Story
Brownie is 9 years old and has been treated for heartworm since entering the shelter. He is still pretty peppy and could be with a moderately active family and maybe a pup or two that wouldn’t mind playing but would be fine as an only dog as well. Brownie is hoping for a second chance at a home that will love him for the rest of his life. He should not be in a home with cats or small children.

Story
Shock is one of 11 puppies born to Momma Sally. Sally was saved from the KILL SHELTER in the middle of October 2023. She was heavily pregnant about to burst. Sally gave birth to 11 healthy puppies the next day. Whom we named the Nightmare Before Christmas litter, as they arrived JUST before Halloween, and they would be ready for their FURever homes JUST before Christmas!  Shock is a sweet, playful, happy pup, she will turn 8 weeks old on 12/03/2023!  She and her siblings are very young puppies, who have their whole lives ahead of them! They are looking for families to love them, and show them about the world. Shock is not yet housebroken, but has been working on crate training, but she is still VERY young, and will need an adopter to train her. Shock loves all people, dogs, cats, and kids! Her momma Sally is about 40lbs, we expect these pups to grow to be about that size as well, a medium size. If you're interested in one of these darling pups, please submit an application! We process applications in the order in which we receive them.  From Shock's current foster: "Shock is a petite little lady who loves snuggling and stuffed toys. She has beautiful markings with a freckled face and chest, and white paws and tail tip. She plays hard and sleeps hard. Although she is smaller than her brother and sister she knows how to stick up for herself! 8 weeks old 5.2 lbs." ##1878187##

Story
Buddy is a gentle giant who loves his people and his full of happiness. He's a 2-3 year old lab mix and about 100lbs. Unforunately, he comes from a very sad background. His owners kept him outside at night and let their other dogs stay in. Neighbors saw him crying all night at the door, pacing back and forth trying to come in. His owner told his son to take him and dump him, which he did. He was dumped and Animal Control found him and pick him up. We got this information from people who knew him and contacted his owners who said they intentionally "set him out". Buddy is a sweet boy looking for a family who will let him in their home and give him all of the love he deserves. He is crate trained and housebroken. He is friendly with other dogs and people. His current foster describes Buddy as "108 lbs of sheer love, he is such a sweet boy and gets along with everyone!" Due to Buddy's large stature, we do recommend children 8 years old and up.  He deserves love and a warm bed at night. If you are interested in giving Buddy the love and affection he longs for, please submit an application! ##1757172##

Sam Boone is an 11 month old neutered male lab/Border collie mix. He is good with all dogs and all people, and kids of all ages. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  Sam is a happy, playful boy! He is housebroken, crate trained, and good on leash.  He weighs about 45 lbs currently and is not expected to get much bigger.  From Sam's current foster: "I am so lucky to be fostering Mr Sam Boone! He literally is like a big baby! He has grown very fond of me and literally sits on my lap and hugs me!! He nuzzles his head into my shoulder and it's the sweetest thing! This boy is going to make someone have a very loving home!" ##1866587##

Meet Crystal!! This poor girl has been at the shelter for 1 year!!! For what reason you ask?? Because she is black and a Pitt mix. She is the sweetest girl and so loving. She waits at her kennel door waiting for someone to love her and they pass her by everytime. Crystal is such a loving girl who enjoys playing and cuddling with her humans and dog friends. Crystal loves her toys and enjoys having her humans throw them for her outside. She might not bring them back all the time though. She likes the keep away game. Lol!! Crystal enjoys going on nice walks on cold crisp mornings. She will want a sweater or jacket though she said. This girl loves to snuggle and hug her humans. She has so much love to give!!! Crystal cannot be with cats or farm animals. To much over stimulation for her. She is very good motivated and will do great in obedience training classes. She loves to please her humans. Don't pass Crystal by like everyone else has. She has a heart of gold and so much love to give. She cannot wait to meet her forever family!!!!! Story
Meet Julia!! This adorable girl was found with her three other siblings. We named the the Sesame Street group. They were living between a feed store and a car lot and breaking into the feed storage sheds getting into the dog food. The babies thankfully, we’re not feral like their parents. The parents are are lab and hound and border collie and terrier. What a mixture!!! Julia is the most affectionate one of this group. Loves to snuggle with her humans and loves all kinds of love. She will do best with another dog in her forever home. Sadly these poor babies had the slightest clue of what toys are or any of that fun stuff. They will need to learn with their families. They will need obedience training, someone who will be home with them and not leave them more than 3 hrs a day. We take puppies very seriously and will not adopt to anyone who is not willing to go to training and socialize them properly. Also, we know the holidays are right around the corner, and people will be looking for presents. Our dogs and puppies will not be presents of any kind. Please know we have strict guidelines that we will follow during our interviewing process regarding this matter. Julia cannot wait to find her forever family! She can't wait to explore the world and see what it's all about. This group deserves nothing but love, attention, and patience. Apply for these lovies today!!!
