Story
Romeo was found as a stray, he was timid and didn't trust anyone at first. He was taken to the vet and since then his rehabilitation started.. Now he is a friendly and sweet boy; he is active but not hyperactive, loves to socialize and play with other dogs. He is currently 38 pounds and is approximately 3 yrs old.. Romeo is more confident on himself now and trust humans faster; he likes male and female humans, including kids. He sleeps in a crate with the door open. He is obedient, and alerts his family when he hears strange noises outside the house. He rides very well in the car and is used to being in a crate while commuting. If put on a potty schedule, he waits for his foster to open the door to the outdoor yard to go potty. He will mark territory initially when in a new home, but he get into this potty routine without an issue. He is learning how to walk on leash. He is not food aggressive but eats very fast. Loves toys. He deserves a loving family that will have time for playtime and walks. Romeo deserves an awesome family.

Story
Meet Pal (aka Paloma)! This girl is 10 months old and 37 lbs. Estimated date of birth is mid February of 2025. Pal was found outside the home of a good compassionate human, it seems like someone drop her off at the family door step. She was only 8 weeks old. Since then she has lived with that family unfortunately the family can't keep her as one of the owners is disabled and having another bigger active dog in the household is a responsibility they can't fulfill. Pal is active, knows how to walk on leash, gets along with her canine companion, and also is friendly with the stray cats that sometimes visit. She is playful and loves toys. She is fed separately as she does not like to share her food. She is friendly to humans but at the beginning she can be a little shy, she opens up once she feels comfortable. She is very loving. She currently lives indoors but has access to the patio where she loves to spend time with her canine friend, they also have an area for them on the outside where they enjoy sunny days. A family with another active dog would be ideal, if kids in the family we recommend 12 yrs or older. If interested, please submit your application at www.drwb.org

Story
🐾 The Pup (AKA Darla) 🖤 Status: Ready for her forever home! Personality: Playful, Extra Cuddly, Helpful, & Curious The Pup is a beautiful black-coated sweetheart who strikes the perfect balance between "zoomie queen" and "cuddle bug." She is currently thriving in her foster home and is ready to find her perfect match. ✨ Why You’ll Love Her: • Training Rockstar: She is 100% reliably potty trained (advanced level!) and is making great progress with "sit" and crate training. • Play Professional: She has a beautiful running stride and a massive love for toys. Currently, she’s a squeaky toy enthusiast who can entertain herself for hours! 🎾 • The Best Assistant: She’s very helpful and will gladly "break down" any cardboard boxes you have lying around. 📦 • Social & Sweet: She does great with other dogs and loves to play. She’s curious about the neighbor’s cats but stays quiet and respectful. • The Ultimate Shadow: While she has puppy energy, she is an expert at "Lazy Sundays." If you’re relaxing, she’s right there at your feet or ready for a snuggle. 🏡 Ideal Home: The Pup can be a little shy at first (especially around men) and appreciates a patient approach while she warms up. Once she trusts you, she is a loyal, loving shadow. She would do well in a home with another dog to play with or an active family who loves a playful, toy-loving companion.

Story
Chewy is a high energy 3 year old labrador mix that is on the euthanasia list at the Santa Barbara shelter. I don't have any fosters to save this guys life. He is loving, affectionate, calm, and loves to cuddle once he trusts you. He is good with most other dogs (no intact males please), not good with cats, and no to kids. Please help me save this dogs life! I may be able to transport if you can foster or adopt him. If you foster and then back out I can't take him back so if you foster you can't back out. Let me know if you can help please asap! He has been working with a popular trainer and is really responsive to 8 commands.
