Story
Meet Willa!Willa is a 4-year-old spayed female All-American dog who has already proven how resilient she is. She lost a leg after being hit by a car, and while she has a few superficial scars that give her a slightly tougher appearance, her personality is anything but tough.Willa is a wonderfully kind and easygoing dog who enjoys the company of other dogs - as long as they play fair and don’t take advantage of her limitations. She loves to chase and wrestle with dog friends and keeps up surprisingly well on three legs!In her kennel she is calm, relaxed, and respectful, and she is likely house trained, as she very rarely makes a mess in her space. She’s the kind of dog who just quietly waits for someone to notice what a good girl she is. Willa has special needs - she is heartworm positive. Dogs with heartworm disease can live happy, high-quality lives with proper care. Heartworm positive dogs have just as much love and companionship to offer as any other dog and deserve a chance at a forever home! By adopting Willa, you are truly saving a life.Ask staff about the Stormie Rain Heartworm Fund and what assistance may be available to help with her heartworm treatment.ADOPTION PROCESS:Our adoption process is simple and straightforward.Start by completing our pre-screening application: https://tinyurl.com/adoptfromHSCCApplications are typically approved or declined the same day. Once approved and all parties agree, adoption fees are paid and the contract is signed. If the pet is not yet spayed/neutered or current on a rabies vaccine, they will not go home the same day. An appointment will be scheduled, and you’ll receive further instructions at that time.We hope this helps answer your questions!

Luna is 6 years old. She is very loving and requires a lot of hugs. Unfortunately for her we have added two more children to our family and at times she can be overwhelmed when forgotten about. She is protective of and stays quiet. She loves chew toys.

Story
We’re looking for a wonderful new home for Tater!! 🐶 About Tater: • Lab & Italian Greyhound mix • 1 year old • House trained • Sweet, loving, and full of personality With the school year starting back, our family’s schedule is about to get very busy with work, sports, and other activities. We are also downsizing, and after a lot of prayer and consideration, we’ve realized we won’t be able to give Tater the time, attention, and space he deserves. It has not been an easy decision. Our only goal is to find him a family that can give him the life he deserves. If you or someone you know is looking for a sweet companion, please send me a message. We’d love to find Tater the perfect forever home. ❤️ Please share to help us find the right family for him! 🐾

Story
Luna was adopted as a puppy and she is now 2 years old. She is an inside dog but loves going outside. She loves people and other dogs. She loves to go to the park or catching balls (when her sister isnt stealing them). She LOVES food and treats. She is great with babys/kids. She is very friendly and loves to cuddle but will happily go out on an adventure with you. Luna is a very chill/calm dog. She is NOT fixed but is up to date on all of her shots and I have all of her paperwork. She is a purebred lab (no papers). She will hit potty bells if left on the door and she also knows sit, lay, paw, back up and go potty. I just had a baby recently and live in an apartment and I will miss Luna VERY much but she deserves someone or a family who can give her all the time and love she deserves. Ideally we would like to rehome Luna with her sister Riley but willing to rehome individually.
