes so much further than a 12 min video. Zendaya thrives in homes that enjoy those simple moments in life and are not overly concerned with being the party house in the neighborhood. After her initial shyness has passed, Zendaya is all about that love and snuggles. If you let her, she will lay in your lap and act like your own personal weighted blanket. Stay in that position long enough, and I can guarantee the two of you will find yourselves dozing off for an afternoon nap. She really is a total cuddle bug and actually appreciates when you wrap her up in a little blanket burrito getting her all tucked in for snuggles. She will definitely keep you warm and cozy during those cold winter nights. Zendaya is the perfect mix of playful and calm. She is the best of both worlds. If you're someone that works from home, Zendaya will be perfectly content settling on the floor next to your feet, keeping quiet, never getting into things she shouldn't be and will occasionally look up at you or rest her head on you leg nuzzling you for affection. Almost as if she knew you needed a 5 min breather from your computer. On the other hand, she has a playful silly side to her as well. She loves to play with toys and has the absolute best time tossing them up in the air for her to catch and loves to destuff them and finding that infamous squeaker! She also really enjoys being outside, going on leisurely walks throughout the neighborhood, porch sitting with her foster family, and relaxing in the kiddie pool. Funny thing about Zendaya is that her foster has an in ground pool and has never really seemed overly interested in going for a swim but the second that she saw a kiddie pool that had maybe about 2 inches of water, she was all for it! I guess you can say she is more of a shallow side pool lounger than a deep end swimming champ. Zendaya is very dog friendly and is currently fostered with 4 other large breed dogs as well as at one point had 2 other foster dogs rotated throughout the home during her time with them. Her initial shyness can be seen when meeting new dogs as well and once she gets to her forever home she will need some time to get settled into her new environment but once that initial shyness has passed, she is such a playful and silly gal with other dogs. That perfectly balanced/ability to match energies can even be said with other dogs as well. In her foster home, she will play play play when initiated but she also knows when it's time to relax, take a nap, and she is very respectful around the other dogs in her foster home that aren't interested in playing. She is also very small dog dog friendly too and has been around a small active chihuahua mix approximately 4 lbs (if that) and she was such a gentle lady around her. You'll see in Zendaya's video how the little chihuahua was running around, moving all over the place, getting all up in her space, was even trying to find places to escape LOL and Zendaya was completely un-phased by it all. She also has spent time with another small dog that is more on the sassy/spicy side that will growl randomly at other dogs and she was a gentle lady with him too. When it comes to the "type" of dog that Zendaya would do best with in a home, there are a lot of options for her in that regards. She can live in a home with another medium energy playful dog, can live in a multi-dog home, and can live with a dog that isn't overly interested in playing. She shares toys and treats beautifully with other dogs as well. We do believe that Zendaya will be happiest in a home with a dog that is a playful happy medium energy dog like herself. One that will engage in play once Zendaya gets comfortable in her new environment and one that also enjoys those calmer hangout moments as well. When it comes to feline friends, Zendaya is very cat friendly and has spent a respectful amount of time with a handful of cats and has been great around them. It was funny because when she met our house cat Biggie, at one point he started chewing on her tail and she literally just sat there completely unbothered. She also wasn't phased when he was running around, jumping up on window seals, getting all up in her face, or any of the things that cats typically do. We do not know if Zendaya has ever lived in a home with a cat before, but based off of the multiple interactions that we have seen, we do believe she has the ability to live harmoniously in a home with a kitty friend. Zendaya is more than just her beauty and sweet personality, she's a smart little lady too and is so loving and loyal to her people. She creates deep bonds with her family and we love her for that although it’s not immediate. Connections with Zendaya are more of a slow burn that require patience, consistency, and understanding. One of the best ways to create that bond with Zendaya is by taking her on walks and also by challenging her brain a little bit by encouraging her to do some agility. Now, we aren’t talking about champion show style type of agility here. We’re simply talking about encouraging her to do some tricks, practicing her leash skills in the backyard, working on her recall, that type of stuff. She is a shy girl at heart and by putting in the effort from the start by taking her on a walk or by doing some version of lazy girl agility, helps her to feel more secure. She thrives with routine and stability. We also want her adopters to be the type of people that will make the decisions for her, always putting her first, always looking forward to what is going to be best for Zendaya, and giving her space when she needs it. Believe us when we tell you, it will be so worth it in the end! Her personality is goofy, sweet, loving, cuddly, and gentle; all of the things you want in a companion. She already knows how to sit, walks like an angel on leash, and is crate trained and potty trained. We are willing to test Zendaya with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
