Story
Lowen is wondering why everyone keeps passing her by!  She has been waiting for a very long time for her forever family to find her!  When will it be her turn? Who is willing to give this sweet girl a chance?  Lowen is a 2 1/2 year old lab/shepherd/pit mix with a beautiful brindle coat.  She currently weighs about 56 pounds and is full grown.  Lowen is a very intelligent dog who learns quickly.  She has completed a 4 week Board and Train program where she was one of the favorites!  She knows sit, lay down, heel, come and place.  She is very food motivated and will work all day as she craves mental stimulation.  A preferable adopter would be someone who enjoys the training aspect of owning a dog and being active with her.  Lowen is also potty and crate trained.  One of her favorite things is the water!  Lowen has been dog neutral in training, but due to some fears she has, the rescue is recommending Lowen be an only dog in the home.  Lowen is a sweet, energetic dog who loves her people.  She may need a few meets to get to kmow and trust you, but once she does, she'll be your best friend!  Let's give this girl a chance!   Lowen's adopton fee is $275, which goes towards vaccines and medical care up to adoption and costs associated with fostering.   ##1237305##

Story
Meet Rhea who is part of a bonded pair.  Rhea and her mother, Ruth, were found wandering together as strays in a rural area of Louisiana. They were listed to be euthanized and taken into temporary care while placement could be found.  They lived in outdoor kennels while waiting for someone to help them. We noticed them right before Christmas  2023 and took them into foster care.  Their foster mom says both are very loving.  Momma Ruth is absolutely the sweetest  and loves to snuggle.  Little Rhea always follows her mom around. Their foster mom would like for them to go to a home with someone with patience because Rhea, the little one, needs a little time to warm up to new people. She doesn’t have a shred of aggression.  She’s just scared to death until she knows someone is safe and won’t hurt her, which is totally understandable considering her start to life.  These 2 pups love each other so very much. They are not only Mom and daughter,  but they are truly best friends!  Rhea is estimated to be about 1 years old, and Ruth is thought to be between 3 to 4 years old.  These ladies are lab mixes. They were both treated for heartworm and are spayed. They are fully vaccinated and ready for their forever homes.  If you would like to adopt this bonded pair, please fill out an application. We know that it is a big ask to adopt a bonded pair, but these two rely on each other and so they must stay together!  The adoption fee for this bonded pair is $450 which goes towards their heart worm treatement, spaying, and vaccines. ##1891502##

Story
I adopted Roper back in 2014 when I got out of the Army. He was 4 months and he’s been my sidekick for a long long time. In the last 5-6 years I’ve moved 3 times and had a child and since my son has been alive my dog has had a jealously issue with him to where I’m not comfortable with him around my son due to it. He’s a great dog he’s lovable, loves everyone, loves treats and be lazy but when it comes to my son being around he recluses and his behavior changes. He’s 12 now and I feel like he would be a lot happier in a better situation for him. I love him dearly but it’s for the best to find him a better living situation. If you feel like having an old soul doggo who’s very well behaved, quiet, likes to be lazy and chill Roper is your guy! PS he’s also struggling with the stairs in my house pretty bad :(
