I need to rehome this adorable girl. I adopted her back in December from a local shelter / rescue. I have other dogs in my home. Upon meeting before coming home she was fine with the other dogs. Since then she has gotten progressively worse with aggression towards the other dogs. She has attacked one of my dogs 5 times with one of the attacks landing my dog in the ER. She is SWEET AS CAN BE to people and MUST BE AN ONLY DOG. She loves every person she meets. I am not sure how she is with children as I don’t have any small kids around any longer. I have tried separating, training, humane muzzles, vet visits and medications, you name it to be able to make it work and keep her. But it’s just not safe or fair for either of the dogs. I don’t want to return her to place I adopted (and I was told I could rehome in my contract) because I need to make sure she goes to a good home with someone who understands fully her challenges so no further dog injuries occur. He's got a lot of energy and will need some manners training to really blossom, but he is a gorgeous fella with a lot of potential! He is about 2 years old and will probably do best with older children, just due to his size and energy level. Per his owner, he's house trained - he'll whine to go out, and wire kennel trained. Rowena is a 9-10 year old lab mix (we did a DNA test and it came back lab/chow/golden retriever/pointer and several others) - about 60 lbs. She is house/kennel trained, and definitely wants to learn how to dog! She was found in 2019 living in a wood pile in Oklahoma protecting her puppies, so has some trauma there that needs worked through and a dedicated adopter will do so much for her. She needs a very structured living environment and a strong dog-savvy owner. She loves to be outside so would enjoy a nice physically fenced yard (no invisible fencing with her history, sorry). Privacy fencing will be preferred as she guards her territory. She will not do well in an apartment setting since she has a fear of strangers and needs muzzled on walks in strange places. She has been through heartworm treatment and will require an adopter who will keep her on preventatives and regular testing. She does well with dogs as long as they aren't tiny/can't be mistaken for squirrels or rabbits. She chases cats. She is food protective with other dogs, so will need to be fed separate / in kennel as a precaution. Once she is comfortable with you, she likes to snuggle and give kisses and hugs -- but it may take a few weeks for her to warm up fully. No kids for Roe -- fast movements and small creatures with her don't mix. Her adoption fee is $250. Alonso is a young (under 2 years) purebred lab boy (Embark DNA tested; we think he was bred to be a champagne lab) looking for a family to call his own! He came to us in January as a stray from a small town in Iowa, very skinny at only 55 lbs and with a bad skin condition from being on his own so long. We have given him lots of medicated baths and his fur has grown back well, and he's up to 80ish lbs now so he's ready to start looking for a home! He loves all humans - kids included. He does need a home without cats/tiny dogs, but he so wants to play with larger doggos. He tends to get overwhelmed with lots of other dogs so probably won't be a dog park pup (at least right away), but he wants to please his people and will thrive with more one-on-one time. He is working hard on leash skills and basic manners, and does great on car rides. He won't be a good hunting dog as loud noises can tend to spook him, but being outside is one of his favorite things so he would love someone willing to take him out and work with him several times daily. His adoption fee is $250 and he's fully vetted / ready to schedule meets with people any time.
