Story
Meet sweet girl Zoey! Although Zoey's past is a bit of a mystery to us, we do know she was sadly abandoned and brought into SPCA care where she has been adjusting to life in the shelter. Zoey is a cuddle bug; she just wants to love and be loved. Zoey enjoys long walks, playtime and soaking up the sun. She's great on a harness and would love a home where she can get out for lots of exercise. This girl is food motivated and very smart, she seems to enjoy positive training. Zoey needs an adult only home free of other animals, a place where she is the only pup of the palace. If you're patient and have room in your heart for this sweet girl, drop in to meet Zoey from 12pm-3pm Tuesday-Sunday, or fill out an application online! Story
7 year old Finn (Finny) of Victoria is looking for a home. This handsome boy, weighing 60lbs may be a lab x shepherd. Finn is a sweet, handsome, sensitive, smart boy who is dedicated and affectionate with his people. He loves tummy rubs, ear scratches, back rubs and will request more with a gentle paw or moan. Finn loves spending time with his people but is good alone. Finn is timid with strangers and prefers his home to be a sanctuary for his family. He is afraid of young kids and cats. Finn is good with dogs, doesn't pull on leash and has good recall. Finn is food motivated, house trained, and knows his standard commands. He loves a backyard where he can relax, sun bathe and play tag. Finn has a big bark but only uses it to alert you to visitors, doorbells, and cats. Finn was found as a very young puppy in parking lot with his mum and 10 siblings in Mexico and spent his first 10 months in a shelter which is why strangers and loud noises are scary. He likes a safe quiet space to rest and call his own when things are too hectic. He is looking for a compassionate, quiet home with a yard… a squeak toy, stuffy, bone, or even some paper to shred wouldn’t hurt either ! For enquiries please email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com, or go directly to our application here: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw

Story
4 year old Trini is a shelter sweetheart, with a lovely disposition, and very popular with the volunteers, as she is a calming influence. Trini was abandoned on a road near the SPCA PV sanctuary and was lucky to be taken into care as she was malnourished, and surely tired from trying to survive. She is a mixed breed – our guess is lab shepherd cross, with a beautiful lean physique and expressive eyes. She is full grown at 40 lbs. Trini is a wise girl, who reads people and dogs well. If they seem threatening, she avoids them, but if welcoming, she approaches with kindness. Trini is also good with cats showing a similar wise approach when she was tested. She would ignore them in a non threatening way, and then explore smelling them when it felt safe. Trini is also good in the car, curious about the adventure, and she has been a shelter ambassador at a Saturday market. Trini is healthy, spayed and vaccinated and looking for a better life with a family who will love her. If you think you might be a good fit, we'd love to hear from you by email at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com or by filling in our online application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw Trini is in care at the sanctuary in Mexico but has flight options to Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, or Seattle. This girl is a gem!

Story
Cassy is a 48 lb lab cross who may be about 10 years old. Cassy was found tied near the gates of the SPCA PV sanctuary in Puerto Vallarta the morning after a hurricane, with a box full of her puppies. The surviving pups have all found homes in Canada and are thriving. Would be lovely if this mamma also found a home. Cassy is a calm girl who likes walks with volunteers to check out the scents and sounds of the world. Cassy has visited a home with cats and ignored them (though would be tested again if she was a candidate for a home with a cat). She is good with dogs in the shelter, but reacts if there is a fence. She is keen for affection from visitors. Cassy is now spayed, after likely having multiple litters and she's a healthy girl. If you think you might be a good match for Cassy, email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com or go directly to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw Cassy is currently at our sister sanctuary in Mexico with flight options for Vancouver, Seattle, Edmonton or Calgary

Story
*Currently fostered in Houston Texas but is available for adoption via rescue transport program. Virtual meet and greet offered prior to adoption and transport fee included in adoption fee* Meet Lexington, or Lex, or Lexi Lex, as we like to call him! This happy go lucky kid is just what he looks like, a giant, happy, friendly, playful Labrador mix. Except, he's as big as a mastiff! Lexington was found as a puppy by a couple who owns property and rescues all forms of animals here in Conroe. Originally they intend to keep Lex as their own, as he is easy and gets along with everyone on the farm (Except the cats and chickens). However, their situations have changed due to family health concerns and now they want Lex to find a new home for his benefit. Lexington truly adores all he meets. People and dogs, large or small, he loves everyone and always wants to be their friend and play. He is called the puppymaster by our group because he always fathers the foster puppies, and tolerates all their ridiculous puppy play and antics. He has never shown an aggressive side to anything or anyone, besides the occasional bark of distaste should someone truly get on his nerves. Lex loves to run and play and explore with his friends and the puppies on a regular basis. He is exceptional when it comes to sharing, playtime, and anything else that comes his way. Lexington is extremely well behaved and training is a breeze with him. He is leash trained, housebroken, crate trained, knows all his basics and will learn anything you have to teach him. He thrives on all forms of reward including toys, treats and affection, making it simple to find what he likes when you want him to learn the ropes! He's the kind of pup you can take almost anywhere! Lex is fully vetted meaning he is vaccinated, neutered, up to date on monthly preventions, heartworm negative and microchipped. For more information on Lexington, please contact us at Mokasmission@Gmail.com
