Whether it’s splashing in a pool, chasing the hose, or sprinting across the sand on a beach day, I’m happiest when I’m wet, wagging, and surrounded by my favorite humans. I’m also a pro at fetch, a smart boy who knows my basics, and a gentleman on leash, making me the ultimate partner for hikes, road trips, and weekends outdoors. I get along well with bigger, confident dogs (sometimes I can come on strong, but it’s just my enthusiasm shining through). At the end of the day, I’m more than just an athlete, I’m a kind, sweet, people-loving pup who wants nothing more than to be part of a family. Mattie is 5 months old and was rescued from abandonment in the river bottom, narrowly escaping a terrifying fate. But Mattie is a joyful, exuberant and resilient little girl. Regardless of how she started, she is sweet, trusting and affectionate. She knows how to sit and is such a little well behaved lady in public when around other animals. She is extremely smart and connects to her human. She is hungry to learn new commands and soak up the world around her. She has the usual puppy energy but also will sit down next to you with a toy she likes and entertain herself. We have absolutely fallen in love with this sweet little angel in the short time she’s been with the rescue and continue to be impressed with her gentle temperament and big personality. His mom was a black shep lab mix and daddy was a chocolate lab. Despite his initial shyness, once he warms up to you, his playful and goofy nature shines through. He loves to play with toys, showcasing his curious and energetic spirit. Donovan is not just fun; he's also smart and mellow, making him a great companion for both active playtimes and quiet evenings. His loyalty and cuddliness make him a comforting presence. Since Donovan has not been around many people he needs someone who will be gentle and patient with him and give him time to learn all the new things in the world. If you put the time into him he will be an extraordinarily loving and loyal gentle friend to accompany you on walks hikes and fun adventures and be by your side for life. HI - I'M JOHNNY, a 10-year-old pit/lab mix waiting for a foster or forever home. I'm super cute with my red & white coloring and my speckled ears! My ideal adopter is a single person who wants a companion, a pal for hanging out, walks, hikes, watching TV, car rides, napping. I love to play fetch, and I listen to basic commands. I tend to bond to one person who will be my soulmate, so couples may not be the best for me because I don't want to share the person I bond with and love. I love scratches and affection! I get bored if left alone too long, so best not to leave me out in the backyard for hours. I'm still quite agile and have been known to jump over a fence in my younger days. I'm not all that trustworthy around other dogs, especially male dogs, so it's best if I'm the only dog in the home. I'm still in good health and I'm basically looking for my forever companion to go for walks or hikes or simply watch TV and snuggle. I weigh about 70 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? He has not been around people and is very shy, but not aggressive in any way. Tiger is an adorable mixed-breed puppy with a gentle spirit and a playful heart. His mama, a Golden Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever mix, was rescued from a high-kill shelter just in time, and Tiger was born safely after her rescue. We Assume his POP may be Dutch Shep because of Tiger's stunning coat pattern. While we don't know who dad was, Tiger has a beautiful, unique merle-patterned coat that makes him stand out from the crowd. This little guy may be shy at first, but we hope to find someone who can bring out his fun, smart, and affectionate personality thru LOVE and Patience. Tiger is a healthy pup who's growing fast and learning about the world one pawstep at a time. He's looking for a loving family that will give him the patience and care he needs to blossom.
