Story
A wonderful woman found a stray female adult and took her in. The dog was sick, and she spent her money and time getting her on the right medication, with plans to spay her after the meds were finished. In that time, it became evident the dog was already pregnant...this woman then took on the mama dog and her EIGHT newborn babies. When the mama dog developed severe mastitis and almost died, we took in the babies and two of our amazing bottle fosters are feeding and caring for them literally around the clock. We need to get fosters lined up to take over once the puppies are weaned and on kibble to free up these bottle fosters for the next emergency. The puppies should be fostered in pairs and we provide all supplies. ##2745071##

Story
Meet Duke Elliot Duke Elliot is a 3.5-year-old Labrador Retriever mix with a fun-loving spirit and a heart full of affection. Weighing about 55 pounds, he’s the perfect size for both adventure and cuddles. Duke is a friendly, well-rounded pup who gets along great with kids and other dogs, making him a wonderful addition to many types of families. He absolutely loves being outside, whether it’s exploring, playing, or just soaking up the fresh air. Some of Duke’s favorite things include giving gentle hugs, going for car rides, and playing with every toy he can get his paws on. His playful and affectionate personality makes him an instant favorite wherever he goes. He’s also got great manners—Duke is crate trained, potty trained, and walks nicely on a leash, which makes him an easy companion both at home and on the go. Duke Elliot is ready to find a forever family who will include him in their adventures and give him all the love he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun, and affectionate best friend, Duke might just be your perfect match. Interested in becoming a forever home for Duke? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Gracie Mae is a 6-year-old, 25 lb. sweetheart who has already lived quite a life and is ready for her happy ever after with a family. Before coming to us, she was kept outdoors in poor conditions and suffered severe neglect. She arrived underweight, covered in fleas, and clearly had been through a lot. But with time, love, and care, Gracie has blossomed into a resilient, affectionate dog who is ready to find a family of her own. Gracie has a deformed front leg from an old injury, but it doesn’t slow her down—she runs and plays just like any other dog. She is spayed, kennel trained, potty trained, and rides well in the car. A few things to know about Gracie: Personality: Sweet, affectionate, and eager for attention. She bonds deeply with her people and thrives on love. With Dogs: She has gotten along with the other male dog in her home, though she can be protective over toys. Playtime with toys is best kept separate from other dogs. Due to this she would be best an as only dog. With Cats: Not recommended for homes with cats. With Kids/People: Does well with children. She tends to prefer women but will warm up to calm, patient men. Loud voices or yelling can scare her. Training: Potty trained and kennel trained. Eats from an elevated feeder and uses a slow-feed bowl. Likely not leash trained yet. Play & Energy: Loves toys, especially squeakers, and enjoys carrying them around before playfully destroying them. She has a moderate energy level—she enjoys running and playing but also settles down nicely for cuddles and attention. Gracie’s past was not kind to her, but she hasn’t let it define her. She is loving, resilient, and ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family who will give her the patience, kindness, and stability she deserves. To meet her submit an application here - www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application or send inquiries to our adoptions team at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com Gracie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150.
