Story
Payzlee loves to play fetch, her favorite thing is the tennis ball. She will be 7 in June, ive had her since she was about 8 weeks old. She does not do well with other dogs, she starts fights. She hasn't been around kids much but she isn't a big fan of toddlers (she has never tried to bite a child, just dogs). I just want her to be happy, and living with other animals does not do that for her. She has a lot of environmental allergies and does require Cytopoint injections to help with them about every 6 weeks, otherwise she breaks out in rashes and gets skin infections. She sleeps with her blankie every night and will carry it around. She is great with people, she barks a lot at first but just wants to play fetch. She is very allergic to fish and will break out in hives all over. She isn't a big fan of cuddling, she loves scratches and pets though.

Story
Modelo is a gentle giant - easygoing, house trained, nondestructive, melts into you for pets, and will cuddly up next to you when thunderstorms make him nervous. He sits for treats and takes them gently. Modelo has lived with older children and has done well with them (early teens). Modelo is a dog's dog. He is fantastic with other dogs - kind of a dog whisperer if you will. Modelo will match his play style to the other dog; he plays and rough house's with dogs that enjoy that, he is gentle and calming with dogs that are more low key or insecure, he picks up on when dogs are uncomfortable or have had enough and responds respectfully and compassionately. Modelo will become protective of his family once he settles in. It is best that if you are having guests or workers over that you have him meet them outside the house, or keep him in a crate or closed room while they are in the house. Modelo is 3 years old and 65lbs. Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Story
I am going to be the bragging foster mom:) Savannah loves to play and would do well with a fenced in back yard where she can run freely. She is high energy and would do best in a home with another medium to large dog that she could wrestle with, run with, and chase. Savannah is also potty trained to go near a fence line and in the same spot all the time. This is the dog you want to take with you to restaurants when dining out. Savannah knows her name, comes when called, can sit, lay down, give a paw, give kisses, and speak on command. She has leash manners as long as she has a harness and the leash is attached to the chest area.....My girl will walk right beside you all the way. We are still working on the command to stay; however, I am fully confident with practice, and consistency she will ace in this area. Savannah gets along with my other foster who is only 15 lbs and a senior, and she tolerates and barks with her tail wagging at my cat, who doesn’t like any other animals including some family members LOL. Savannah is 80lbs of pure love. Once she has attached to her human you are hers for life. This girl will follow you wherever you go and cry when she can’t find you. Savannah is food/treat motivated which would help with any further training you desire. Drop a treat in her crate and she will gladly enter for her bedtime sleep. She gets super excited when I come home from an outing so be cautious of her tail which whips back and forth along with her 80 lb butt:). We are working on not jumping up when she is excited to see me come home from an outing and thus far, she is doing well with verbal reminders and lots of pets on her head and scratches on her bottom. Savannah also likes her quiet time where she finds herself a spot to take a nap. She is neither destructive nor aggressive in any way. Normally I would say Savannah would be lucky to find a good family when actually a family would be lucky to get such a great dog. Story
I adopted Willow a couple of months ago because she was an older dog. I didn't have the time during my busy work schedule to house train a puppy without them destroying my apartment. She is a sweet loving dog but has serious seperation issues. Willow needs a home where someone is there all day (work from home). Doesn't do well in crate when left alone. She needs supervision while outside of crate.
