Story
This handsome boy is called Archie and he is a Labradoodle male that is just 1 year old, 38 pounds (very underweight)  and despite the abandonment that he just experienced in the early months of his life, he is happy and engaged with the world in every positive way.  He recently what no dog needs to experience.  He was thrown over a fence by his owner, into a yard next door to where his owner lived.   Then the man just disappeared with no word to anyone and not even to his landlord.  He just left town.  He was cited by animal control after a report of Archie's poor living conditions and emaciated appearance. His life will be forever changed now.  Critter Cavalry Rescue has promised Archie he will never experience hunger or confinement that is damaging to his emotional and physical body.  This boy has been cat and dog tested and fine with both.  He is delightful with people and always wears a smile.  He loves being in a house with fun things to do and lots of positive love.   We are looking for a home with love that is unconditional and the ability to be patient and teach Archie the manners he needs to be a great dog.   We think he would be happy in a fenced yard or a family who take him for long walks or hikes and gets his young puppy energy satisfied with the right exercise.  If you are interested in helping Archie by fostering or just simply adopting, please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 5, 2025, 1:16 pm

Story
Shamrock came to us as a stray, and while we don’t know her past, she’s shown us exactly what her sweet future can look like. When she first arrived, she was extremely shut down and unsure of the world around her. Everything has been overwhelming and a little bit scary in the shelter… until she met a dog friend. With the help of a confident, outgoing pup, Shamrock’s personality began to bloom. She watches other dogs closely and takes comfort in their presence. Because of this, Shamrock must go home with a friendly resident dog, one who can continue to show her the ropes and help her feel secure. We’ll require a meet-and-greet at the shelter to make sure it’s the perfect match. Shamrock is still a very nervous girl and may always be on the timid side. She can be flighty on leash, so a fully fenced yard is strongly recommended to help her feel safe and allow her to explore at her own pace. Once she trusts you, she is gentle, quiet, and incredibly tender-hearted. We do not know how she does with cats, and given her sensitive nature, Shamrock would thrive in a calm, adult-only home with patient adopters who will let her settle in slowly and celebrate every little step forward. If you have a soft spot for the shy ones, and a canine companion who loves helping new friends, Shamrock may be the lucky charm your home has been missing.
