Story
Rosie is a sweet, playful girl that does best as the only dog. She loves getting affection, sniffing around in the yard and also just lounging around. She is great with adults, kids, and just about anyone that wants to give her some rubs and/or a treat :) She is also a great protector--always paying attention to what is going on outside the house. Rosie is about 8 years old (we adopted her in 2018 and she was approximately 1.5 years old at that time). She has been a great companion, but our youngest son has a dog allergy so we would love to get her rehomed with an individual or a family that can give her the attention she deserves.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.updated 4/11: Meet Jackson – Your Perfect “Old Soul with a Young Heart” Companion  Looking for a dog who’s the best of both worlds? Meet Jackson, a 10-year-young, 50-pound sweetheart who still has plenty of pep in his step—but knows how to truly relax and enjoy the good life. Jackson is the kind of dog who just gets it. He’s equal parts walking buddy, couch companion, and loyal shadow. He loves long strolls, gets excited to play, and then happily settles in right beside you—whether that’s curled up in his dog bed or leaning into you for some well-earned pets (his signature move!). Why you’ll love Jackson: Gentle, affectionate, and easy-going Great with other dogs Housebroken and doggie-door trained Champion cuddler and professional lounger Secret beach bum—he loves water! Jackson may be a senior, but you’d never know it. He still enjoys adventure and would make an excellent walking partner (he’s enthusiastic on leash and could use a little polishing—but that just means more bonding time!). He’s a “go with the flow” kind of guy—happy in a home with other dogs or soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only. While he’s not a fan of cats, he’s been a total gentleman with every adult human and dog he’s met. The perfect home for Jackson: Someone who appreciates a dog with a calm spirit but a playful spark. He doesn’t need fancy tricks—just love, companionship, and maybe a cozy spot on the couch. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will walk by your side, lean in for affection, and remind you to enjoy life’s simple pleasures… Jackson is your guy.  Adoption Fee: $ **Included:** - Neutered - Up to date on all vaccines - Microchipped - Heartworm negative Adoption Requirements: Home visits required and non-negotiable Adoptable through: The London Sanctuary Fostered in: Jacksonville, FL       -----------------------   Meet Action Jackson – The Chill Companion You’ve Been Waiting For  Despite his action-packed name, Action Jackson is more of a laid-back homebody than a thrill-seeker. This 9.5-year-old hound/lab/mutt mix is all about the simple pleasures—quiet afternoons, leisurely walks, and lounging with his people. Personality & Lifestyle Jackson is calm, polite, and dog-friendly. He enjoys meeting people and is great with older kids, though cats are still an unknown. He’s not the type to chase tennis balls for hours, but he will happily keep you company while you sip coffee or work in the garden. Training & Habits He’s crate trained, house-trained, and while he doesn’t know formal commands, his eagerness to please makes him a quick learner. He’s not overly treat-motivated but will happily accept the occasional canned food snack. The Perfect Match If you’re looking for a relaxed, loyal friend who values companionship over constant activity, Jackson could be your guy. He’s healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative.  Adoption Details Jackson is adoptable through The London Sanctuary. His adoption fee is fully sponsored Home visits are required (non-negotiable). Fostered in: Baker County, FL Ready to give this gentle soul his happily-ever-after? Story
Hello, we are rehoming our sweet girl luna, she is potty trained and house broken. She is also crate trained for the nighttime. She is kind to kids and families. I am not sure how she does with other pets as we do not have anyone else but her. She is medium sized, she has all of her shots including rabies. She is very kind and shy. She will need a few days to warm up but after that she is very loyal. She likes to follow without leash. She does need a harness and she does not do good with collar leashing. She does not shed either. She is eating hard food mixed with soft food. She will come with her belongings for free if you would like them, she has a bed, leash, crate, food, and some toys. We really want her to be happy. So anyone who is able to be attentive and loving is a perfect candidate! Thank you again.

Story
Meet Joy! Poor Joy was taken to the shelter on Christmas Day. Because he is an older guy that is overweight with untreated arthritis, he was unable to walk or support his own weight. He quickly became depressed in the shelter and stopped eating, and was put on "the list" for just two days after intake. We rushed to get him and got to him with minutes to spare, and are so happy we did! We did a full medical workup on him, and discovered with arthritis management, there is no reason why he will not be an amazing companion for someone. With some dieting, physical therapy, and medication, Joy has become a complete joy! He is able to walk short distances, that are getting longer by the day. He has a wheelchair to support his back legs if needed for longer walks/to help build muscle. His foster family absolutely adores him, and his personality is finally starting to shine through. He is incredibly sweet and very goofy. He loves to "chase" (a very fast walk) ducks in his yard, and spend time outside laying in the sun. Joy would be perfect in a home that understands he is older and will need to take it slow. Also that he needs to stay with a strict diet to control his weight and make it easier on his aching joints. Salty Dog Rescue is prepared to help the new owners with the arthritis medications to keep him comfortable, and Joy qualifies for the Golden Paws Program. He is located in Brevard County, FL and his adoption application can be found at www.mysaltydog.com!

Honeywheat is pure sunshine in puppy form. She greets everything in life with enthusiasm, from new people to new toys, and she’s always ready to dive into the fun. Her upbeat, affectionate nature makes her the kind of pup who instantly lifts the mood in any room.Honeywheat will need all the typical puppy training, including continued socialization to ensure she remains friendly with cats, dogs, and kids. She’s still learning house training and will need consistency and supervision to keep her from getting bored and into mischief. She is also in her teething phase, so she’s very into chewing right now and will benefit from plenty of appropriate outlets.Requirements: Martingale CollarAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home.
