My name is Nate, or as my closest friends like to call me, Nate Dogg or Nathan :) I'm a BIG boy with beautiful amber eyes that seem to captivate anyone who has the pleasure of being in my inner circle. Although I'm young, handsome, and smart as a whip, I'm happiest when snuggling up on a big ol' couch and getting pets from my human companions. When I'm not resting from all the hard work of eating snacks, walking in the forest, and getting belly rubs, I like to show off my zoomies in the yard carrying around my favourite stuffy. The home I'm looking for is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city, as city-life is not really my thing. Also, I'd like to be your one and only animal so I can be fully (and rightfully) spoiled. I have made some doggy friends in shelter, but I'm quite picky on those I associate with. Walking past other dogs is my weakness, so I need a strong and experienced paw-rent who can help me navigate these interactions and teach me that barking and lunging at others is not the best way to greet other dogs. I learn best through positive reinforcement training and would love to continue this training into my new home! I can't wait! Some other great things about me are that I take treats SUPER gently, I know 'sit' and 'shake a paw' no problem, and puzzle toys make me extra excited. I'm Luvy, a 10-month-old female Labrador Retriever. I had a rough start in life, tied up to guard fields in the countryside until I was rescued. But don't worry, that's all behind me now! I absolutely adore people! Whether we've just met or known each other for years, I'll wag my tail and nuzzle up to you, asking for pets and cuddles. I've got quite a playful and affectionate nature, you see. I'm quite the social butterfly too! I get along well with other dogs and always greet new furry friends with a friendly sniff and wag of my tail. However, if another dog tries to start something, I might be tempted to join in, so it's best to watch out for that. When it comes to humans, I can't help but bark with joy when I see you, but don't worry, I'm not much of a puller on walks. I do have a high energy level, though, so after a good run around outside, I'm more than happy to curl up for a nice, relaxing nap. The police were called, and I ended up in a shelter, but thankfully, my current rescuer brought me to safety. This dog is located in Houston, TX and is available for adoption to this area. The adoption fee covers the transport cost as well. Sebastian is a super sweet, happy-go-lucky boy. He is approximately 6 years old. He is moderately active and loves ALL people. He is a major goof ball and is very playful. He was part of an effort to reduce a population of stray dogs in a rough part of Houston where a large group of strays were developing. Rescues came in and pulled a bunch until there was just Sebastian and another dog we think is related somehow. He was very nervous and in rough shape when he first came to the rescue. He had a huge scar on the top of his head that we think he was hit with something at point. He was very thin and had hair loss and was suffering from tons of intestinal parasites, heartworms, ear infections and untreated skin allergies. He is now completely healed, heartworm negative and on a special diet that has gotten rid of the skin issues and ear issues completely. He is now a very healthy boy who would love a forever home. He is nervous with new dogs and does much better with female dogs if they give him time to warm up to them. He is very playful and LOVES toys. Virtual meet and greet offered prior to adoption and transport fee included in adoption fee* Meet Lexington, or Lex, or Lexi Lex, as we like to call him! This happy go lucky kid is just what he looks like, a giant, happy, friendly, playful Labrador mix. Except, he's as big as a mastiff! Lexington was found as a puppy by a couple who owns property and rescues all forms of animals here in Conroe. Originally they intend to keep Lex as their own, as he is easy and gets along with everyone on the farm (Except the cats and chickens). However, their situations have changed due to family health concerns and now they want Lex to find a new home for his benefit. Lexington truly adores all he meets. People and dogs, large or small, he loves everyone and always wants to be their friend and play. He is called the puppymaster by our group because he always fathers the foster puppies, and tolerates all their ridiculous puppy play and antics. He has never shown an aggressive side to anything or anyone, besides the occasional bark of distaste should someone truly get on his nerves. Lex loves to run and play and explore with his friends and the puppies on a regular basis. He is exceptional when it comes to sharing, playtime, and anything else that comes his way. Lexington is extremely well behaved and training is a breeze with him. He is leash trained, housebroken, crate trained, knows all his basics and will learn anything you have to teach him. He thrives on all forms of reward including toys, treats and affection, making it simple to find what he likes when you want him to learn the ropes! He's the kind of pup you can take almost anywhere! Lex is fully vetted meaning he is vaccinated, neutered, up to date on monthly preventions, heartworm negative and microchipped.
