Story
Jett is 6 years old and was adopted from a shelter as a puppy for my then teenage niece. She is now in college and couldn’t take him with her. I have taken him in from my sister because she has had to take on additional work to put my niece through college which requires him to be left alone for long periods of time. I am legally blind and have a dog of my own, and it has become too much for me to handle as well. Jett is house trained and an indoor dog, but he would benefit from a home with a yard for him to run around. He is the sweetest dog and gets along well with my other dog. He loves back scratches and bully rubs. He has never been around cats or children for extended periods of time, but he’s always friendly with children when we’re out on walks. He has also been boarded in homes with cats and I was told he did fine. He does have allergies but they are well managed with meds. We want nothing more than for him to find a new home where he’ll get the same amount of love he gives.

Story
Meet Jitterbug! Jitterbug is a young dog who is eager to learn and even more eager to love. She is all fun, all the time. With the structure and consistency a home of her own could give her, she would thrive! Jitterbug knows her basic commands and is working on her leash walking. She loves toys and to run outside in the play yards. She is a high energy girl, and would love a home that can give her the outlets she needs. Jitterbug is also incredibly smart, and is a good listener. A home that can continue her training and work her brain will turn her into the best girl she can be! Jitterbug does not react well to cats, and would do best in a feline-free home. While she shows some dog reactivity, we think she could live with a dog that matches her energy. If she sounds like the right fit for you, fill out an application and come meet her right at the shelter! She would love to meet you!
