Story
Bella (aka Bella Bells, Bella Wella) was born 12/20/2014 & has been with me since June 2016 when she was just 18mths old, so this will be a big change for her. We celebrate her bdays w/ pupcakes, doggurts, & new toys. We celebrate the holidays (she's worn Halloween costumes, gotten fancy Thanksgiving meals, gets juicy bones & toys & treats under the Christmas tree, etc). Bella enjoys her walks, dog parks & lake trips, but w/ her age, she's slowed down a lot. She's trained, good w/ commands & is very obedient; friends & family that come by and even strangers we pass on our adventures have pointed that out numerous times how well-behaved she is. Bella's fave way to show affection is by licking & she licks a LOT. As long as she's being taken care of by a loving person, couple or family that will have the time & energy & love & care, and as she gets older, the patience for her, I believe she'll thrive in her new furever home ♡

Story
Hello, Zola is 1 year old. Her birthday is March 29, 2024. She was given to me by a friend. She is very playful and needs room to roam. She is crate trained and absolutely loves plush toys, preferably the squishmallows. I am looking to rehome her urgently and will not be charging a rehoming fee. I do hope that the family that gets Zola has a backyard for her to play in but she is an inside doggie.

Story
Meet Rookie Tiger, an energetic and lovable 1-year-old pup weighing in at a solid 84 pounds! Rookie is a big, bouncy bundle of curiosity who’s ready to sprint his way into your heart—literally. His absolute favorite activity is running full-speed and playfully chasing after his people, so if you’re an active human looking for a four-legged running buddy, Rookie might just be your guy. Rookie Tiger is high-energy, especially when he first gets out of the kennel, but once he’s had his zoomies, he settles into a more easygoing rhythm. He’s playful, joyful, and super affectionate, but still learning the ropes. He knows how to sit—especially if there’s a treat involved—and he takes treats with surprising gentleness for such a big boy. He’s a natural explorer and needs to sniff everything, which, along with his strength, means he can pull quite a bit on leash. Positive reinforcement and encouragement work best with Rookie, as he can be anxious in new situations and needs a little confidence boost now and then. Rookie is still learning about the world, including how to be calm in the car and during bath time. He may be nervous at first, but with some love and patience, he gets through it. He’s not much of a toy guy (he’ll chase a ball but won’t bring it back), but he lives for treats and meeting new people—just be ready for some happy jumping! Rookie Tiger would thrive in a home with a yard where he can sprint and explore to his heart’s content. With structure, patience, and someone who loves a goofy, playful challenge, Rookie will be a rewarding and loyal companion. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
