Little timid at first to strangers but warms up quickly 🔋 Energy level: Medium - Typical pet energy; will need walks and/or play sessions to fulfill energy needs daily. She does entertain herself. She get puppy zoomies 🔓 Are they crate trained kennel trained? Reacon goes in the kennel on her own when I leave the door open to sleep 🚽 Are they potty trained? Working on it; does great on a schedule 🎓 Known commands: Learning sit and let's go potty 🔗 How do they do on leash? Doing very well 🥩 What is their favorite food or snack? I've only given her puppy food as of now 🥎 What is their favorite toy? Just learned how to play with a ball. 👠 Can they differentiate toys from items they are not allowed to chew on/play with? Doesn't chew on anything she shouldn't 🩶 Likes: being with people, dogs and kids ✖️ Dislikes: nothing BEHAVIOR 🐩 Describe how do they interact with other dogs? She does excellent with dogs and takes corrections well 🐈‍⬛ Describe how do they interact with cats? Other small animals? She's is interested in cats but runs from them. 🍼 Describe how do they interact with kids? Does great, she is a puppy so she does jump 👤 Describe how do they interact with people? Meeting strangers? Strangers coming up to the door at home? We haven't had many interactions yet, but she did fine with the Amazon driver. 🚕 How do they do in the car? Fine in the crate in the car 🧼 How do they do in the bath? A bit wiggly but did well 💅🏼 How do they do for nails? N/A 🤝🏼 How well do they tolerate general handling? Extremely well she loves being carried and laying on your lap 🩶 They need more help with...? Basic puppy skills but doing so well ______ 📜 Any known history: Reacon is 15 weeks so she is just learning life outside a shelter. She is from Louisiana 💌 A note from my foster: Reacon is actually a little girl puppy she was thought to be a boy at first. She super sweet and has adapted so well to entering her foster home. She loves being in the backyard and playing with her ball. So far she very quiet and doing very well with puppy training.

The have short bursts of energy, especially when outside, but is a good napper 😝 🔓 Are they crate trained? Mostly, they're quiet in the crate but still learning to not potty when in it (puppy learning to potty train) 🚽 Are they potty trained? Mostly, they go potty outside every time with no accidents as long as they're on a schedule! 🎓 Known commands (if any): “No, thank you” 🔗 How do they do on leash? Unknown at this time, not fully vaccinated to be going for walks yet 🥩 What is their favorite snack? Any dietary restrictions or allergies? We haven’t explored food much, except eggs which were a hit! 🥎 What is their favorite toy? Plush squeaky toys 👠 Can they differentiate toys from items they are not allowed to chew on/play with? She hasn’t chewed anything non toy related nor have I seen her try. 🩶 Likes: Being outside. ✖️ Dislikes: When you walk away from her. 🐩 Describe how do they interact with other dogs? Doesn’t seem to care about other dogs to play in with them, but does snuggle up to them. 🐈‍⬛ Describe how do they interact with cats? Other small animals? Nanook is a 9 year old husky/shepherd/lab mix VERY deserving of a loving retirement home and comfy couch. He has come into our home from an uncertain past but has proven to be sweet and calm. His eye area is still healing from a previous injury. He walks great on a leash and rides well in a car.We started him in a kennel when we weren't home, but quickly realized he wasn't going to destroy anything so once he settles in he is safe to be trusted out of a kennel.He is great with his foster brother, they mostly ignore each other. Like a true sibling he just wants equal attention. He sometimes gets excited when he meets other dogs or takes a minute to warm up. We've seen no food aggression at feeding times. Nanook is very good with our child -gentle and loves to cuddle on her. We have seen no bad triggers with any kind of a person for him. Needs a home that understands husky behavior and noises. the old man grumbles and the cute mini-howls when he wants something. Will need long term medicine for his eye and anal fissures. Takes pills and receives eye drops without any problems. He is a perfect blend of an old man dog with bouts of a happy and playful soul!Contact HumaneCNY if interested in this animal.
