Story
We adopted Bear from Espanola, NM at 8 weeks old about 1.5 years ago after a family trip. He has been a wonderful dog for the past year and a half, and we are heartbroken to rehome him. After a year of ongoing health issues, my doctor confirmed I am highly allergic to him. I had non-allergenic dogs most of my life and never knew I was allergic. Bear completed an 8-week training program through Tip Top K9 and responds well to multiple commands, especially with his training collar. Like any young dog, he is still learning, but he has a great foundation. Recently, he has shown mild nervous/protective behavior around new people entering our home or while on leash, but he settles quickly. He does great with other dogs and attends Annie's Ruff House doggy daycare 2 to 3 times a week, where he is very loved. He also does great in dog parks, We hope to find him an amazing home where he can thrive.

Kiara was caught after running loose in Norman for a few weeks. She is very sweet and a fun dog. She gets along with the other dogs in her foster home and loves Nick, the other foster in the house! She is still young so will need lots of activity and a canine friend in her new home will be a must.

Story
🐾 Meet Titus 🐾 Titus is a 6½-year-old Black Labrador Retriever / mixed breed weighing 50 pounds with a gentle soul and a resilient heart. He came to the shelter after being surrendered by his family, who were worried he needed surgery they could not afford. After veterinary evaluation, it turned out Titus did not need surgery and instead appeared to have a chronic ear issue, which is currently being treated. While there’s no way to predict whether Titus may have related medical issues in the future, he is currently doing well and enjoying life. Titus will need an adopter who understands this uncertainty and is able and willing to provide medical care should any issues arise down the road. Mature dogs like Titus often make wonderful companions—calm, loyal, and deeply appreciative of a loving home. ✔️ Vaccinated ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Neutered If you’re looking for a devoted companion and are prepared to support him through whatever the future holds, Titus may be the perfect match for you.
