We took Echo in 3 weeks ago. We were originally told that she was friendly&great with children. After bringing her into our home &seeing some concerning behaviors, we reached back out to her previous owner, who later disclosed that Echo had previously shown some aggression toward her children.Echo is a beautiful Lab girl (possible mix) & she truly has a lot of wonderful qualities. She gets along extremely well with our dog and has been very gentle&respectful with the cats in our home. She can be sweet, affectionate, playful, cuddle bug& is otherwise a great dog. up to date on her shots and spayedWe have also seen growling toward members of the family, fear/reactivity toward strangers, and unpredictable behavior that makes us uncomfortable having her around children. Because of this we feel that she needs a home without kids&to someone who has time and experience to work with her. I think she could easily turn into the best pet. We have an infant& 8 year old so we can’t risk it.

He is working on his place command, knows sit and stay very well. Jid can be a bit much sometimes when he gets super excited and gets a little mouthy, so this training is added that structure he needs to know what is expected of him. He is super playful and dog-friendly! He has done great at adoption events. House trained, crate trained, and loves dogs and people for sure! Hershey is a lovable amazing pure breed chocolate lab who was born in North Dakota and has traveled all across the country with me and my family for the last 14 yrs. He is by far the best dog anyone could ever have. Now that all the kids are adults, we just don't have the time to take care of him like we used to. Me and my wife travel for work 4-5 days a week now and want him to thrive in a family that will love and take care of him as much as we have. Hershey listen on command, can hunt, fish, and love to play with other dogs and children. He would be the perfect addition to any family. My family loves him with all our hearts and want to make sure he is loved just as much as we have loved him.Thank you for reading and we hope to hear from you soon!!!

Very playful and makes silly faces :) He can be a bit much sometimes and gets a little too rough with jumping and getting mouthy. Things we are working on in training. He does okay around other dogs in our group training class, but we have not let him come up to them or engage in play sessions. With his current foster, he's only been around teenagers and that's good for him. They help him get his energy out with games of tug of war and fetch while being big enough to handle him if he gets jumpy. This love bug hates his crate......throws a tantrum like a 2-year-old. We're also working on this in training. Loves being outside and is constantly going in and out through the doggy door to see what the neighbor dogs are up to. Hi, my name is Harper and I'm about 10 months old.  I was rescued by Bond County Humane Society (BCHS) from Fayette County Animal Control.  Me and my litter mate were found running at large.  We had been in Animal Control for 3 months without anyone interested in adopting.  I am friendly and playful.  I get excited when I meet new people and dogs.  I am good with other dogs.  I play with Jack, another dog at the shelter and I played with Brandy before she was adopted.  I love playing fetch with toys.  I am still learning my manners, but I know "Sit" really well.  I enjoy water so much that when I'm outside playing I will put most of my head in the water when I get a drink.  I really love the kiddie pool on a hot day.  I wasn't sure about the leash at first, but now I enjoy my walks on leash.  I am an active girl so my family should be active as well.  I may be housetrained.  I am crate trained.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm tested, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $150.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.September 30, 2026, 10:43 am
