Story
Meet River 8 months old • neutered • 52 lbs  • UTD on vaccines & preventionsLab/Hound Mix • Gentle Soul • Dog- & Kid-Friendly At 10 weeks old he and his siblings found themselves at the shelter and lived there until recently. Spending their whole lives in a shelter they need a bit of patience. Leash training, crate training and basic manners are coming along- he is hesitant but eager to please.  River has come around so fast he is such a gentle boy. He just wants to be loved, be around people and cuddle. He loves to run with kids and is great with other dogs. He is so soft, like really soft! For his age he is a very calm boy and rarely makes a sound. Personality    •    A soft careful, curiosity     •    A love for pets and cuddles    •    A calm, quiet nature    •    And a heart that just wants to be loved He will rest his head on your lap, lean gently into your side, and look at you like he’s finally safe. What Makes River Special    •    Extremely sweet & gentle    •    Gets along beautifully with all dogs    •    Wonderful with children    •    Clean in his kennel — sometimes a challenge to get him in     •    Calm and cautious — he is new to living in a home and eager to please     •    Deeply affectionate – he looks at you with the most melting eyes when you love                           on himHe doesn’t ask for much — just kindness, consistency, and someone who understands that he is just getting use to being loved, but is loving with his whole heart. If you would like to have River join your family please fill out an adoption application.  His $500 adoption fee covers medical care up to adoption to include vaccines, neuter, microchip, foster care and transportation to NY. ##2594996##

Story
Meet Paisy Yellow Labrador Retriever / Lab–Hound Mix • ~estimated to be 2 years old at 65–70 lbs.Spayed • Heartworm Negative • Up-to-Date on Vaccines & Preventatives Paisy’s story is heartbreaking — but her spirit is nothing short of miraculous. For years, Paisy lived confined in a crate inside a hoarding home. No sunshine. No yard. No walks. No room to stretch her legs or be a dog. She sat so long in one spot that she developed sore patches on her hind end. When the situation finally collapsed, instead of receiving help, Paisy and her tiny companion, Duchess, were dumped and left to survive on their own.  For two long weeks, these two girls ran the streets together — navigating traffic, hunger, fear, and confusion — just trying to stay alive. But here’s the incredible part: Paisy never lost her joy.She never lost her hope. She never stopped believing life could be better. And now… she is finally getting the chance to live. Personality Paisy is sweet, affectionate, and impossibly loving. She truly never meets a stranger — she adores every person she comes across and blends beautifully with other dogs. After so long being denied basic freedom, she is relishing her chance to stretch her legs, explore the yard, feel the grass, and rediscover what it means to be a dog.  She isn’t wild — she’s just catching up on years she lost. With structure, enrichment, and daily movement, she settles beautifully and stays close to her people with a soft, grateful heart. Training & Manners    •    Crate clean and settles well    •    Learning leash manners (she wants to please and is catching on fast)    •    Dog friendly and blends well with groups    •    People loving and gentle    •    Can be vocal at times, showing her likely hound lineage    •    Needs regular activity to prevent boredom or restlessness She would thrive with someone who enjoys walks, outdoor exploring, or who has another friendly dog to show her the ropes. Her Perfect Home: Paisy is ideal for someone who wants:    •    A grateful, resilient companion    •    A dog who celebrates life with you    •    A loyal heart who will adore her person forever    •    An adventure buddy for hiking, strolling, or porch-sitting    •    A mature, steady dog with plenty of love left to give She doesn’t need perfection.  She just needs someone who sees her — really sees her — and gives her the life she was denied for so long.  If you’re ready for a dog who will love you with all she has, Paisy is ready, too.  If you’re ready for a dog who will love you with all she has, Paisy is ready, too. If you would like to have this beautiful girl join your family please fill out an adoption application.  Her $450 covers medical care to include vaccines, spay, microchip, foster care and transportation from Louisiana to NY. ##2569626##

Story
Hi there! I'm Clay, and I'm on a mission to find my forever cuddle crew! You might notice I'm missing a little bit of fur in some spots, but my heart is 100% full of love (and maybe my cuteness makes up for it?!). I've been told I have the "cutest puppy face" in the shelter, and I use my powers of adorable persuasion to get extra belly rubs and treats. I'm a sweet, happy-go-lucky guy who's just looking for a safe and comfortable home where I can be cherished for who I am. If you have a soft blanket and a lot of love to give, we might be a perfect match
