Story
Bree, is the most amazing lap dog! She is good with other animals and kids but doesn’t always like to share attention or love. We have not had any major problems with Bree with our toddler but we think she would be best fit for a kid free home. She needs more attention than we can give her with our changing family. She would do best with a fenced in yard and someone that is able to walk her regularly. We love Bree so much and know you will too!

Story
Chewy has lived as a spoiled member of our family for the past 6 years. Since he was 6 weeks old he has been sleeping in my bed under the covers. He is a gentle giant who loves his people. His favorite game is tug with the rope, and also playing in the sprinkler. He enjoys chasing the frisbee, taking walks and car rides to get a pup cup. His has always been a calm dog and is great with my kids. Chewy has had obedience training and one on one reactivity training. Chewy has grown up around several other dogs his size, and generally does well with them, but he gets nervous around new dogs and has a strong prey instinct. When he reaches his reactivity threshold he has a hard time remembering his training. He is looking for a home with a fenced in yard and no other animals for his safety and theirs. He is trained on a gps collar, but a physical fence to keep other animals out will be needed. He needs his new family to be ready to give lots of love and snuggles.

Story
Lucas is healing nicely and is looking for his forever family. This baby came into rescue with a severely damaged leg that required an amputation. This doesn’t stop this pouty lipped boy from getting around or acting like a “normal” four legged puppy. He is good with other dogs with slow and proper introductions and kids. No cats as he will chase. Story
Meet Luna…..Miss Luna is nervous about meeting new people, especially kids. Give her a proper moment to warm up, and she’ll turn into a fun-loving little puppy. The dog you bring home will not be the same dog in a few short days. 💖She’s a 6month old Lab/Pit mix💖spayed, HW-, UTD on vaccines💖potty trained 💖crate trained💖a nervous/vocal greeter of new things. Needs to build confidence and shown the world is not that scary💖typical puppy with cats. Chases but not aggressive 💖good with other dogs and loves to play! (Doesn’t like to share her food with them-but I don’t blame her!) 😜💖nervous around small/loud kids-maybe needs older kids or just to decompress more. 💖takes treats nicely 💖learning to sit💖rides well in car💖loves to come to work and is doing really well meeting new people. 💖is a hoarder if things. Brings random things to the middle of the room and then goes and finds something else to bring over. 😂 Luna is the shining example of why you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. She may bark or even growl when she first meets people, but that’s not the dog she is. She is a lover not a fighter. ❤️ Apply to meet her and make her part of her very own family! Story
Are you a lonely introvert looking for a devoted, super smart, and completely goofy best friend? I just might be your guy! Here at MAS I am staying in the quieter building; when I go home I would like to keep my living situation more low-key as well. Because I am a nervous-nelly, my adopter needs be a confident and experienced leader willing to take it slow and really get to know me before I go home. It is much more comfortable for me to build up to a relationship with new people (I am kinda like an introvert myself); I like to take it easy and go for a couple walks before we label our relationship as friends. Once we are friends, I am known for my "Trevor hugs" with my favorite people and I am quite a cuddley boy (I love belly rubs)! Car rides are one of my favorite things, usually car rides mean fun adventures together! If there is potential for water activities, you may want to bring a towel - because you better believe I am going to be jumping in! Going for rural, more scenic walks is another big highlight in my days. Not to brag, but my leash manners are pretty good (except when there's something I have to mark as mine - then I will lead the way there). As far as the nitty-gritty details go, I would be happy to befriend your cat, but I am not very interested in hanging around other dogs or kids. I have some allergies and anxiety that I have long-term medications for, but the MAS staff will go over the details before I go home. DOB: 1/21/2015 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/

Story
Kaboom is a big goofy black lab mix who came to us as a stray. We were thinking he was around a year based on his bounciness but his teeth say he's around 3 or 4. He is looking for an active family with a big yard and a playful dog or someone who enjoys running or hiking. He's a good boy who loves to be right in the middle of the action!
