Story
Flora and her siblings are alive because a kind woman would go feed their pregnant mama who was living outside near a riverbank, shortly after being born there, mum and pups were taken to safety into the SPCA PV sanctuary. Flora is a lab cross expected to grow to about 50 lbs, with a sleek black coat and expressive eyes. She is good with dogs and cats with a gentle nature. Flora is a timid girl who doesn't like traffic and loud noises. She'd love a home in a quiet area with another dog to show her the ropes. A bit more of her here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJDOjFzzKwn/?igsh=NWlrdW84NHBkZ3pw Flora is headed to foster on Vancouver island. She is healthy and vaccinated (and hopeful). She has an extra "toe" (dew claw) in her hind legs - as do her mum and siblings. It is an unusual characteristic but not harmful, and was sometimes found in snow breeds for extra stability. We think it just makes her special. If you think you might be her happy ever after message us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com or go direct to our application https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw (hCHECK YOUR SPAM FOR OUR RESPONSE).

Story
8 year old Yesenia is a lab x boxer looking for a home. Yesenia was surviving when kind strangers might feed her, but had to be a strong resilient girl. They suspect she may have been used for breeding and was subjected to having her tail docked. When they no longer wanted her they just left her to fend for herself. Yesenia reads people well and likes to be comforted by them. Yesenia prefers male dogs and isn’t a fan of cats. She is spayed and vaccinated, weighing a perfect 45 lbs. If you think you might be Yesenia’s second chance as either an adopter or foster, she’d love to hear from you by emailing us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com or going direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw (please check your junk mail in case we get redirected)

Story
Quick Facts • Name: Mamba• Age: 2 years old• Gender: Male• Neutered: Yes• Breed: Labrador mix• Colour: Black• Weight: 22kg   All About MeHello guys. I’m Mamba. I am a 2 year old Labrador mix boy, looking for my forever home. I am covered in a sleek black coat, which really makes me stand out. I might seem a bit shy at first but give me some time. Once I get to know you, I will let you pet me and rub my belly. By the way, if you have some treats with you, that will make things little easier because I really like to eat!   I have not had many adventures in the outside world and loud noises can be a bit overwhelming for me. But no worries. I am currently getting my training, and I hope it gets better. With time and patience, I will learn to get less sensitive to noises. During walks, I may pull my leash a bit due to excitement, but I am generally responsive to my human’s guidance. After a good walk, I settle down nicely on a couch or in my kennel. Speaking of which, I am a well-behaved even inside my kennel.   I usually get along with other furry friends whether they are about my size or smaller than me. The heart is what really matters! If I find them to be my friends, I will get along well. If someone tries to challenge me, I will step back and walk away. Although I usually get along with other friends, I get little overwhelmed when they become too energetic.   Regarding my potty habits, I use both indoors and outdoors. Whether you live in a high-rise or low-rise, you will not need to worry about it as I have got it all covered. Cats? I do not mind them, but I focus on my humans instead. I do not guard my food against humans and other furry friends. Despite my young age, my energy level is not very high, but I still enjoy my outdoor adventures and activities. Visiting a dog park is also a great idea as I can run freely.   Special Notes I may seem to be a bit shy in the beginning. But once my initial shyness fades away, I am confident that I will be a perfect canine friend who will warm your heart with joy and happiness. Story
Quick Facts  Name: Sunshine Age: 3-4 years old (born October 2021) Gender: Male Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Labrador Color: Beige Weight: 30kg My Story I’m Sunshine, a big, friendly 2-year-old Labrador boy, and I’m as warm and bright as my name suggests! With my sleek beige coat and a hearty 30 kg (66 lbs) frame, I’m full of love and energy. I was rescued from a tough spot at Bucheon City Animal Shelter just before it was too late, and now I’m ready to find my forever family. My Personality I’m a social butterfly who loves meeting new people. Whether you’re a friend or a stranger, I’ll happily come up for pets and even roll over to show you my belly. I thrive on affection and enjoy being close to my humans. I’m a gentle giant at heart, but when I get excited, I can forget my size—so I’d love a family who can guide me to channel my energy. Around Other Dogs I’m polite with other dogs but not overly interested in their company. I’ll greet them with enthusiasm but prefer to focus on my human friends. My heart belongs to the people I love, and I’d much rather play fetch or snuggle up with you than join in doggy games. Daily Adventures With my high energy level, I love outdoor activities and long walks. I do pull on the leash a bit, but I respond well to gentle corrections and am learning to walk nicely. I’m strong but not stubborn—I aim to please, so training me is fun and rewarding! After a good adventure, I’m happy to settle down and relax at home. At Home I have a playful side and love carrying things around, especially bowls or toys. I’m already a pro at basic commands like sit, wait, lie down, and paw, and I’d love to keep learning more tricks with you! While I don’t have food aggression, I do eat with gusto, so I might need reminders to slow down.  If you’re a guy with a steady hand and a firm voice, I’ll likely bond with you quickly. I’m a big softie who wants to be the best companion I can be, but I need someone who can help me with boundaries and guide me as I grow. Why You’ll Love Me I’m the perfect mix of playful and loving, ready to fill your life with fun, joy, and affection. My big heart and loyal nature make me an ideal companion for an active family who will help me manage my energy and teach me how to be my best self. I’m eager to find my forever home where I can be cherished and loved.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8xeHoC5s8I&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jys2-0hJ2E2IM8nYpcrZyR9 ##2281366##

