Meet Bunni! She's shy with new people, but warms up if you offer her some tasty treats. She's food driven and eager to please. Bunni also loves to give you a serene smile once she knows you're a good person (the kind who gives yummy treats). She's smart and knows to sit and wait for food, and to go in her kennel at night. She's also house trained. She enjoys being outside and playing with toys. She loves to play with other dogs, and she sleeps quietly in her kennel throughout the night. She's great with kids and other dogs. Bunni is about 1 year old and weighs 28 pounds.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
"Nothing is more important than our friendship." -Mike Wazowski (Monsters Inc.) Our friend Mike is currently in Southern Missouri receiving his Good Canine Citizenship certification via the "Puppies For Parole" program! When he is finished he will be ready to go home with his forever family. Mike is a devout friend, and companion. He would love nothing more than to spend his days laying on your couch and staring into your eyes, while you're staring into his ONLY eye. Mike has been a wonderful addition to his foster home, and his foster dog-brother would be considered his best reference if he were to interview for a position as YOUR best friend. His play styles with other dogs tend to teeter between "rough and tumble" and "lets coexist!" He also doesn't mind just cuddling up right next his dog roommate, and you as well. We also believe that Mike would be very pleased with young human brothers, or sisters! When he meet's kiddos he is gentle and inquisitive. Mike really enjoys anything that connects him to his inner puppy. Mike is waiting for his Disney style happy ending. If you're interested in meeting and greeting with Mike, contact us today!

About Cooper: a 1yr 10month old lab mix that is around 60lbs with beautiful amber eyes. He LOVES WATER and has major ups for the hose. Coop also doubles as a bug zapper (loves to eat flies lol) He is house and potty trained, dog and older kid friendly (hasn't met any littles). Did you know black dogs often take the longest to find homes for? Please consider this good boy for your home. They all deserve it!

Story
Arrow is now at his ideal weight, looking handsome and athletic with a shiny, healthy coat. He’s gained a lot of confidence in his place in the pack and enjoys wrestling with his Weim foster brother. Arrow is a German Shorthaired Pointer and he’s about 2 years old and 60 pounds. Arrow is a large, athletic dog. His long legs give him natural running ability, and with continued practice he will make an amazing running buddy. He regularly does 8-12 milers with us, and does need a few reminders to stay focused but it’s steadily improving. He also loves walks - we do two kinds of walks. One we call “sniff walks” on a long lead where Arrow can follow his nose. The other is just about exercise business and he walks really effectively on a half hitch to curtail the pulling. Arrow needs these outlets - both mental and physical - to be his best self. Arrow is doing well on sit and getting better at come. We are also working on “place”, which we think is important to peace at the dinner table, as Arrows head is effectively table level. He’s completely house trained and crate trained. He’s a handsome athlete and will be successful with a family who can commit to giving him the physical and mental outlets GSPs need to be good dogs. After seeing him settle in, I’d be comfortable with him going to families with other dogs (male and female) with patient adjustment time and the understanding that this boy is a giant puppy, who loves big and plays big.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats.
