Story
Freyja is an owner loving high energy dog who can get rowdy and rambunctious. She is house trained and crate trained. She generally has been able to be around other animals all this time even cats. I’m unsure of her exact age due to getting her from someone who no longer wanted her as a puppy due to her playful gentle nature and didn’t have papers for her. She should be about 5 years old. I am looking for a home who is able to accommodate her high energy and want to run and play with a fenced yard.

Story
Meet Lola: A Brilliant, High-Energy Best FriendLola is a vibrant, sweet Black Labrador (< 3 years old) looking for her forever home. She is the ultimate companion—highly intelligent, affectionate, and full of life.Basics:• Social: Loves people, dogs, and cats!• Smart: A brilliant girl who thrives on mental stimulation and attention.• House Habits: Kennel trained, sleeps indoors, and isn't a digger.• Energy: High energy! She needs a secure backyard to run freely.Training & Care:Lola is a strong girl and can pull on walks, so she needs a confident handler. She is a natural protector who's playful unless she senses a change in your demeanor. Like many young Labs, she is a "tough chewer." While she respects furniture, she does have a weakness for pillows! She needs some supervision and plenty of durable chew snacks. Why she’s available:Due to home medical requirements for a family member, we need a dander-free environment.Lola is a loyal, lovable velcro dog who wants to be your best friend.

Story
Meet DiegoDiego is a 4‑month‑old Lab/Hound mix who made the long trip from Georgia in search of a brighter future. We don’t know how he ended up in the shelter, but we do know this: he’s packed with personality, spunk, and pure puppy joy.Diego is a zippy little comet in the yard — he loves to sprint full‑speed, veer around you at the last second, and then circle back with that “did you see me?” sparkle in his eyes. He’s playful, goofy, and always ready to turn any moment into a game. We’re not sure how big he’ll grow, but his heart is already huge. Diego has so much love to give, and he’s eager to find a family who will help him learn, grow, and enjoy all the adventures ahead. If you’re looking for a fun, spirited pup who will keep you laughing and fill your home with energy and affection, Diego might be your perfect match.Diego's adoption fee is $300, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. April 29, 2026, 10:55 pm
