Story
Meet Red, a striking black Lab mix who is just under 2 years old and 70 pounds of pure personality. Red was found running wild with his buddy Greyson (now adopted) and has clearly decided that life is best lived full speed ahead. He is tall, shiny, and statuesque, like a living sculpture of a dog, but don’t let that regal look fool you. He is a total goofball at heart. This boy LOVES to play. Tag, keep-away, and full-on zoomies are his favorite sports. He brings big, joyful energy and would thrive with an active home that can match his enthusiasm and help guide it in the right direction. Red is also a big cuddle bug who has no idea how large he is. He is convinced he is lap-dog sized and will happily lean into you for affection whenever he gets the chance. He is still learning his manners and will need training and consistency to help him become the very best version of himself. He is smart, willing, and ready to learn with the right guidance. Important note for placement: Red does NOT like cats and will need a cat-free home. If you are looking for a handsome, fun-loving companion who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and then crash into you for snuggles, Red is ready for his next chapter.

Story
Sadie is a beautiful 2-year-old retriever mix with a fun, active spirit and a loyal heart. She is calm and easy-going in the house, but when it's play time she enjoys going for walks and playing outdoors, especially chasing balls. Sadie is fully housetrained and leash trained. She knows basic commands, has had some formal training, and is very smart. Once it’s time to relax, you’ll find her happily chewing on her bones and squeaking her favorite toys. Sadie loves to be close to her people and enjoys cuddling on the couch. She will happily stay near you while she plays with her toys, or keep you company in the house as you go about your day. Because Sadie loves hanging out with her people she would make an excellent companion dog. She can be a little shy when she first meets you, but she warms up quickly. Sadie seems to prefer adults and older children, since sudden movements and noises have been known to startle her. Sadie currently lives with multiple dogs in her foster home but would also be content being an only dog. Is this lovable girl calling to your heart? If you'd like to meet Sadie, fill out an application here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ITMD/Dog. Sadie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives. Her adoption fee is $325.

Story
Beatrix is a young spayed, 45-pound chocolate-colored lab mix with exotic yellow-gold eyes. She is housebroken, crate-trained, and leash-trained. Beatrix has a sweet and playful personality that comes across in everything she does! Don't be intimidated by her weight; this short little lady is only about 22 inches from the top of her shoulder to the floor. She loves life with such enthusiasm that she has earned the nickname BeBe Wiggle Butt since she wags her entire back end and tail when she's happy. Beatrix loves all people; with a proper introduction, she also loves other dogs. She currently resides with two foster sisters and two foster brothers, and she plays with them all day long. Beatrix is also a cuddle bug who loves the couch and putting her head on her foster mom's lap. BeBe Wiggle Butt has learned some basic manners such as sitting and waiting for her dinner or a treat. Treats are her absolute favorite thing in the world! Since she is treat-motivated, she can easily be trained by her adopters for a variety of commands. She already goes into her crate on command! BeBe would be a wonderful dog for an active family as she already loves hiking and swimming, and she would love you with every ounce of her being! Beatrix is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. Due to some generous donations, her adoption fee is $100. Want to learn more about this wiggle butt? Fill out an adoption application at istodaymydayrescue.org, and one of our team members will contact you.

Story
Meet Faith – A Survivor with a Heart of Gold! 🐾 Faith is a 2–3-year-old bundle of love and energy with a story that will break your heart—but a spirit that will inspire you. This brave girl was found in a landfill, injured and alone, but thanks to a kind rescuer and a dedicated rescue, Faith has made a remarkable recovery. She had to have her tail amputated and received treatment for several other injuries, but none of that ever dimmed her spark. Faith is now thriving in her foster home and ready for her forever family! She’s affectionate, playful, and absolutely adores people. Her favorite things include snuggles, squeaky toys, and zooming around with joy. Despite everything she’s been through, she greets life with tail wags (or butt wiggles!) and kisses. Because of her high energy and bigger size Faith would do best in a home with older kids who can keep up with her playful spirit. She’s very enthusiastic around other dogs and would benefit from slow introductions to help her make new furry friends. Faith is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations. She is being fostered in the St Louis area. If you interested in this sweet girl, please fill out an application at istodaymydayrescue.org and someone will reach out to you about her. Faith is proof that resilience and love can overcome the darkest beginnings. Could you be her happy ending? 💖
