Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sylvie and her seven babies came to us on 7/11/2022 when the puppies were one day old. There were more than 50 dogs on the property where she came from. She is very sweet but still timid.  Once you gain Sylvie's trust, you have the best friend in the world.  Sylvie is extremely treat and food motivated and will follow you everywhere for her favorite treat.  She loves romping in the yard with her foster siblings, lying on the bed or sofa with her human and especially resting on the back of the sofa like a cat.  She is ready for her own home.  She needs a back yard as she will not walk on a leash. She is doting and loving and protective.  She lets you know when a stranger arrives, whether it is a bug or a person and she enjoys being the protector.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 26, 2024, 11:12 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Lilly! She came from a hoarding situation in South Carolina with her 10(!) babies.  She has overcome so much in her months with the rescue and transformed from a scared, submissive dog to a confident cuddle bug!  She loves toys and running around in the yard.  She is great in the car and just sits and chills.   She loves playing with other dogs and is still cautious at new people -- she will just bark.  Originally Lilly was scared of the leash, but now she loves walks! Lilly's other love is water!  Lilly is a perfect example of what rescue can do to give a new life to dogs. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Weather and all her Puppies came to Pawfect Match when the Babies were less than a week old. Weather was and is still scared to death. You see, Weather came from a property in SC where over the course of 15 months Pawfect Matxh rescued over 200 dogs between the two adjacent property. Weather is the second to last to be rescued but not for lack of trying. She had no name--she was called Juvi girl for juvenile. She has no attention. She is the daughter of Momma Bear and sister of Sylvie, niece of Sadie, Rocket, and Venture. She needs love and patience and someone to show her how to trust. She is finally letting her foster mom pet her though she still flinches. She was recently spayed and believe it or not heartworm and tick born disease negative. She is a manificently sweet girl waiting for love and patience. You must have a fenced yard and be willing to spend months gaining her trust. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application ›   Are you mostly a homebody that loves to be outside in nature walking and hiking?  Do you love to snuggle on the couch or play tug of war in your back yard sharing snacks and hugs?  Do you like sharing your bed with a fella that will stay close to you all night long?  If so, you need to take a look at Nugget.  He'd love to have a home with a nice fenced in yard and his very own people.  He's not much of a 'meeting new friends on leash' kind of guy.  Don't get me wrong, he loves dogs.  He lives with 6 of them.  He just has to meet them on his turf and on his timeline.  If this happens, all is golden and he's a friend for life.  Oh, did I mention he LOVES kids?  He's a little young and big so may knock over little ones with his enthusiasm but he absolutely adores them.  Nugget is a typical young labby mix boy with so much love to give...He's crate trained and house trained and ready for his next chapter.  Please don't overlook this great guy! OMG justt look at Nuggie's new picture.  2 weeks post 'almost dead' from parvo to a beautiful, shiny coat labby boy.  And so happy and playful.  You won't want to miss out on this little guy.   ** CHECK OUT MAVERICK ROSE'S SPECIAL SONG WRITTEN JUST FOR OUR LITTLE NUGGIE*** Little Nugget, aka Nuggie is on his 3rd and final chance at life.  A 'PAWFECT' forever home.  You see, the shelter where we pulled him from euthanizes parvo pups.  If we hadn't have pulled him he was certain to die :(.  Then he spent a week in our ER vet where he tried to die a couple of times but due to their and our diligence and several thousand dollars, he beat the odds there too.  So when I picked him up today I told him that he has a chance at life that very few in his situation gets so he better be the bestest doggie EVER.  He seemed to understand and wagged his tail and gave me lots of kisses. Nuggie is getting to know his foster siblings and learning the ropes.  He needs to gain some weight which we'll get to right away!  He's affectionate, playful and appears to be a great little pup.  Are you the pawfect home he'll be looking for?  If so, please submit your application today!!  EDITED to add, he appears to want to be a lap doggie <3   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 26, 2024, 11:12 am

Usually the babies go fast and the mamas are here for a while. Meanwhile Mama Smokey was adopted months ago. That's how great of a dog she is! Hi! I'm Haleakala! I am full of life and energy. I live up to my name - I'm charming and lively with a big heart and an adventurous spirit. I love being outside. If you love hiking, I'm your girl! If you like play time, I'm also your girl! I'm always staying busy playing with my foster siblings.   I'm named after the stunning Haleakala National Park on the Hawaiian island of Maui, and like the park, I embody a unique blend of different characteristics that make me a perfect companion for anyone who appreciates the joys of nature and desires the love of a loyal dog. Haleakala is a loving and affectionate pup who craves attention and affection from all people. She loves to snuggle up with her humans, cuddle, and play, making her an excellent choice for families with children or other pets. House training is a work in progress. She is doing really well until she is busy playing and she forgets to ask to go out. She sleeps in her crate each night and while foster mom is at work.  This cute puppy is part of the "National Parks' litter that was born within the rescue in April 2023.  These babies have never had a bad day!  Mama Smokey is 42 pounds of sweetness and smiles-- check her out here:  https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=19237961Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 26, 2024, 11:12 am

