PO is a super friendly and sweet boy who was adopted out years ago but wasn't doing well with the new baby, now toddler, in the home, and was returned. His owners are heartbroken but don't want to take any chances. He's 7 years old and such a nice dog, but has resource guarding issues, esp around food, which is a bad combination with a toddler. He's great with cats, but can also be iffy on other dogs, so we'd love to find a home where he can be the only dog. He is fully vetted. 👉 Adoption fee INCLUDES: all vetting to age (including deworming, flea & tick etc), spay/neuter and microchip (if the dog is under 6 months, alter and chip will occur after they're 6 months, covered in full at our clinic or reimbursed partially at a vet of your choosing). If the dog is older than 6 months and not yet altered, we will schedule ASAP (normally within 30 days) at our clinic . We also provide as an incentive a $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes. SAMBO is just under 50 lbs of handsome, sweet dog! He looks to maybe have some vizsla in him, and has a bobbed tail. He's been good with dogs outside his home, but needs to be the only dog IN his home in his territory. Sambo is very protective over his area and crate. He really needs an adult-only home and no other animals (dogs or cats), but he'll be a really great companion to the right person/people. Sambo has a lot of energy and needs exercise and to stay busy, or he has a tendency to chew and shred things is he's not given enough exercise and things to keep him busy.
