Story
Looking for a loving family for our 12-year-old dog. Mira is 24 lbs mix of Black Lab and Rat Terrier, which basically results in a black lab puppy for life! She's great with other animals (dogs, cats, rats) and is fine around well-behaved kids. She loves attention, playing ball (endlessly), and going on walks. She walks well and knows quite a few tricks! She doesn't like to swim but will get in a boat (even inflatables). Some of her favorite things to do are opening Christmas presents and sitting at picnic tables to snack on a few B-bops fries or a pup-cup. She's healthy, spayed, and up-to-date on all shots and vetting. She makes a great companion and does great when being kenneled at 4Paws (Clive) where she loves doggy daycare and gets constant praise and adoration by the staff. She will come w/ harness, lead, water bowl, bed, and toys.

Story
Rowena is an 8 year old lab mix (we did a DNA test and it came back lab/chow/golden retriever/pointer and several others) - about 60 lbs. She is house/kennel trained, and definitely wants to learn how to dog! She was found in 2019 living in a wood pile in Oklahoma protecting her puppies, so has some trauma there that needs worked through and a dedicated adopter will do so much for her. She needs a very structured living environment and a strong dog-savvy owner. She loves to be outside so would enjoy a nice physically fenced yard (no invisible fencing with her history, sorry). Privacy fencing will be preferred as she guards her territory. She will not do well in an apartment setting since she has a fear of strangers and needs muzzled on walks in strange places. She has been through heartworm treatment and will require an adopter who will keep her on preventatives and regular testing. She does well with dogs as long as they aren't tiny/can't be mistaken for squirrels or rabbits. She chases cats. She is food protective with other dogs, so will need to be fed separate / in kennel as a precaution. Once she is comfortable with you, she likes to snuggle and give kisses and hugs -- but it may take a few weeks for her to warm up fully. No kids for Roe -- fast movements and small creatures with her don't mix. Her adoption fee is $250. If you have an easy-going and patient lifestyle that will give this girl the structure she needs and are interested in meeting Rowena, please put an application in at www.foreverhomedogs.org and we will set up a meet with you!All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

Story
Meet Taylor, a gentle and somewhat shy Lab mix weighing in at around 35-40 lbs. Taylor's journey started in a challenging place; he was among about 90 dogs in a hoarding situation, where he had to fight for his food and missed out on socialization. However, despite his rough beginnings, he hasn't shown any signs of aggression towards people or our other furry friends. It's clear that he's eager to be the absolute best boy! It took Taylor a few weeks to warm up to us, and he's still on his path to becoming a confident pup who can go for walks on a leash and socialize with others. Taylor has mastered the art of potty training, with initial marking issues that have now become a thing of the past. His crate is like a safe haven to him, providing comfort when he's feeling anxious or unsure. This sweet boy is longing for a serene forever home, ideally with a confident dog sibling to be his guide and companion. Taylor's new family should be exceptionally patient, allowing him to blossom at his own pace. It may take some time - even months - for him to feel completely at ease in his new surroundings, but he absolutely deserves that chance. Trust us; investing time in Taylor is worth it because beneath that shy exterior, there's a little goofball just waiting to shine! Let's work together to find Taylor the loving forever home he truly deserves. Your patience and care can make all the difference in his life. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Is it obvious that my appetite is insatiable? Well, I'm on the lookout for a family who can satisfy not only my hunger but also my heart. Meet me, an incredibly good-natured boy, a delightful blend of Lab and Shepherd breeds. I embarked on an epic journey all the way from across the vast landscapes of Texas to find a compassionate rescue that appreciates my charming squishiness. Now, here's the twist-I'm patiently awaiting that extraordinary family, the ones who will adore me and embrace every ounce of my gooeyness. Whether you're a brownie enthusiast, a belly-rub aficionado, or a household bursting with little and big humans, I'll fit right in. My affection knows no bounds; I have an undying love for dogs and people alike. Food, oh glorious food, has a special place in my heart, and it's safe to say that belly rubs are my ultimate weakness. So, if you're a family that knows how to whip up delectable treats and offer endless belly-scratching sessions, congratulations-you're officially my new family! Just remember, the first step to forever companionship is to apply for adoption. I eagerly anticipate the day when my new family will sweep me off my paws and into their loving embrace. The clock is ticking, and I am here, patiently waiting for you! Story
Greetings, I'm Yin, and I'm here to bring a little more balance into your life, even if I'm no Feng Shui expert! Consider me the first half of your "Feng" equation - let's figure out the rest together because, at my age, there's no need for extra stress! Once upon a time, I arrived as part of a trio of older girls, each of us weathered by life and not quite the social butterflies. Physically, we were in ruff shape, but thanks to the rescue, we narrowly escaped a less fortunate fate in a rural shelter where second chances are rare. I'm Yin, a mature black lab mix, a solid 73 pounds of sweet girl. While I may look a bit ruff around the edges, a glimpse at my photos on the plea will show you how far I've come and how much better I look now! Among my trio, I'm the most social. I get along with other dogs, but I prefer to hang with my peers - no need for those young whippersnappers to pester me, right? I'm ready to embark on my well-deserved retirement, and I've even got my tropical shirts ready for sipping fruity drinks. If you're looking for a companion to share your laid-back days with, don't hesitate to apply. Let's make this golden phase of life truly special together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Hey there, I go by Shy Shy, but my friends sometimes call me Pretty Girl or Silly - guess I've got a few aliases. My heritage is a bit of a mix: part Lab, part Blue Heeler, and all wiggle butt! When it comes to snacks, I'm all about the healthy stuff - carrots, apples, and peanut butter are my jam. Now, I've got a little quirk - I can be quite the alarmist around strangers. You see, I bark as a defense mechanism, but once I've given you the once-over and decided you're cool, get ready for a smooch fest. My favorite pastimes? Sunbathing, rolling in the dirt or grass after some epic zoomies in the backyard, and playing with toy bones, sticks, or my beloved PB-stuffed Kong. Oh, and squeaky toys? Don't get me started - they're the best! Car rides? Absolutely! Feeling the wind in my hair is a pure delight. Sometimes, I'll serenade you with a little snore, and as for where I sleep, well, I've got my own cozy doggie bed, but I won't say no to a spot on the couch or even the bed for some cuddle action. I've been doing great, and I'm still as sweet as ever. Just a little note, I can have some allergic reactions to food, but I'm on a special prescription diet, so no worries there. Never had an accident indoors, and I'm quite the communicator when I need to go outside. So, if you're looking for a loving companion who's as unique as they come, visit www.godsdogsrescue.org to learn more about me. I'll be here, most likely on the couch, looking as cute as ever!