Story
Meet Stanley! This sweet little guy was found in our neighborhood, going door to door to get warm. We think he is approximately 2-3 years of age. He is super sweet, and will follow you around the house and snuggle every chance he gets. He does great in and out of a crate. He does need food to motivate him to go into the crate. He will need some leash training, he gets very excited and pulls with all the smells. He has not once shown any aggression, he wants lots of attention and affection. He is great with kids - ours call him "Stan the Man" and he lights up every time. We would be happy to keep him, but we have three rescue pups already. Please inquire if you think you can provide a wonderful forever home for Stanley

Story
Hi! My name is Dottie and I'm a 40lb ball of joy! Just look at my smiling face... I'm a social pup and I love all people, including kids! I get along really well with other dogs, too! I'm still a little scared of cats. My foster family has a bunny in a crate and I sometimes like to sniff her, but mostly I just ignore her. I love going on walks and I do great on a leash! If I do have some energy left, tug-of-war is my favorite. I'm not protective over food, toys, or even attention (although I like all three). I love sleeping in my crate all night and sometimes I like to hang out in it to take a little rest. I ALWAYS go potty outside! I have seen a vet, have all my vaccines and my microchip. I have also been spayed. I am heartworm positive, but treatment will be curative and is covered by Peak Lab Rescue at our vet in Apex. I'm a recent mother of ten(!) and I've been on maternity leave these last few months. Mama dogs are always the most grateful to be adopted and reward you with a lifetime of loyalty. I am beautiful inside and out. Please adopt me and give me all the love I deserve!

Story
Hey there, I'm Kari! Roughly 2-3 years old, but who's counting? I'm a big pawed girl checking in at just over 60 lbs. I'm spayed, chipped and up to date on my vaccinations. I'm thrilled to join Peak Lab Rescue as foster care has been the highlight of my life. I check all the boxes for being a great family addition. I wait patiently by the door when nature calls, and enjoy a peaceful slumber in a comfy bed ALL NIGHT LONG. Crate training? Nailed it. I'm friendly with other dogs. From my long stay in foster care, I've easily adapted to different households and have lived with different dogs, a cat, 3 ducks and a 5 year old human. I'm kind to everyone and every thing, and perfectly content to just chill. Foster Mom says I have a "Fan Club! I'm eager to please, quickly learning commands like "sit," and shake. I love a little attention, but no drama here - I'm a quiet, unflappable companion. While kids are cool, they'll need to understand my quirks, like my eagerness for treats (especially apple slices!). I'd LOVE a kid with a good throwing arm as "fetch is my THING! I'm particularly fond of getting out and Foster Mom is sure to take me on walks and hikes. I tested HW positive and my procedure requires 30 days of limited activity. This gives us PLENTY of time to get to know each other better. I'll be ready for summer and we can resume longer walks. Foster pawrents say dogs like me always find their people, so I'm patiently waiting for you to come scoop me up. Follow my journey on IG at the246.fosterdogs, and when Peak sends you foster mom's number, give her a call. She's eager to chat about how I'll make the perfect addition to your family.

Story
Hi there, I'm Abby! I'm a 1-2 year old bubbly pup who is full of love and always up for playtime. I'm a petite lab who is the perfect size to go for walks. I've mastered the art of being a good housemate. Yep, I'm house trained and crate trained already! I've been told I'm great with cats, having spent some fun times with some feline friends during my foster stay. I haven't meet a dog I didn't like. I'm good with kids but have to be reminded to keep all four paws on the ground. I sleep through the night in my crate without a peep. I'm a fan of fetch, absolutely adore my chew toys and walking me is a breeze. I am heart worm positive but I am scheduled for curative treatment in early May (costs covered by PLR at our vet in Apex). I have already been spayed and micro-chipped. Please come meet me and find out how sweet and special I am.

Story
Hello friends! My name is Oboe. I have the sweetest little baby gorilla eyes. I love spending time with my foster sister; she taught me how to play wrestle, fetch, and get a goodie if I sit. Let's talk about my favorite place, the backyard! What's not to love? I can run out my puppy energy, munch on sticks, and chase butterflies. The real fun starts when foster dad brings out the sprinkler and water hose. I learning to come when called. That's important and good manners too. I keep my indoor play calm. I like BIG plush toys. They're fun to shake and then use as a pillow when I'm sleepy. I'm also content to lay at your feet and chew on my deer antler. Now, this is very important. If you get water and don't offer me an ice cube, I will stare at you with my sweet little face and floppy ears until you give me an ice cube or belly rubs. I love all the belly rubs. I am a puppy, so I do love my sleep. I nap wherever I crash, but I always like to spend the night in my crate. I go to the door when I need to potty and now sleep through the night. I'm working on my leash skills. I know you're not supposed to tug, but I get super excited when I see new people. There's so much to learn, but I'm getting smarter every day. With consistent training, I'll be one smart puppy dog. I hope I meet you soon!
