Story
Hi, my name is Sadie and I'm almost 10 years old.  I was originally adopted from Bond County Humane Society (BCHS) when I was about 5 months old.  I have lived with my adopters and 2 other dogs until I was surrendered back to BCHS in Sept 2025.  The family has split up and they could not keep me or the other dogs because their living situation changed.  I am currently living in a foster home.  It is just me and my foster mom in the home.  I like the peace and quiet of my foster home.  I don't like a lot of noise and activity.  My foster mom says I am super sweet and smart.  I am an alarm barker so when I hear someone or something I let you know and my bark is intimidating.  Little does a stranger know that I am totally harmless.  As soon as someone enters the house I'm fine and I go sit by my foster mom.  I am timid with strangers until I get to know them.  I am in good health.  I did desperately need a dental and that has been completed.  I had to have 13 teeth removed.  A bloodwork panel was done on me and everything is in normal range.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm tested, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is by donation.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.October 30, 2025, 3:59 pm

Story
Rhae is a sweet, playful, and loving dog with a goofy, energetic personality. She loves attention, enjoys being around people, and settles in well once she’s had some playtime. She’s crate- and potty-trained, and she picks up routines quickly smart and food-motivated. She has her rabies and distemper shots. She is not spayed. I am including her crate and any leftover food so she can transition easily into her new home.

Story
My friend found Koda on the side of the road, she was dumped off by some people and I took her in because I had a house that was fenced in and plenty of space, and I no longer live there. She is 2 and a half. She loves everyone and I have heard her bark 2 times ever. She is definitely not a guard dog as she will just love anyone who walks in the door. She is always excited to see everyone. The only problem I am having with her is that she is too excited when you get home so she jumps and wont give you space for a bit.

Story
Floyd has been in our program for over 2 years now waiting for a forever family. He is such a great dog! But would do best with no other pets in the home as he prefers to be an only child. Floyd has learned how to be loved and has come such a long way. He's a Lab and Mastiff mix who is 6.5 years old now. There's still a road ahead of dedication and training that he'll need. Floyd is treat motivated, so he's responsive to training. He LOVES to play and run, and is a super toy chewer dog! Floyd is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and currently receiving monthly prevention for flea/tick and heartworm. If you're the right family who is able to care for Floyd, please submit an adoption application via our website, www.effinghamanimalrescue.com.

Helios is roughly 1.5 years old and has lived most of his life in a crate. He had to spend many hours couped up when he should have been playing and being a puppy. He needs a family to love him and give him the proper training and exercise. He is a sweet boy but will need continuing education. He needs the time to learn and realize that he will never be locked up like that again. Please come out and spend some time with this handsome boy, he will melt your heart. His adoption fee is $0 because he is fully sponsored thanks to a kind donor! He comes neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative, on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, and a microchip that we register for you.