Story
Hi I’m Bunny. I’m an 8-month-old Jindo mix boy, and I weigh about 10kg—smaller and daintier than most Jindos. People always say I have the purest eyes, but the world still feels a little big and unfamiliar to me. I didn’t get to grow up the way most puppies do. When I was about 3 months old, I was taken to a shelter with my siblings. Instead of learning about the world and playing with humans, I spent my early months behind metal bars, watching the world from a distance. That’s why new places, new sounds, and new people sometimes make me nervous. But… I’m changing. At the training center, I was so shy at first. I would sit quietly, just watching, unsure of what to do. But after a few days, I started wagging my tail when I saw my trainers. I even follow them around for treats and nudge them for pets. Once I trust you, I have so much love to give. I just need someone patient enough to help me feel safe. People always tell me I’m adorable and unique-looking, different from most Jindos. But I hope you don’t choose me just for that. I need someone who understands that love, for me, takes time. At first, I might not come running to you. I might not sit beside you right away. But if you wait for me, if you give me time, one day I’ll come to you on my own—and when I do, it will mean everything. I get along really well with other dogs and love playing with them. I don’t start fights, and I know how to enjoy myself with friends. But with humans, I need a little more time and patience. I’m still learning about potty training—right now, I go outside three times a day, and I’m slowly getting into a routine. I also need extra safety precautions for walks because loud noises scare me, and my strong Jindo instincts might make me try to run back to where I feel safe. Until we build trust, I’ll need a secure double leash and harness when we go outside. I know I might not be the easiest dog at first. But if you choose to wait for me, believe in me, and love me just as I am, I promise I will give you my whole heart in return.

Story
Harry is a male Labrador and Jindo mix, estimated to be around 5 years old. He has the appearance of a Labrador, with a slightly chubby build, weighing about 26kg. Having spent a long time in a shelter, Harry is still learning to trust and feel the warmth of humans again. His natural temperament leans toward the calm and reserved nature of the Jindo breed. He rarely barks and is very well-mannered. At first, he may be a bit shy around new people, but he quickly warms up, especially when treats are involved. He happily accepts treats and, once he gets comfortable, will follow people around, showing affection and even begging for snacks in the most endearing way. Harry is also great on walks. While he may get a little excited and pull on the leash at first, he gradually settles down and enjoys a relaxed stroll, sniffing his surroundings at a leisurely pace. He gets along very well with other dogs. He has no signs of aggression and is so gentle that he even shares his treats with his friends. Although he doesn’t seek out interactions with other dogs often, he knows how to quietly coexist and socialize when needed. Possibly due to his long stay at the shelter, Harry initially seemed unsure about how to receive love from humans. However, during his time at the training center, he has been opening up more and more. Seeing how he interacts with his trainer, it’s clear that he has learned to trust people again and has even developed a playful, affectionate side. Once he bonds with someone, he enjoys being petted and will nudge for more attention once you start. Harry is a calm and gentle soul and when he lets his guard down, he reveals his sweet and adorable personality. What he needs most of all is unconditional love. He is a truly special companion, deserving of a forever home where he can receive the love he has been waiting for. ❤️
